Concert whilst pregnant?

I have just found out I'm pregnant, roughly 4 weeks. I booked tickets for my chemical romance for June so I'll roughly be around 5 months. I have seats far back from the stage and not standing.

I think you'll have a great time! Babies in the womb love the loud music. Keep hydrated and enjoy.

TheMostHappy · 03/02/2020 18:36

I went to see take that when I was 9months pregnant - and was upgraded to complementary seating right at the front. Enjoy!

Racheyg · 03/02/2020 18:42

I did lots of concerts while pregnant. And even Glastonbury at 8 months.

You might feel tired but I'm sure you and baby will have a great time

iklboo · 03/02/2020 18:54

I went to see Kings of Leon when I was 7 months pregnant with DS. He's still a fan Grin

Midnightdream · 03/02/2020 18:58

Thank you all for your replies, I started crying as I've always wanted to see them. I was worried due to the noise and I'll probably be singing(maybe screaming lol) my heart out.

@Midnightdream which day are you going?? May see you there!! I have Rammstien on the Sat in Coventry and managed to get MCR on the Sunday (MK is my home town!) - and just found out I'm pregnant! Luckily I got seated tickets for both - I can't wait to get a cute emo pregnancy top to wear Grin

MummaGiles · 03/02/2020 19:23

You’ll be fine

Midnightdream · 03/02/2020 19:43

@Gurtie28 I am going Saturday! What are the odds, its mine also. I use to live on leadenhall. I booked a cute one bedroom apartment in Stony Stratford for the weekend. I'm feel a lot more relieved now. Maybe if its girl helena is on the name choice Wink

@Midnightdream Helena! That's a great idea hahaha!! I am in Wolverton so sure I can persuade hubby to give me lifts to and from Grin Congratulations on your BFP - is this your 1st?

Midnightdream · 03/02/2020 20:05

@Gurtie28 its actaully on my list with a couple others! We wont be far from each other at one point. Thank you, congratulations also. This is my second, I have a DS who is 7. What about you?

I saw Five Finger Death Punch in Cardiff last week (currently 8w5d) and just hung out at the back. Still planning to go to Download in June!

LBOCS2 · 03/02/2020 20:28

Both my babies saw The Offspring in utero, and I took my youngest with me as an 8mo bump to see Bowling for Soup. It was fine :)

CupCupGoose · 03/02/2020 20:28

Ah man so jealous you managed to get tickets! I saw them play about 14 years ago, they were amazing. I was supposed to see slipknot last month at 8 months pregnant and I was worried about how loud the music was so asked the midwife who said it was fine as long as I wasn't in the mosh pits obviously!

Gurtie28 · 03/02/2020 20:28

@Midnightdream yes my second too! I have a DD who is almost 3. We were a long time TTC so I am really nervous - just sent hubby out to get me some more tests as I've been cramping today - the irrational thinking is setting in!
@Pralinehalo I am desperate for download tickets - I want to go just for the Sunday so waiting for them to start releasing day tickets.

toomuchteaandcake · 03/02/2020 20:29

You can do most things while pregnant! Enjoy!

Gurtie28 · 03/02/2020 20:33

@CupCupGoose don't give up hope! There are still some resale sites that are fan to fan for face value - keep checking! We saw Slipknot in B'ham last month - in fact I'm pretty sure that was the night of conception Blush unfortunately the sound quality in the arena was so poor the whole show was very disappointing Angry

Mum2b2020 · 03/02/2020 20:39

I dont know what venue you're going to, but wembley stadium will swap standing tickets for front row seats if you dont think you'll be able to stand for the whole night.

okiedokieme · 03/02/2020 20:48

And the question is? I went to gigs right through, nightclubs too. Dd is a semi professional musician!

Midnightdream · 03/02/2020 21:00

@Gurtie28 I had cramping for a couple weeks and partner said could you be pregnant and I'm thinking no way lol. Nearly fainted when I saw it say pregnant!

@LBOCS2 would love to see them live, another of my favourite bands followed by system of down, gutted both are playing download!

I saw Foo Fighters at Milton Keynes Bowl in 2011 whilst 7.5 months pregnant! Found a quiet(ish!) spot towards the back at the top of a slope and sat on the grass for most of it!

Pralinehalo · 03/02/2020 21:02

@Gurtie28 I'm so looking forward to it, glad we decided to splurge and go for a yurt though, husband is a giant and the thought of sharing a little tent, 6 months pregnant, with a drunken giant for 5 nights is more than I could handle! Only thing I'm gutted about is that Rammstein aren't headlining coz I'd have loved to see them again.

Lipperfromchipper · 03/02/2020 21:05

Of course you can go!!Confused I have a Norwegian friend who skied the WHOLE way through her pregnancy OP...you can do pretty much anything you were doing pre pregnancy (including going to concerts!)

FestiveBake · 03/02/2020 21:06

Went to an Erasure concert the night before my DD was born! She was bopping away in there all night.

Doyoumind · 03/02/2020 21:07

If you're in seats, you will be fine. Baby will be fine and will have a dance. Even in a crowd you would be fine but probably would worry so you wouldn't enjoy it as much.

bobble53 · 03/02/2020 21:11

I went to Catfish and the bottlemen 38 weeks and another 2 weeks earlier. You’ll be fine!
