Hi,

I know this has been asked before but I can't find the thread. I'm struggling to find newborn size clothes and low tog sleeping bags. Due in 6 weeks and it's the last few key things I need. I have looked on lots of websites (Sainsbury, peacocks, Matalan, etc) but it all seems to be sold out in the smaller sizes. Does anyone have any suggestions of where else to look?

I even tried in store at Sainsbury's tonight and nothing. Worried I'm gonna have a starkers newborn 🤣

GAP have a 40% off sale at the moment and there's some bargains at mama and papas. Sainsburys should have some sleeping bags in stock as I was in the Tu website the other day

Lemonysherbet · 13/04/2020 21:35

Thanks @wolfgirrl I've tried gap and they have no low tog sleeping bags in newborn size. Sainsbury's had barely anything in store. No sleeping bags apart from 18-24 months

Have you looked at boots online OP? I know they had some bits the other day. I’m in the same boat! I had to get some 0-3 month bits and everywhere is sold out 🙈

Can you also check fb sale sites? Some people are still selling baby items given the situation of nothing being available online

Lemonysherbet · 13/04/2020 21:36

Hadn't thought of mamas and papas though, I didn't realise they sold clothes- thanks!

Asda? John Lewis?

erised · 13/04/2020 21:36

I was worried about the same thing too, could not find any newborn items at supermarkets. I managed to find some vests and socks from Morrisons baby range (Nutmeg), there was quite a bit in stock, my mum managed to find 1.5 tog sleeping bags in Tesco and I've just ordered some bits from ebay and etsy as I couldn't find much else.

Smithtylater · 13/04/2020 21:38

Asda have some. They are doing free delivery at the moment on orders over 30 pounds. Their baby clothes are good value.

moobar · 13/04/2020 21:38

Amazon have 0.5 grobags on offer just now from gro

Undomesticgodde55 · 13/04/2020 21:38

Had a lot of baby bits delivered by very including low tog sleeping bags

Elouera · 13/04/2020 21:40

Argos (might be the same as Sainsburys, but I can see newborn body suits), asda, M&S, John lewis.

OlivejuiceU2 · 13/04/2020 21:41

Keep trying Asda as they were back in stock last week, delivery won’t arrive for a while though. Managed to get a sleeping bag from Argos when we ordered next to me crib.

ohwerehalfwaythere · 13/04/2020 21:42

I get all my baby stuff from M&S and John Lewis, both still delivering

Lemonysherbet · 13/04/2020 21:42

@Rainbowchampagne it's such a weird problem to be having. Maybe shops aren't restocking as its not a key set of items, but it's actually quite stressful in an already stressful time! I did look on boots but I think I'll just do the rounds again to check I've not missed anything. FB is a good shout too thanks!

@okiedokieme yeh tried all the supermarkets online and department stores.

@erised I'm glad you found some bits, I've not got a morissons near me but I'll see if they sell online. Hard with the limited deliveries from supermarkets too but maybe it's different with clothing. I know I saw people saying they were struggling on here a few weeks ago but I thought If I left it it might return to normal like the toilet roll situ 😂

I've bought lots of last minute clothing from George at ASDA recently.

Sometimes the smaller sizes (first size, 0-3m) were showing as out of stock but usually when I'd check back the next day, they would have been restocked.

Really good quality for the price too.

hoping2018 · 13/04/2020 21:43

Amazon has everything!

user1472721797 · 13/04/2020 21:46

Aldi had low tog sleeping bags on their website. Free delivery over £15

erised · 13/04/2020 21:52

@Lemonysherbet I ordered the Morrison's clothes online :) Just had another look and they have quite a bit on there. Might have to buy more.

Lemonysherbet · 13/04/2020 21:54

Thanks all, I'll just keep checking back I guess. Aldi and Asda are both currently completly out of anything below 2.5 tog sadly!

H&M have small baby clothes and sleeping bags online; I couldn't see the tog rating for the sleeping bags, but you might have more luck!

doublecheeseburgermediumfries · 13/04/2020 22:08

Next has opened online for children's wear orders today I think? However once they reach max order number it shuts again.

Nelbert19 · 13/04/2020 22:13

I had the same problem OP - went to a big tesco and they were fully stocked in store. Not ideal when we’re supposed to be strictly social distancing, but I got all the babygrows I needed

NelliePig · 13/04/2020 22:17

Next is doing baby clothes only online. They had newborn earlier, but turned off aas hit their orders for today. Check in the morning. X

Jessikka · 13/04/2020 22:18

I found a 1 tog sleep bag on Dunelm of all places!
