Just after other peoples experiences really. I've had 2 boys one 7lb 7 one 8lb exactly now I'm 28 weeks pregnant with a girl and I dont feel as heavy or big as I did with the boys. Did your girl weigh less than your boys?

My girl was 7lbs and my boy was 7.2lbs ... we are not big people my husband is 5'10" and I am 5'5"

GrumpyHoonMain · 30/11/2019 16:08

My sister had only the slightest bump at 28 weeks with her second (boy after a girl) and he was bigger. My bf was practically flat until 30 weeks for all three pregnancies with her daughters and all of them were over 8 pounds (the youngest was the heaviest at nearly 9). So you can’t really go by bump size or how you feel.

miffmufferedmoof · 30/11/2019 16:10

My boy was 4oz heavier than my girl but was also born 3 days later, so they were very similar and also only a couple of oz different at 6 months

JolieOBrien · 30/11/2019 16:11

Girls can be smaller but my Aunt was 10lb so who knows.

nevertellmetheodds · 30/11/2019 16:11

My first I was huge with. She weighed 2lbs. I also had no water. My second was 3lbs. My 3rd was 3.5lbs.

troppibambini · 30/11/2019 16:12

Two girls
7lb6
7lb 13
Followed by two boys
10lb8
8lb10

notnowmaybelater · 30/11/2019 16:13

My girl weighed 300g (10oz) more than my boys, but she was born at 42 weeks gestation and my boys were both born at 38 weeks (singletons not twins but identical birth weights to the gram!).

Statistically male babies weigh very slightly more than females on average at birth, but statistically first babies are lighter than subsequent babies. Averages obviously don't mean individuals will follow the pattern. Obviously gestation makes the biggest difference.

notnowmaybelater · 30/11/2019 16:16

Weights were

9lb 2 (girl, 42 weeks)
8lb 6 (same for both boys, both born at 38 weeks).

If the half pound weight gain for weeks 38 and 39 usually stated is usual then the boys would obviously have been 9 lb 6 at term though.

poshredrose · 30/11/2019 16:19

Dd 8lb 11
Ds 8lb 11 and 7lb 11
All born 42+ weeks

JurassicShay · 30/11/2019 18:11

Dd 6lb 9oz - 10 days late
DS1 5lb 13oz - 3 weeks early
DS2 6lb 11oz - 1 day late

I'm 14weeks pregnant now and have been thinking about how much heavier this baby will be and if me being over weight will have an impact? I was a size 8-10 with the others but am now a 14-16. I can't really find any anecdotal info from anybody who's been in this position before.

ListenLinda · 30/11/2019 18:13

My girl was 5lb 10oz born at 39+1, my boy was 7lb 8oz born at 39+1.

Dinosauratemydaffodils · 30/11/2019 18:15

Both born at 39+1

Ds six pounds nine ounces
Dd seven pounds fifteen ounces

Diet was virtually the same with both. I was thinner when I got pregnant with dd than I was with ds. Oddily enough my bump was smaller with dd than with ds, due to position perhaps.

Laniakea · 30/11/2019 18:16

I’ve got two of each, all born at a similar gestation. My girls were the heaviest (3.5kg) and lightest (3kg) & the boys in the middle (3.3kg & 3.2kg).

MirandaWest · 30/11/2019 18:17

My son was 6lb 1oz and my daughter was 7lb 11oz

Lllot5 · 30/11/2019 18:19

Ds 8.2
Dd 7.2
Ds 9.2
Ds 9.6
So yes dd was smaller.

Ginfizplease · 30/11/2019 18:19

Nope. She weighed more and was earlier. She's now taller than he is and weighs more despite being younger by 2 years.

DeadDoorpost · 30/11/2019 18:20

DS was 7lbs 13oz, DD was 9lbs 1oz. Both pregnancies were Hyperemesis ones, both times I didn't have a massive bump, both babies looked about the same size.

parrotonmyshoulder · 30/11/2019 18:20

Both 9.11 One of each.

TheGirlFromStoryville · 30/11/2019 18:21

Dd born 10lb9
Ds born 9lb10
Both at 42 weeks, both emergency CS.

georgiams · 30/11/2019 18:33

Girl 40 + 3 8lb 3oz
Boy 37 + 5 8lb 3oz

Snaleandthewhail · 30/11/2019 18:34

My girl was smack bang in the middle, weight wise, of her two brothers, and in a way which rallied up with gestation too.

EvilEdna1 · 30/11/2019 18:35

Boy 8lbs 1oz, girl 8lbs 1 oz, boy 8lbs 2oz.

Consistent.

wonderstuff · 30/11/2019 18:37

Dd 7lb 10 @ 39+2
Ds 8lb 1 @ 40+5

LooksBetterWithAFilter · 30/11/2019 18:50

Girl (1st) 6lb 11 38 weeks. Once she was out she grew and grew she was always the tallest in her year until secondary and the boys all hit puberty and grew.

icanhearapindrop · 30/11/2019 19:00

My boy was lighter than my girl, and she was born at 39 + 4 whereas he was 37 +8.
