Hi ladies,

Just what the title says really. Have you noticed any changes in your body in terms of preparations for babies arrival? Any signs? Any plans on induction/inducing natural or c section?

Also 37 weeks here and the anxiety regarding labour has truly settled in. This is baby #3 😶

TraceyLee84 · 31/12/2019 00:01

39 weeks today - getting sweep on the 2rd and I'd nothing then geting waters broke on the 7th - it's my sons 3rd birthday on the 6th - hand full 🙈

SexlessBoulderBelly · 31/12/2019 03:30

37+4 today and having my c section... today! Nerves have well and truly set in, right next to a boat load of excitement. It’s so surreal to have this many emotions going on I can’t decide if I’m actually scared or not (I am)

fluffyjumper · 31/12/2019 03:52

39 weeks and a bit fed up. I'm so tired but cant sleep.

jmacat86 · 31/12/2019 06:48

39 weeks here...due tomorrow but sweep on 3rd. Have no doubt this boy will be late, but I really hope he decides to appear in his own time rather than me being induced. For some reason the idea of induction scares me.

Biggest changes for me are feeling that bump has dropped (hopefully head engaged) and I’ve finally accepted I can’t do as much now so enjoying putting my feet up and having constant competition with the cat for my nursing chair.

38 weeks here and so fed up waiting now. Had some very painful braxtons through most nights for the last week or so and very painful stitch pain either side of belly button, almost constant mild period pains. C section planned next week if I make it although hoping it will happen sooner! Goodluck everyone Smile

crazymuseummumtobe · 31/12/2019 09:03

36.5 and fed up of the 'bruised' pain under my right boob from constant pressure of baby's feet. My maternity entitlement us affected by a new policy coming into force at work tomorrow, so any time after midnight tonight is fine by me now! 😆

CloudyVanilla · 31/12/2019 09:06

I'm 37 weeks today! Have definitely been noticed changes in my body this time. Starting to get some very first trimester type symptoms again - feeling nauseous at certain times of day and although boobs have been sore and sensitive for a long time now, I'm also getting that tingly, pricking feeling in my nipples again. Hope it is a sign that my body is slowly getting ready for labour Smile

CloudyVanilla · 31/12/2019 09:08

Oh also I have been in for reduced movements 3 times in the third tri so they have made me a consultant appointment next week to discuss induction, so that might be happening too. Feeling a little nervous about the logistics of everything as this is my third!

bessie84 · 31/12/2019 09:11

@SexlessBoulderBelly - good luck

Thoughtlessinengland · 31/12/2019 09:23

36+2. Previous baby naturally born 37+2. Insomnia daily all night long.

fluffyjumper · 31/12/2019 10:06

What are all your plans for tonight. We are having my dsis, bil, dn and my df round for a curry. Really feel I cant breathe today.

stormy11 · 31/12/2019 11:41

I'm 36+6. The baby was breech a couple of weeks ago but has turned now - can definitely feel the difference it's a bit painful on my pelvis all the time now - hopefully it is a sign that the baby won't move again?

Thatsnotmynameisit · 31/12/2019 12:31

39+3 here, due date is 4th, I have a scan booked in for 3rd just to check on baby as we had a scare at around 35 weeks with abnormal dopplers and baby was smaller than should be - the dopplers have been fine since then so no concerns over that anymore but had weekly scans to keep an eye on her growth, shes had a growth spurt in the last few weeks.

I am full of anxiety and cried most of the day yesterday, today I still feel a bit teary and I'm struggling to stay awake. Not had any Braxton Hicks, just a few aches here and there but nothing out of the ordinary.

Is it 'normal' to feel fed up/emotional and snappy? I feel a bit crazy at the moment!

Kitten22 · 31/12/2019 14:52

@SexlessBoulderBelly hope it goes well. Let us know how you get on and when baby is born. How exciting.

@CloudyVanilla I've noticed my sickness coming back too. Nausea and certain nasty smells.

Has anyone had any runs yet. Sorry tmi! I've been getting IBS symptoms and loose movements for a few days now.

Is anyone taking raspberry leaf tea/tablets? Or anything else to help with the process of labour/recovery? I've heard dates are good to soften cervix so started that a week ago.

37+6 for another few hours, I was induced on Sunday due to reduced movements, gestational diabetes and SPD. 4 pessaries and cervical exams later... No change. I started getting contractions yesterday afternoon but my cervix is not playing ball! We've now agreed to a sort of elective C-section on Thursday morning but I'm taking steroid injections to give baby some help developing the lungs and because they interfere with the insulin I've got to stay on the antenatal ward... I've had the SPD since 28 weeks and didn't actually realise I was having contractions (!) because the pain was quite similar to begin with, definitely know what they are now!

Lizzieee2727 · 31/12/2019 23:01

@SexlessBoulderBelly p.s what an absolutely scrummy girl you've got, congratulations!

Murph90 · 31/12/2019 23:39

I am 36 weeks today. I am being induced on the 21st due to baby measuring large. Has always been breach but on the growth scan today and has now gone head down - I can tell, as feel less full up top and heavy in the pelvis!

I am nervous for the induction and also to deliver a large baby, even though I realise growth scans are not the most accurate. The Doctor I saw today after frightened me when discussing my delivery options and I half wish I’d asked for a c section as I’ve not stopped thinking about the shoulders getting stuck since!

Alderaan · 01/01/2020 01:57

38+3 (Tuesday) and desperate for something to happen. I've been crying for days with horrendous pain in the pubic bone but baby is showing no signs of putting in an appearance.
1qqwappointment next Tuesday when they will discuss induction due to an issue with baby's bowel.
No??
I had a growth scan on christmas eve and at 37 weeks he was already estimated to weigh 7lb13oz - i feel fit to burst

LucaFritz · 01/01/2020 02:15
