Need a bit of hand holding

I think I need a bit of hand holding here.

9 + 4 pregnant with my first pregnancy after TTC for 18 months. I started bleeding around 7 hours ago. Nothing major but its there when I wipe.

The past week or so I've had this overwhelming feeling of not being pregnant. Any nausea gone, boobs aren't as sore although I've still been constantly tired.

Today I've just had this heavy feeling in my stomach, almost like my period was away to start.

I'm absolutely devastated. I've booked a private scan for tomorrow as I just can't wait until next week. I just know what the outcome is going to be and I don't want to prolong it any further.

I really don't think I can go through the heartbreak of TTC again, I really don't :(

Thank you. I honestly don't know how to sleep. I've been tossing and turning all night so far.

I'm so sorry you are feeling like this, best of luck for the scan, I really hope it's good news

anjahaa · 22/02/2020 03:00

Has anyone gone into a scan absolutely positive that their baby was gone, to be pleasantly surprised?

I don't want to give myself false hope, but at the same time I just wish so much that I'm wrong.

Never felt my heart break as much as it had tonight.

Oh op this is awful. While it never happened me, bleeding absolutely doesn't mean the worst. I have read so many examples of people who found good news. Actually a woman near me was told there was no HB and went back for a confirmation a week later and was told the first person was an idiot basically, baby was fine. So it does happen. I think expect the worst hope for the best is the best attitude, I really hope it's ok. And if it's not you WILL get through it so much support here Thanks

Handhold for you OP as I have been in the same situation and well remember the horrible limbo period whilst awaiting a scan. Every hour seemed to drag interminably and I felt such crushing sadness at the realisation that my long awaited pregnancy was threatened. Like you I had had bleeding and a lessening of symptoms and In my heart of hearts I knew I wouldn’t have a good outcome. Sadly I was proved correct but at the same time I have had friends in identical circumstances for whom the bleeding did not signal miscarriage and went on to deliver healthy babies. Bleeding most definitely can occur in healthy ongoing pregnancies, and 9 weeks is the point at which the placenta starts to take over and symptoms can lessen naturally for some women at this point. I truly hope that this is the case for you, and the scan brings you reassurance.

rainbowstardrops · 22/02/2020 03:52

I have my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻Thanks

Lou573 · 22/02/2020 04:03

I bled in both my pregnancies OP, quite a lot both times at various points.

anjahaa · 22/02/2020 04:30

As much as I want to be positive I've been cramping pretty much all night.

I think I'm going to phone at 8am to see if they have any earlier scans. The waiting is just messing with me now.

Several huge episodes of bleeding and pain with both babies, with huge clots, and both made it.

GaaaaarlicBread · 22/02/2020 06:28

Sending you so much love and hand hold for you. I had a scan at 7+6 and was ready for them to say I wasn’t pregnant . Was very pleased to see what looked like a sea horse with a heart beating away. Currently 13 weeks now. Please remember you can get through this and hopefully this is just a blip and the scan will put your mind at ease. We are all here for you xx

OpticVA · 22/02/2020 06:30

Really hope you have a good outcome OP. I had a bit of bleeding in my pregnancy at about 6 weeks, bright red and intermittent for 2-3 days and I have a 14 MO DD now. I had also been TTC for nearly 18 months so can imagine how scared you must be feeling. Keeping everything crossed for you today Flowers

Goodebe · 22/02/2020 06:34

Have you tried early pregnancy unit? They told me to just come straight down no waiting, which is awful... good luck today.

MrsMyreton · 22/02/2020 07:01

Hi OP

Sorry to hear what you're going through. At the end of January, I had a big bleed, passed clots and product. Went to the hospital for a scan a few days later to have miscarriage confirmed to find a healthy baby at just over 6 weeks with a nice heartbeat. I have an ongoing haemorrhage/frequent period like cramps but have been told haemorrhage it is in the 'right place' to not affect baby (we hope). Holding out for 12 week scan now, in March.

sel2223 · 22/02/2020 10:19

Really hoping for a positive outcome for you OP. Good luck for your scan x

anjahaa · 22/02/2020 10:22

I've woken up feeling a little bit more positive but I don't know if thays just because I don't physically have any more tears left.

My scan is in a couple of hours and is a good hour away so we're going to be setting off soon. Will let you know how we get on

@anjahaa know exactly how you feel my lovely!! Thanks

Had exactly what you are experiencing at 9 weeks 3 days... bleeding not really heavy but also the cramping like period... had a scan and baby was absolutely fine almost 11 weeks now...there are a lot of reasons why you can bleed in pregnancy especially your first trimester... the nurse said your uterus and cervix is very vascular so when baby is growing inside and stretching your uterus it can sometimes cause some bleeding.... Try and stay positive xxxx

CheesecakeFactory87 · 22/02/2020 10:28

Thinking of you OP. Hope you get the positive news you're hoping for xx
