@raspberrypickle I'm in Scotland but I think they do that here now. Will see when I have my booking in.

My son is 2. He'll be 3 in April.

Enjoy your weekend.

Thanks so much @BecsterG Iv been awake half the night worrying. I’m actually thinking it could be good news because yesterday and this morning my symptoms are so strong. My sensitivity to smell is off the charts, My husbands life is in danger every time he cooks something 😂😂
How are you feeling?

BecsterG · 02/02/2020 10:31

@Cruiser1 well that sounds promising. God I know how that feels waiting for a scan from last time.

Haha your poor husband. When is the scan?

@BecsterG it’s today at 1.30 we will have to bring DD with us, hopefully she will sit and watch the phone for 20 mins🤞
I just need to know which direction this pregnancy is going before I go back to work tomorrow because I seem to get the bad cramps in work in the afternoon 😰

BecsterG · 02/02/2020 10:47

@Cruiser1 Fingers crossed she will. Yes you want to know what's happening so you know how to deal with it all.

I still only feel slightly nauseous but my nipples still hurt like hell. Ha ha I'm 6 weeks today. Feel like I should be at least 10! Ha ha

I've been thinking of you @Cruiser1 really hope you're ok x

Cruiser1 · 03/02/2020 09:44

Hi 👋🏼 @raspberrypickle I’m ok ye, we saw on the screen the sac and yolk sac but no heartbeat yet. I’m still very nervous and dr saying I should be resting as much as possible.
How are you getting on?

BecsterG · 03/02/2020 10:01

@Cruiser1 Are you about 5 weeks? When I went for an early scan last time I was just 6 weeks and I was advised that the scan might be inconclusive as often it can take another week to see a heartbeat so fingers crossed. Do you have to go back in a week or two for a follow up scan?

So sorry you're going through this as it will be on your mind constantly.

@BecsterG ye 5weeks 5days so apparently it’s what we should be seeing at this point. I’m hoping to get in for another scan on Friday, even though they wanted me to wait 10 days. I just don’t think I can wait that long 😰
They don’t seem to understand the emotional side of losing all these babies 😰

BecsterG · 03/02/2020 10:30

@Cruiser1 try and remain positive for now although I know that's so hard. Have you got time off work?. If you can get back in on Friday that should be enough time for a heartbeat. It's standard them wanting to wait longer so the baby grows. I had to wait two weeks in between scans last time and it was the longest two weeks of my life so I'm pleased you pushed for Friday!

I'm waiting for a call back from EPU to get a date for my early scan. I'm hoping I can have one next week as I'll be 7 weeks then so past the stage I lost the babies in October last year.

OP posts:
Cruiser1 · 03/02/2020 10:36

Aw that’s a good sign isn’t it? I was 7 weeks when I lost the last one so Iv a bit to go yet.

Ye I’m hoping they will see me on Friday but they might not. I can’t imagine waiting 2 weeks il be losing my mind with worry!

I know it seems crazy to some people but every day that goes by I get more attached to this baby and if I lose it then it will hurt even more. I can’t get excited or even see myself as ‘pregnant’ until I know if it’s sticking. It’s complete torture mentally 😰

Sorry! Thank god I have you girls ❤️

BecsterG · 03/02/2020 10:49

I totally understand how you feel! Every time we talk about the summer we're starting by saying 'if still pregnant' Ekk so horrible but I am trying to remain positive as here's no reason this one won't stick.

If they do make you wait you could always pay for a private scan if it helps you? I've seen some deals for £40. Waiting is torture.

I'm desperate for a scan but just think if I had one this week I'd still be anxious although I still will be after next weeks if it's good news.

Try and take it easy if you can. X

Well that sounds positive @Cruiser1, that you saw what you should see at this stage, I hope the wait for the next scan isn't too long.

I know exactly what you mean about getting too attached. With the last pregnancy I think I knew something wasn’t right as I just couldn’t think beyond the 12 week scan, I wouldn’t allow myself to picture the baby. I don’t feel like that this time but I don’t know if I’m just trying to be positive or if my intuition is genuinely different 😕
Hope you’re both having a good day x

Cruiser1 · 03/02/2020 14:13

@raspberrypickle I do believe in a mother’s intuition. But Iv just been through so much now with 2 MCs within 4 months that i have to protect myself by not getting too attached.
I really don’t know what way this one will go 😰

I really hope we all have healthy pregnancies and a healthy baby at the end!

BecsterG · 03/02/2020 19:20

Well ladies my early scan is booked for a week on Thursdays! Ekk fingers crossed I make it to then.

Hope you ladies have had an OK day x

@BecsterG that’s brilliant. It’s great to have a date to aim for! Is that with the EPU?

BecsterG · 03/02/2020 21:08

@Cruiser1 yes it is. They said they do reassurance scans at 8 weeks but my husbands away so they've brought it forward. Not too long to wait but long enough.

How are you feeling this evening?

OP posts:
Cruiser1 · 03/02/2020 21:23

Aw listen.... any length of time is too long when you’re worried! Hopefully it flys by. So Thursday week ye? Il be counting down with you!

I’m ok, trying to calm my mind but I’m still going crazy.... I wish I could go to sleep and wake up when I’m 20 weeks 😥

BecsterG · 04/02/2020 06:07

@Cruiser1 ha ha I said that to my husband the other week. Would be great if we could wake up in the pretty safe zone.

I'm generally feeling ok about it. I've taken a step back from POAS which I was doing every day and just rolling with it. I've not had any bad cramps of bleeding so my anxiety level at the moment is ok. If I start to get anything like that it will go up and I will go for an earlier scan.

Lack of sleep through worry is so hard. My DS is waking me up in the night right now and with being tired because I'm pregnant too, it's killing me.

@raspberrypickle how are you doing?

OP posts:
Cruiser1 · 04/02/2020 09:10

Ohh goodness... how old is your DS? I’m doing ok with sleep at the moment but still tired all the time. Feeling quite nauseous this morning hoping it’s a good sign.
I’m thinking of doing some acupuncture to try to calm my mind, I just don’t know how I’m gonna cope with this worry for another 2/3 months as Il be on the progesterone for another 10 weeks or so 😥

BecsterG · 04/02/2020 10:23

My DS is 2. He'll be 3 in April. He's always been a great sleeper but started a new nursery in jan and since then he's been waking most nights. Some times not until 5 and will then go back to sleep for 3 hours but last night he woke just before 12 and at 5:30 and at 6:10 he shouted to tell me it was time to get up. On top of that I'm up to pee all the time and it's been so windy I've been waking a lot. Zzz I'm hoping it's a phase but man it feels like a long one!!

Hopefully once you have the next scan and they confirm things your anxiety will ease a bit and you'll be able to put it out your mind more. Not completely but you'll function better. Fingers crossed you can anyway.

I'm starting to feel queasy when I've not eaten for awhile so when I'm awake at 5 ya not good Envy.

Hi I'm ok thanks 🙂
That’s good that you’ve got your scan date @BecsterG . I haven't been contacted yet about my reassurance scan so going to try and chase that today. My daughter is nearly 3 and has also recently started waking in the night 😱 even if my husband sees to her I still have to get up to go to the toilet so I’m pretty tired today 🥱

BecsterG · 04/02/2020 13:41

What are these toddler like! I thought t was because of the new nursery but he's all settled and still waking. I'm with you on the peeing!! It's constant.

I agree, I'd chase them if you don't hear anything. I'm in Scotland so it's a bit different up here I think.
