Worried my bump is too big for 16.4 wks - WARNING PHOTO

NC. Sorry about the embarrassing photo but I am worried as I suddenly seem to have ballooned in the last 10 days.
For context I am normal tall size 12 with a flatish tummy. 10 days ago I was still in my size 12 jeans and looking normal albeit slightly bloated round the tummy. Now this which I feel is HUGE for 16.4 weeks??? I feel like I look 8 months pregnant. Is growth at this rate normal? It literally feels like it's happened overnight.

I don’t think it looks big at all. But I don’t know how it looked before 🤷‍♀️

MrsBumpBump · 01/02/2020 14:32

It was flat before!

It doesn’t look big to me? Just a normal bump!

HotDogGuy · 01/02/2020 14:32

This is normal. Bumps can grow at different rates especially in the beginning.
Sorry but if you think you look 8 months pregnant there you’re in for a real shock!

DecemberSnow · 01/02/2020 14:35

I wouldn't even say you look pregnant

If you think / feel 8 months pregnant... Then just you wait :)

OlivejuiceU2 · 01/02/2020 14:37

I’m 16 weeks tomorrow and was worrying I was looking too big too. I look similar to you. Going to ask the midwife when I see her next week what she thinks

I’ve got an unexpected bump at 15 weeks - it appeared over the past week and like yours was just suddenly there overnight!

I’m also a tall 12 and wasn’t expecting a bump for another few weeks yet. I’ve been drinking fybogel like it’s going out of fashion, thinking it was bloating, but I’ve come to the conclusion the bump is here to stay!

meandmylot · 01/02/2020 14:44

It's bigger than I'v been at that number of weeks but will be smaller than other peoples! Everyone's bump is different but that definitely looks no where near an 8 month bump!

GrimDamnFanjo · 01/02/2020 14:44

Honestly the baby has to fit somewhere!
Women carry differently. I had a friend who was normal sized but had quite a deep pelvic area. Barely looked pregnant until about 39 weeks!
You look great. You'll find the shape may change too. Just wait till the bump stats moving around!

yogo · 01/02/2020 14:50

Nah you just wait until you're 8 months. It's nothing like that.

latheritup · 01/02/2020 14:50

There is not a 'normal' size. Everyone's are different so please don't worry. You look healthy and a good shape!

Boots20 · 01/02/2020 14:53

The best way to feel/see the true size of your bump is to lie flat on your back and look, alot of 'bump' can be bloating etc. I think it looks fine btw

DesLynamsMoustache · 01/02/2020 14:56

That's nowhere near 8 months pregnant! I was bloody massive at 8 months. That looks entirely average to me.

Mummyoflittledragon · 01/02/2020 15:00

That might be 8 months for a 16 yo or top athlete. I had a definite bump by your stage.

DesLynamsMoustache · 01/02/2020 15:00

It's much better once you get past the 'looks like one too many kebabs' stage and get a more rounded bump. I just looked fat for a while and then one day I woke up and actually looked pregnant instead Grin

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 01/02/2020 15:00

You've 'popped'. I did that with DS1. Didn't look at all pregnant one day, then suddenly had a medicine ball up my jumper...

PullingMySocksUp · 01/02/2020 15:02

I don’t think we are very many heavily pregnant women out and about. Google a bit and you’ll see you will get much bigger Smile

Notso · 01/02/2020 15:03

Don't worry! Your bump has probably just 'popped', it can happen overnight.
Mine didn't pop until around 16 weeks with my first but much earlier with my others.

PullingMySocksUp · 01/02/2020 15:03

we *see many

LoveIsLovely · 01/02/2020 15:04

You barely even have a bump, it just looks bloated.

8 months? Nah.

illandBored · 01/02/2020 15:04

You popped !

LangittleClegabbage · 01/02/2020 15:07

Ha ha! Here is an 8 month pregnant bump! (Not me, stock photo)

MarinaMarinara · 01/02/2020 15:13

Looks about similar to how I looked at 16 weeks first time but a fair bit smaller than I did at that point second time.

THIS massive whale sized bump is me at 8 months pregnant!
