Currently 11+3 weeks. Had a scan just over a week ago and I had a very happy baby in there.
This morning I wiped after a wee and had red blood. Immediately panicked. Then went to loo again and passed a brown clot with brown blood.

Been the a&e and they were useless!!

Iv not soaking through pads or in discomfort at the moment. Iv had two miscarriages in 2019 & I literally cannot believe this could be happening again. 😭

Has anyone ever experienced this and had a healthy baby?

Did your A&E department book you in with your EPAC unit to do a scan? If not call your maternity ward/midwife and see if they can get you an appointment asap to put your mind at ease.

Yes. I had this with my second pregnancy and she’s just about to turn 19. In my case the cause turned out to be a low lying placenta. Hope you can be seen by EPAU soon and have a good outcome.

I had this with my first and second pregnancies. One is in late teens the other an adult now.

I was very scared, but both babies were ok.

BabloHoney · 12/01/2020 17:24

So sorry, the anxiety and waiting is the worst. I had 2 miscarriages in 2013, then a big bleed at the start of my third pregnancy (bright red blood) I assumed the worse and had to wait almost a week for an EPU scan despite having had two miscarriages. Baby was fine though and a healthy 5 year old now. Look after yourself and everything crossed that all is ok on Tuesday x

whatdoyouthinkyouknow · 12/01/2020 17:24

Having had many miscarriages.

I think that if you saw a healthy baby only a week ago, even if the very worst has happened and the baby hasn't made it, you'd have too much pregnancy hormone still circulating to be bleeding from miscarriage.

It's much more likely to be from other reasons.

Sorry you have to wait until Tuesday. Try not to stress, try to keep calm. I know this is easier said than done.

FourDecades · 12/01/2020 17:27

So sorry OP. Really hope it is good news Tuesday Flowers

LittenKitten · 12/01/2020 17:27

Are you in any pain OP? I had bleeding with my first pregnancy on and off and he was fine (he’s 9 now!). But then bleeding in my second did end in a miscarriage. Fingers crossed for you! Flowers

I had this with my third, from about 12-19 weeks. I was absolutely devastated at first and assumed the worst. I went to A&E but they couldn't help. The Dr was so nice and said he just couldn't say one way or another, it's literally 50:50, and I had to wait for a scan the next day or so. The scan, surprisingly showed everything was ok, there was an area of bleed away from the baby. Baby is fine now at 2yo. Wishing you all the best op.

MrsEricBana · 12/01/2020 17:30

I had a very scary bleed at 9+ weeks. It was something called a haematoma and all was fine. I think definitely don't assume the worst and I really hope scan goes well on Tuesday FlowersCake

Josiejo12 · 12/01/2020 18:07

I just wanted to let you all no that I phoned my epu this morning and managed to get a scan for 9 & baby is bouncing, kicking and happy.
So so so relieved. Thank you everyone 🤞🏻

They didn't find any cause for bleed.
