Boy or Girl?

Happy New year everyone. Had my 12 week scan yesterday and I would like some help figuring if it's it a boy or a girl. It's my first baby so I don't really know about nub theory or anything like that. Any guesses please?

@Borderpup thank you I'm sure I'm having a little girl too

BraveSpiritKindHeart · 04/01/2020 17:14

Goldenmother- There is identifying information in your picture. You're name, hospital number and the hospital. You need to get that removed.

DandyLyon · 04/01/2020 17:18

I'd confidently guess girl here - let us know!

Goldenmother · 04/01/2020 18:13

@BraveSpiritKindHeart thank you it been deleted

MoonlightMistletoe · 04/01/2020 18:17

I think a little girl, congratulations!

roisinagusniamh · 04/01/2020 19:44

Looks like a healthy baby.
Why does it matter whether it's a boy or girl?

Goldenmother · 04/01/2020 19:55

@roisinagusniamh the OP has not said anything about the baby not being healthy the exciting part is trying to guess the sex of the baby and I'm sure mum to be and like myself will not care the sex of the baby as long as baby is healthy but it exciting so let people enjoy the fun of guessing

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 04/01/2020 19:59

@roisinagusniamh come on now, whats the harm in knowing. Im 7 months pregnant and couldnt have cared less if it was a boy or a girl, but at the same time I REALLY wanted to know.

Let people have their fun

Borderpup · 04/01/2020 20:14

@roisinagusniamh if you have nothing constructive to say why bother commenting? There's a million and one threads on this forum, if this one doesn't suit I suggest go elsewhere. Go raibh maith agat. Slan

It doesn't matter what gender the baby is, does it?
So why ask a bunch of strangers what they think?
I think it actually matters a lot to some people.
What difference dies it make whether it’s a girl or boy?
The baby needs to be cared for regardless.
Why are you writing in Irish Borderpup 🤔

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 04/01/2020 21:30

@roisinagusniamh OBVIOUSLY that baby needs to cared for regardless of sex, what a ridiculous comment. Also, a 'bunch of strangers' might be really good at nub theory (if you believe in that), otherwise its just a bit of fun.

If you don't believe people should find out the sex of the baby before birth then just don't comment on these threads. Its simple.

roisinagusniamh · 04/01/2020 21:40

How silly!
Just ask at the scan if you’re that desperate to find out the gender.
But also, ask yourself why you want to know.
Is it to choose a name or decorate the nursery in pink/blue?

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 04/01/2020 21:45

Because its a 12 week scan, and you cant find out until the 20 week scan.

And so what if people want to know because they want to choose a name or decorate a nursery? How people raise their babies and what gender they choose to align their child too/dont choose to align their child too is nothing to do with you.

roisinagusniamh · 04/01/2020 21:50

It's not up to the parents to chose which gender to align their child to.

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 04/01/2020 21:53

ok, its fine to believe that, but STOP trying to force this on others.

Some people want to find out the sex of their baby, some people dont. For whatever reason. If you dont think people should find out, then JUST DONT COMMENT ON THREADS LIKE THIS.

roisinagusniamh · 04/01/2020 21:57

Please stay calm. Nobody is shouting.
I'm not saying people should not find out , just be aware of why it's important to you to know.
I will comment on whichever thread takes my fancy.

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 04/01/2020 22:02

I well aware nobody is shouting, im certainly not. Im using capitals to try and get my point across to you because I dont feel like you understand why people would want to find out the sex (even after several people on this thread have explained before I did).

People have a million reasons for wanting to find out. Its nothing to do with you.

roisinagusniamh · 04/01/2020 22:10

Do explain please...why do people want to find out the sex of their baby?
I'm listening.

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 04/01/2020 22:17

a) because people want to choose a name
b) because people want to buy stuff/decorate a nursery (regardless of if you agree with gender alignment or not)
c) because people just really want to find out with no deeper thought
d) because people have a large family of 5 boys and would really like a girl (for example)
e) because a certain disease tends to run down a female/male line and want to know for this reason

Id suggest you start a thread on this if you're genuinely interested as a lot of people will have a lot of reasons.

roisinagusniamh · 04/01/2020 22:22

People have many reasons and whether I agree with them or not,the only valid one is concerning a gender related illness.
Other than that a baby should be wanted got its own sake not to fulfill an adult's desire for a boy or girl.
