I know there will be some negative responses but we all make mistakes in life.

I was with my now ex partner for 12 years and having issues therefore split in November, and had a one nice stand in between trying to rekindle the relationship.

I am now 20 & 5 weeks pregnant.

I'm wondering if anyone could help make sense of the dates (will 100% dna the little one to ensure I know who's it is)

Ex partner - 18th November & 26th December

One night stand - 15th December

If you are 20 +5 then I would imagine your LMP would be beginning of december...if your cycles are regular then OV would have occured mid December, so going by that, I would say the 15th December one...

Well working on a due date of 8th September your most likely conception dates were 15-19th December but it's possible you could have concieved from sex any time between about 9th and 24th December.

It does seem more likely that your one night stand is the father based on your dates but nothing is 100%. The only way to know for certain is a DNA test after the baby is born and it's probably the right thing to do based on the situation.

Sorry, just seen your LMP date... are you sure you are 20+5? Or is it 25 weeks?

OK please don't quote me on this, but usually youre at your most fertile 2 weeks after the FIRST day of your period, so I'd assume 18th Nov would be the more likely date tbh. From the sound of it, your period was already late by the time you had the ONS, you were probably already pregnant.

If you really need to know for sure, you can get DNA tests done before the baby is born, as its DNA is in your blood, but probably only privately.

How long is your cycle normally? Surely if your last period was on November 10th you would have been due another period before you had sex on December 15th?

My LMP was 9th Nov, I definitely conceived either 23/24/25 Nov (as thats the only times we had sex that month). I'm 24 weeks pregnant so not sure how you're 20w if that really was your LMP? Anyway if it was, I'd say the 18th was your likely date as sperm can live up to 5 days I think in the body. If you are def 20w, it's more likely 15th Dec as said above.

No my cycles are pretty off to be fair which is why I've struggled to work it out, the ex knows the situation but I'm yet to bring it up to the one night stand which I intend to do this week. Can't believe I've done this.

First day of period 10th November then Sex 18th November on day 8 of your cycle - it's got be ex partner. Sperm can survive a few days or you just ovulate early in your cycle - I do. I have two kids conceived early in my cycle.

You missed your period around the 10th December, so you were already pregnant when you had the one night stand.

If your cycles are irregular I really would scrape the money together for a private DNA test now - I wouldn't be able to cope with the uncertainty! If ex already knows, test against him then if it is his, you never need to inform the ons....

I'd say ex partner is the father from 18th November. Sperm can live for 5 days in the uterus which times with a likely ovulation window of cycle days 10-14. You were borderline 4/5 weeks pregnant when you had the one night stand.

Assuming you're 20wk 5days preg, it means conception occurred 18wk 5days ago (as LMP is assumed to be 2wk prior to ovulation, this is what the dating scan would assume presumably).

So 17th december.

If the dating is accurate, it looks more likely that the one night stand is the father.

PS - if there are negative comments just ignore them, you're an adult, no one but the participants are entitled to an opinion as to what goes on in your bedroom

Based on the date of your LMP would suggest your ex-partner.

Based on your dating scan (assuming your 20+5 gestation is from a dating scan) then it would suggest the one nightstand.

I think if you have irregular cycles then I'd probably lean towards the one night stand in this case.

Although I suppose it could be 25th December if their measurements are out on scan. Really hard to know

The one night sex man is most likely looking at your dates to me.

Oh literally F em all who try with the negative comments! You’ve done nothing wrong.

You could try downloading the Flo app! It’s a period tracker but so an ovulation tracker! It’s by no means completely accurate but if you retrospectively out in your period dates it should roughly calculate your ovulation dates and fertile window!

My workings out are the same as others have said: you take 2 weeks off so would count back 18 weeks 5 days to work out date of conception.

I work it out that you conceived around the 17th December. Sperm can live inside you for up to 5 days.

Based on that, I would say it has to be the ons on 15th December. The other two dates are too early/too late.
