Is my baby shaking?

I'm nearly 28 weeks and for a few weeks now I keep feeling movements that feel like my baby is shaking. I feel it in different parts of my tummy everyday and it definitely feels like baby and not my own muscles. Almost feels like vibrating, it lasts a few seconds and fades away and happens at random times of the day. Anyone else get this or know what it is?

I've heard this lots of times. I believe it's the baby starting to have an immature startle reflex so is jumping and startling waving their arms and legs. I might be wrong though

Hope this link to an old thread reassures you! The OP was also 28 weeks.
Best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy

My baby is now 8 months old and I had this when pregnant with her. When she was born I noticed a few times her leg would do a really fast shaky movement for a second or two and realised this must have been what I felt! It looked like a sort of muscle spasm thing. I never actually mentioned it to any midwife or doctor (second baby so maybe less concerned?!) I think she must of grown out of it as she doesn't do it now and hasn't since she was tiny. If you're really worried then speak to your midwife, but I'm sure there is nothing to worry about, from my experience anyway :)

A thread about this pops up every now and then and nobody ever solves it but it's apparently not uncommon!

Just wait till baby has hiccups. That's the weirdest feeling ever.
