I thought girl originally, then boy for a bit,
but now I feel nothing either way! No clue at all! 🤣 @MrsCl19 @ceebee21

@BabyB19 not long till you find out 😬😬😬 whats your due date again?

BabyB19 · 05/07/2020 08:59

23/08 @MrsCl19 I'm convinced it will happen early though after last weeks scare and then the constant Braxton hicks that can be pretty intense at times. It's much better now the weathers cooler isn't it 😰 x

OP posts:
MrsCl19 · 05/07/2020 09:22

@BabyB19 yes deffo better now it's cooler! I never had braxton hicks with my daughter but been having them since about 16 weeks this time ! So strange!

BabyB19 · 05/07/2020 09:30

I've been pretty caught off guard by a few of my BH episodes tbh they're much more intense than what I was lead to believe and although manageable they're definitely not pain free, my poor back and bum feel it the most @MrsCl19 maybe it's because you're more aware of what they feel like second time around? X

OP posts:
MrsCl19 · 05/07/2020 13:16

@BabyB19 possibly! Are you going to start anything to try and bring on labour when you are full term?

BabyB19 · 05/07/2020 13:33

My fella has a couple of jobs coming up in London which is about a 5 hour drive from where we are @MrsCl19 they were supposed to be done ages ago but lockdown has delayed them so I really want to try and hold on until they have both been done! As soon as he's wrapped them up I'm sure I'll give the old wives tales a try haha. Will you? X

MrsCl19 · 05/07/2020 18:40

@BabyB19 ahhh yeah that's understandable! I tried with dd everything and I mean everything from 36/37 weeks she made an appearance 10 days late 🤣 so I probably will but I have no expectations of him coming on time 🤣🤣

BabyB19 · 05/07/2020 18:46

Hahah @MrsCl19 they come when they're ready don't they. I've just been sat thinking back at how we all thought it was never going to happen on the old thread, like we were never going to get pregnant and now we're discussing the birth already!
Anyone that's interested I did a free online breastfeeding class yesterday with blossomnatal, I found them on Instagram. I found it really helpful!

@BabyB19 crazy isn't it! I have viability day on Wednesday! Wahooo it's flying!

ceebee21 · 08/07/2020 11:12

Forgot to say I had another scan on Saturday - DH was allowed in and it was the first time he has seen baby! He was very happy.

Another one next weekend to find out the gender.... exciting! Just hope they can see.

@ceebee21 Awh lovely that he could attend! And how exciting!

I'm going boy! 💙.... warning I'm usually wrong 🤣

BabyB19 · 08/07/2020 18:22

Aww how lovely @ceebee21 I'm going boy too! 💙💙💙

Jonesbabynumber1 · 09/07/2020 09:11

@ceebee21 amazing scan. I bet it was lovely he could attend.

I’ve been really thirsty lately waking up several times a night when I mentioned to midwife she refereed me for bloods for G Diabetes so waiting for results. This pregnancy going to kill me off.

MrsCl19 · 09/07/2020 10:05

@Jonesbabynumber1 I had the GD test with my dd but they said I never needed it this time. But my weight is increasing rapidly so I'm going to push for them to either check the size of him or for the bloods I think

Have you got a lil bump coming along?

ceebee21 · 09/07/2020 11:42

Thanks all - it was really nice and he was really happy for sure. The only scans he has been to have all been very negative! So very pleased to see a wriggling baby and see the heart beating away.

I have a low PAPP-A score is it?! and my sister had Pre Eclampsia so I am now on Aspirin until birth... hopefully to avoid getting Pre eclampsia. My sister also had GD, so probably have that test as well - all so much fun

Jonesbabynumber1 · 09/07/2020 12:10

@MrsCl19 they weren’t going to do it as I’m had no close relatives and my bmi was normal, but cause of weightloss and waking up 8 times a night for a drink they tested. Test results came back as all normal. I’m must be so sensitive to hormones 🙈.

Jonesbabynumber1 · 09/07/2020 12:13

I’ve got a tiny bump if you can call it that 🤦🏼‍♀️. No idea what Papp is I would know if mine was low or high. I see lots of people on aspirin for pregnancy. I’d love a good nights sleep thankfully I’m working from home so spend my days on sofa in pjs

BabyB19 · 09/07/2020 12:18

Haha how tiny @Jonesbabynumber1 you'll be glad of that by the end, I regret wishing my bump along now I was desperate for it and now I'm at the stage where I cried yesterday because I couldn't reach the back of my ankle to scratch and itch 🤣 I had the GD test I was drinking tonnes through the night too but mine was also ok.
I'm so happy we're all coming along now. I've only got 6 weeks left, I am absolutely done with it and ready for baby now.
Glad he got such a nice experience @ceebee21
I'm still keeping an eye on my bp as still swelling even though it's not hot anymore 🤦🏽‍♀️ @MrsCl19 xx

OP posts:
Jonesbabynumber1 · 09/07/2020 12:28

@BabyB19 ah I’m mixed I like that my clothes still fit and I don’t want to be massive as I’m short but a bump would definitely make everything feel more real as obviously the sickness, excessive peeing and thirst isn’t enough of a confirmation lol 😂 its the waking at night to drink that’s effecting me I wake my husband as well he’s knackered. Wow 6 weeks they say that the last stage drags the most.

BabyB19 · 09/07/2020 12:39

I'm exactly the same @Jonesbabynumber1 constantly drinking water by the gallon, which in turn doesn't help the weeing does it hahah. It's still going quite quickly tbh but I am struggling more and more each day now. I had really strong braxton hicks again last night I'm constantly in the bath, which half excites me because I know it's not far off and half scares the shit out of me because they're quite intense and it's not even the real thing hahah x

OP posts:
Jonesbabynumber1 · 09/07/2020 14:06

@BabyB19 does it wake up up at night. I’m the same I’ve never drunk so much water in my life. Glad it’s going quickly for you. Yes exciting and nerve wracking all same time. What have you said on your birthing plan about pain relief? I haven’t even thought about birth at the moment it’s one day at a time lol.

BabyB19 · 09/07/2020 14:09

Yeah @Jonesbabynumber1 I drink all my water and then OH water and then fill mine up when I go to the toilet! I've found watching my salt intake is better Cos I'm a bugger for it! Pain relief wise I'm open to anything but would rather not have an epidural if I can manage without it. The bath is amazing for the braxton hicks it soothes them soon as I'm in so I'm hoping for a water birth!

OP posts:
MrsCl19 · 09/07/2020 18:18

@BabyB19 ahhhh it's so close for you! So exciting!!!

I was very similar with my birth plan, I would just say make sure you read up on pethidine before you go into labour. It completely knocked me out and I didn't have a clue what was happening

BabyB19 · 09/07/2020 18:59

Really @MrsCl19 that's the one all my friends tell me is amazing? 🤣 I'm going to just start at the bottom and try and moderate it as much as possible but I'm going to try and be a hero and not have more if I need it. I've downloaded the Freya app which has been highly recommended and have been having a listen to that to help with breathing through contractions!
My OH has just been given his dates for two jobs in London which will be when I am 36 and 38 weeks pregnant and he will be away for 3 days at a time. I'm going to be a nervous wreck until he gets back 🤦🏽‍♀️ xx
