Miscarriage after heartbeat?

Has anyone experienced a miscarriage after seeing the heartbeat.

Booked an early scan privately at 7 weeks and saw a strong heartbeat.

Just want honest answers. Don't worry about scaring me.

@girlanonymous How did things go for you?

Happened to me as well. Heartbeat at 7+3 (but measuring 5+6) and then started miscarrying at 10+0.

Two of my friends have also had healthy heartbeats at early scans to then find out they were having mmc at the 12 week scan.

Seems to me it's far more common than any statistic will tell you, most places say the risk drops significantly after HB but that's not my experience at all. Seems the 8-9 week mark is the sticking point, even with HB.

Yes, saw HB at what should’ve been 6+4 but baby was measuring a little small. Miscarried at 8 weeks.

As a result I didn’t bother with an early private scan for this pregnancy, and I’m now 38 weeks ☺️

This too happened me, healthy heartbeat at 9 weeks and started to miscarry that same day.

Old thread but yes. Strong heartbeat and perfect for dates at 8w. MMC at 12 weeks with baby measuring 9w.

Pg again but probably won’t bother with any more early scans - what’s the point? Might just spend the money on cake & hope for the best.

Unfortunately, yes. We saw a heartbeat at 7 weeks and suspected nothing. At my dating scan, the baby only measured 9 weeks and had no heartbeat.

I hope you have a positive outcome.

OP did you go on to have your baby? All the very best either way
