I'm 5+4 and Uncle Bens Golden vegetable rice is repulsing me. I had it with dinner on Tuesday and now the thought of it is making my skin crawl! I saw a packet in Asda this morning and I actually started gagging at the sight of it 🤢. What are your food aversions?

Wine. It started tasting metallic and horrible before I realised I was pregnant.

Bookworm83 · 19/01/2020 14:14

Raw cucumbers 🤮

LH1987 · 19/01/2020 14:15

Red meat, I cant bear the smell of it now. Uncle Bens rice is very specific Grin

Bezalelle · 19/01/2020 14:28

Most foods that aren't extremely plain!

However, I tend to take against stuff really easily. Was craving salt and vinegar rice cakes the other day so bought a big packet. Now they turn my stomach.

I'm majorly off chocolate and coffee too - my former staples!

SheepSocks · 19/01/2020 14:42

I went off eggs benedict, more specifically holindaise sauce. DD is nearly 2 and a half and my skin still crawls and I nearly throw up at the thought of it. The aversion never left me!

buddhababy2019 · 19/01/2020 15:03

Diet Coke - and oh my god I loved the stuff before!! I hope once baby is here the aversion to my fave drink buggers off lol

Lozz22 · 19/01/2020 15:51

Mins was chocolate. In fact it was the biggest indicator I was Pregnant because I suddenly went from eating chocolate every day to feeling sick at the thought of the stuff. The other indicator was the fact I could really taste the milk in my hot chocolate and it had the same kind of funny after taste normal milk has. Miscarried at 9 weeks and only started eating chocolate again around Xmas time. That was more of the fact it reminded me that I wasn't pregnant anymore

Fraise22 · 19/01/2020 17:20

Chocolate, I used to devour bars of Dairy Milk, now just the mention of it makes me shudder.

Bby20 · 19/01/2020 17:43

I have gone off so much but the worst so far is chicken and broccoli. I'm very into fitness and would live off chicken and broccoli every day for lunch, but just the thought of it now keeps making me want to be sick. It's not having my chicken and broccoli for lunch which is making people at work suspicious 😂

FernBritanica · 19/01/2020 17:48

Mine seem to change every day, with the result that my cupboards are full off half eaten packets of food Confused.

Milk chocolate seems to be a consistent one though. Dark is still fine.

EstebanTheMagnificent · 19/01/2020 17:55

Chicken.

OlivejuiceU2 · 19/01/2020 17:56

Alcohol from the start, biggest indicator I was pregnant. broccoli too which I normally eat loads of. Oh and tea and coffee which I guess is a good thing to not have caffeine

SparkleUK · 19/01/2020 20:03

Chicken but only specifically proper breast of chicken. If it's got a coating or battered etc I can eat it but the texture of just plain chicken or only in a thin sauce makes me feel ill 🙈

user1493413286 · 19/01/2020 20:05

Milk and chicken breasts although that’s got better as my pregnancy has progressed

RedRobin7 · 19/01/2020 20:07

Spinach ☹️ Used to love it!

EssElsiee · 19/01/2020 20:20

Sausages and Chinese!!! So weird...

jdy123 · 19/01/2020 21:12

Mines roast dinners...any type of roast dinner ! Didn't manage very well on Xmas day!
and hot chocolate with squirty cream Sad

akg89 · 19/01/2020 21:21

I'm 18 weeks nausea and sickness still going strong and my aversion are..... everything!!!! The thought smell and look of food just repulses me!

ChipsAreLife · 19/01/2020 21:24

@chanel How funny. In my last pregnancy all I wanted was uncle bens rice 😂😂😂 it was my craving!

For me (currently on number three) it's always meat, I can't beat the thought of it! Fine after 12 weeks normally! Can't get enough of ice 🧊

Soda123x · 19/01/2020 23:16

Since being pregnant the thought of anything that's not plain really puts me off eating it. So much so Im pretty much living on cereal, toast, meat, veg, fruit and yoghurts. I've never eaten so well. The thought of a takeaway really turns my stomach. I've never eaten so well hahaha and at 35 weeks pregnant have only put on 7lb xx

mamabear2409 · 19/01/2020 23:19

When I was pregnant with my son, I couldn't stand meat until my last trimester and even after he was born, I wasn't eating much of it. Mostly chicken. The smell of it made me heave. Oh and bananas.

Walnutwhipster · 19/01/2020 23:21

Coriander and English mustard, the slightest hints make me retch.

Umberta · 20/01/2020 00:07

For me, chocolate and (eeeeurgh) olives! I always used to love olives! But now even if they're chopped up as part of a stew or something it's so gross 🤢
I was at nando's the other day and, for some reason, forced myself to gaze into the big bowl of olives at the till as "exposure therapy" 😂

Umberta · 20/01/2020 00:09

Ps but unlike a pp, english mustard helps me get food down atm. I have to have strong flavours to mask the taste of what I'm actually eating, otherwise I feel sickish, so it's mustard, wasabi or encona hot sauce every meal 😂

EmilyG2020 · 20/01/2020 13:38

Vegetable soup and red meat 🤢 are the main things but a lot of things are making me feel sick
