Glad your op went well @MummyBearBoo it really isn't ok to talk about you as if you're not there!!
And no idea why people think commenting on appearance is suddenly acceptable when you're pregnant, like you suddenly become public property.

Argh somebody stop me buying clothes! We don't have any first size/tiny baby anymore as we cleared out so apparently this is an excuse to buy enough for three babies....sigh. 😂

Hi ladies. Had my 25 week appointment today! Had quite high glucose in my urine so they'll chekc that next time. I had m and ms on the way so hoping it was just that!! Sending lots of love xxxx

Hatepickinganame · 22/07/2020 09:21

Ugh i thought the sickness part of pregnancy was over 😣 spent last night throwing up and now feel horrendous cause I'm so tired!

professorastrocat · 22/07/2020 10:29

Returning sickness is the worst @Hatepickinganame

Love the bump @Hhdxx nice to check in with you.

Had a bit of a stressy day yesterday as had a minor accident in car, was bumped from behind. Had awful backache since but have been to day unit and monitored baby's heartbeat for a while and all is well.

MummyBearBoo · 22/07/2020 13:03

Glad baby is ok @professorastrocat hope your back feel better soon!

@Hatepickinganame -hope your sickness goes away again! I feel sick after dinner usually coz I just feel too full even if I don't eat too much but haven't been sick yet managed to hold it down yesterday !

@Hhdxx -lovely to hear from you and cute bump pic!!

Seeing the midwife on Friday for the first time in 23 weeks!! Xxx

Hhdxx · 22/07/2020 16:37

Thanks guys.

Is anyone getting really nervous about giving birth and having restrictions with partner being there???

Xxx

Wise0wl · 22/07/2020 21:34

Sorry the sickness has returned @Hatepickinganame, and glad you and baby are ok @professorastrocat

@Hhdxx I’m hoping it’ll all be fine when the time comes, but might be being optimistic!

Just wondering when you’re all finishing work for mat leave? As I’m working from home I was thinking of working 4 days weeks til 38+1 but I don’t know if that’s a mad thing to do (or is sensible?) any thoughts really welcome!

Bumblebee413 · 22/07/2020 22:34

That's such reassuring news @Talcott2007 and a lovely little scan picture- congratulations! I'm sorry you had a scare @professorastrocat, hope your back is feeling much better soon.

I'm feeling a little down tonight for purely shallow reasons. I think I have stretch marks developing at 24 weeks. I was really hoping I might not get them, but I thought at least they wouldn't come until much later Sad. I've been using oil and creams, but I know it's down to genetics really.

I think I might get sent home from work at 28 weeks because of Covid. Longest maternity leave ever! Although technically I think it's paid leave until my mat leave date is officially reached. Not complaining though, I'm finding 12 hour shifts tough and there is just so much to do around the house.

Hhdxx · 22/07/2020 23:00

I'm a teacher and not sure whether I'll be going back September. What does everyone else do and what are your work saying? Xx

Hatepickinganame · 23/07/2020 07:52

Thanks everyone, ive been ok since. The odd moment of oh i feel sick again but no actual vomit. Ive only ever thrown up once in each pregnancy so hopefully that was my one and only haha!

@Hhdxx im retail. Ive not been told anything about potentially finishing early due to covid. Im 20 weeks tomorrow. My mat leave is booked in to start 16 nov (one weeks holiday first) so ill be 36 weeks when j finish, and 37 weeks when my maternity pay kicks in. Plus 2 more weeks of holiday over the next three months means i only have 14 weeks left at work!

@professorastrocat i hope youre ok! How scary for you!!

professorastrocat · 23/07/2020 08:55

Thanks all, I've still been achy but we're all ok.

@Hhdxx re birth partners etc, I wasn't worried but I'm starting to think our trust isn't moving quickly enough in the right direction. Do you know what the situation is in your hospital?

@Bumblebee413 ah stretch marks, another joy, i think they take some getting used to but it's not shallow to be upset.

@Wise0wl I'm actually finishing at the start of September so 33 weeks ish. Work has been very busy in lockdown and my work life balance has been non existent working late at night etc, coupled with having my son at home I don't think I've thought of myself or the pregnancy properly in months. We've another busy period in September and I told them I don't want to do it! 🤣 I work in management in higher education. It would be a different situation in non-Covid times, I'd be staying a bit longer.

Wise0wl · 23/07/2020 10:16

Oh wow, it definitely feels like I’m working quite late on...!

Even though I’ve been working from home I’ve had at least one day per week that’s been more than 15 hours long (often more than that). I’ve felt fine as not commuting, but it’s so difficult to know how much more tired I’ll get!

Have started shopping for baby now which is so exciting. How are you all getting on with prep?

professorastrocat · 23/07/2020 16:34

Everyone is different so do what feels right for you, I've only just started feeling better recently so I've just had enough! 🤣
i worked until 38 weeks last time and had baby a week later. I also have a couple of volunteer projects going on so will be able to focus a bit on them if I do get bored.

OP posts:
Bumblebee413 · 24/07/2020 06:17

@Wise0wl I'd be trying to work as late as possible if it weren't for Covid; keen to spend as much time as possible with baby, although we did the maternity maths last night and I may need to go back far sooner than we were planning. Everyone is going to vary widely on this, just do what feels right for you and take things as they come.

@Hatepickinganame I can't remember if you said a while ago that you'd been taken off the shop floor/ away from the public? I think your employer has to do that by 28 weeks or make arrangements for redeployment/ wfh if not. I think....

Hatepickinganame · 24/07/2020 08:33

@bumblebee413 i had 4 weeks off when i first found out and avoided the peak of it all
When i went back we did my risk assessment and agreed that i should mostly be on a till behind the screens. Since then ive slowly become less worried and do my job as normal. I stay 2m away from people though lol! By the time i get to the 3rd trimester ill mostly be back on till as im struggling to do shop floor work now. There is nowhere to move me (i already do as much office work as possible) and its not possible to work from home. Hopefully it'll stay nice and calm til i leave. I live in a nice rural place and we've had some of the lowest case numbers in the country i believe so 🤞🤞🤞

How is everyone?

MummyBearBoo · 24/07/2020 09:06

I gave up my job when I had DD 3 weeks before she was born -they said whenever I wanted to go back they had a job for me ( I was a property lawyer) and I was planning to go back part time when DD started school but we did want another baby but after two TFMRa I didn't think it would happen but now it is I don't think I'll go back until baby can start pre-school at 2.5yrs old (all being well)! Xx

MummyBearBoo · 24/07/2020 18:38

So 28 weeks appt went well heard baby's heartbeat which was nice she didn't mention gestational diabetes test and I forgot to ask she did bloods again to check my iron levels tho!

She measured my bump and said I'm measuring 2 weeks ahead!! Xx

professorastrocat · 25/07/2020 13:51

Ooh 2 weeks ahead! Are they saying you are actually two weeks ahead then at this stage or just that she's measuring a certain centile? @MummyBearBoo

OP posts:
MummyBearBoo · 25/07/2020 16:01

No just that my bump is big coz the scan is about right development wise but she is bigger than her sister was at this stage! My bump makes me look 31 weeks apparently!

MummyBearBoo · 25/07/2020 17:45

@calimommy from the Feb bus got a BFP! Xx

whatsthecraic91 · 25/07/2020 22:39

@calimommy I remember you! Congratulations 🥳 x

MummyBearBoo · 25/07/2020 23:07
