@Larrydavid I could notice mine about 9 weeks, but other people are starting to see it now! I can't stop staring at it 😂

When is your 12 week scan @Mimi91? That does sound a mad day, pregnancy does weird things to you! I was so tempted to tell people at my Christmas lunch, but luckily people just accepted that I wasn't drinking without asking any questions 🙈 you might feel better now that everyone knows though!

@MrsS147 scan is on Monday! I do feel better now I've told ppl, it's such a weight off no having to lie all the time. I've definitely calmed down today 😂

It's cute your bump is now showing, I can't see a definite bump yet but my stomach has definitely started to harden - so exciting!!

Good luck with your scan today @Mimi91! It's so stressful having to make up lies for things when people don't know. So glad I've told people now 😂

It is so exciting! I can't stop staring at mine, although I'm surprised I can see it so early as I thought I'd have to wait ages with it being my first! I've started having to swap clothes already as not a lot of stuff fits me now! My stomach hardening was the first thing I noticed!

@MrsS147 I've started wearing mat tops too, don't need them yet, they are just super comfy 😂

I had my scan this morning, nice strong heartbeat. Was in there absolutely ages though, baby was in an awkward position and kept jumping around. The sonographer was in training too, so had 3 sonographers in the room. Felt really sorry for her, had to keep turning on my stomach and coughing to try and get the baby in the right position.

Had some bloods repeated too as my first lot clotted. DH bless him had to sit down, he's a bit blood sensitive - god help me when I'm in labour!!!

May have made a sneaky trip to Jojo Maman Bebe afterwards 🤭

How's everyone doing? Anyone else still horrendously nauseous?

Hello guys I’m feeling a bit better today.
I may of been into JoJo Maman Bebe today as well, I got a gorgeous little onesie and hat with foxes on. Just something new for baby even if I have another little girl.
My sickness is now easing now I’m 15 weeks, been pretty down being sick and not been eating too well. Hopefully I will keep feeling better now that the horrible 1st trimester has passed.

@Mimi91 maternity stuff is so comfy! I got a couple of pairs of mater ity jeans from h&m and tempted to keep wearing them even when I'm back to my normal size 😂

Aww what a lovely scan photo! 💞 It's so nice seeing them, I can't wait until my 20 week scan so I can see them again!

I've bought so many baby things already too 🤭 told myself to stop cause I want to find out gender before getting anything else! We're going to start doing the nursery soon, so excited!

My nausea is pretty much gone. Only get it when brushing my teeth now. And when my puppy was sick at the weekend and I nearly threw up trying to clean it 😂

@Crazybunnylady123 it's so exciting buying little outfits! Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better now. The first trimester definitely sucked, so nice to be past it all!

@Mimi91 so happy your scan went well! Also, I have no idea why we haven't all been wearing elasticated jeans forever - so much comfier!

@Crazybunnylady123 my morning sickness has finally gone over the last week - such a relief! I was 16 weeks when it finally disappeared! You guys are all so close to that now!

@MrsS147 my belly has really popped in the last couple of days! It feels so obvious all of a sudden!

I felt the baby move today for the first time! It was really weird and lovely. I think I got lucky as I have an anterior placenta so was not expecting to feel anything for a while! We also bought our nursery furniture yesterday - so exciting!
I have a scan on Friday to check if I'm high risk of premature delivery. Fingers crossed everything is ok.

@Larrydavid that so exciting that you felt baby move! I can't wait till I can feel it move! We're starting to think about doing the nursery up too. Although it's meant rearranging other rooms as it's our spare room so need to figure out where to put stuff that was in there 😂
How did things go with your scan?

I got my letter through for my anomoly scan - 12 February! So glad I have a date now as we're not booking a private gender scan and I want to know 😂
Also just been to Aldi, they have so many good deals in their baby event! Got 2 sleeping bags, 3 muslins, 2 blankets, a bath towel and a changing mat for £35!

Crazybunnylady123 · 11/01/2020 10:55

Omg! I need to get to Aldi, I need new muslins, baby towels and a changing mat.
I’m 16 weeks tomorrow and my sickness appears to have eased so much.
I had a nightmare yesterday and I thought to myself ahh! definitely into the second trimester now!
My daughter is moving into the second double bedroom once the contents of that has moved elsewhere. We need to buy her a proper little bed and the baby will eventually have her cot bed in the box room.
She needs more room bless her our living room is full of her stuff. I don’t know how such a little person has so much stuff. I just hope she doesn’t feel pushed out.

My husband has bought me some maternity jeans and loungewear for my birthday 🎈 and OMG the comfort!!

@Larrydavid fingers crossed for your scan, it's so amazing you felt baby move!

@MrsS147 need to head down to Aldi, had a flyer through the door, the deals look really good.

@Crazybunnylady123 yay to 2nd trimester, goodbye morning sickness! I'm sure she doesn't feel left out, she's probably really excited.

Hey hey! Hope you're all having a good Saturday! I went for my cervix scan yesterday and all is ok for now - so relieved! Got to hear the heartbeat again too which was lovely. She wants me to go for another additional scan in four weeks (after my 20 week one) to keep an eye on things as I've got endo and fibroids but has given me the all clear for flying at the mo! We got excited yesterday, so booked a trip to New York to visit some friends in feb. And I get to go on our amsterdam trip next weekend! 🎉 (these will probs be my last hols until our honeymoon so I'm making the most of the freedom!)

@Mimi91 maternity jeans and loungewear are my wardrobe staples now! Perfect gift! Happy birthday!

@MrsS147 I haven't felt any definite movement since but a couple of flutters which may have been the baby. It's difficult to tell when they're fleeting. Looking forward to regular movement! Aldi deals sound amazing!

@Crazybunnylady123 How old is your daughter? I'm sure she's going to be really excited to have a sibling! And she gets a bigger room. Win win.

Hope you all have good weekends planned!

@Larrydavid glad to hear your scan went well! Your planned holidays sound fab too!

@Mimi91 I'm in love with my maternity jeans, they're so comfy! I ended up buying more when I did my weekly shop there and got served by the same guy 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ he recognised me as well as he was telling me about his pregnant daughter the first time and she was around 3 months pregnant too 😂

@Crazybunnylady123 glad to hear your sickness is away! I'm sure your daughter will be really excited!

I'm at the doctor this morning as I've been getting bad back pain already, and it's going down the back of my leg too which is making walking quite painful when it's bad 🙈 I don't feel pregnant enough to have these issues already 😂 hopefully it's nothing too serious.

Report
Larrydavid · 13/01/2020 22:02

@MrsS147 sounds like the beginning of sciatica - or at least that nerve. I've had that pain a couple of times and then it's gone. You can find some good stretching exercises online that might help.
Maternity jeans are the best.

MrsS147 · 15/01/2020 08:07

@Larrydavid the doctor basically brushed me off and just said it was pregnancy pain and I was to just deal with it 🙈 she compared it to ligament pain that I get in my stomach. It doesn't feel the same as that at all, and I'm struggling to do even short 5 minute walks. I got really upset about it, but I'm seeing the midwife next week so going to speak to her and see if she's more helpful.

Crazybunnylady123 · 15/01/2020 08:41

@MrsS147 I suggest you get yourself a step and gently use it. Also look up yoga poses that will help that area. It might well be ligament pain it’s so unpleasant, the only thing that helped me last time was gently exercise. Hope u feel better soon.

Hi all. Had my 16 week midwife appointment today and we heard baby’s heartbeat. Amazing and so reassuring that all is well.
Baby is now moving about, it feels like bubbles in your tummy. I am feeling it much earlier. With my dd it was mostly her hiccups when I went to bed! Lol.
Can’t wait till the 20 weeks scan and desperate to know what I’m having!
Hope you guys are all doing alright.

Mimi91 · 15/01/2020 18:30

@MrsS147 poor you! I've have back pain too, but it's more of a pressure and lots of round ligament pain. Stairs are the enemy at the moment, my legs feel like weights and I get so breathless. Hopefully your midwife is a little less dismissive!

@Crazybunnylady123 how lovely. Can't wait to hear the heartbeat for the first time. Not long now til your next scan - how exciting!

@Larrydavid glad your scan went well and oh my gosh, what exciting travel plans you have! Jealous!!

How is everyone doing? The pain I've had has eased a bit but can still be really bad on a bad day. My midwife has given me the number to refer to physio though which is more helpful than the doctor was! Had my appointment yesterday and got to hear the heartbeat 🥰 and I've started to feel them move now too which is such a nice feeling! And found out I have a negative blood type which means extra injections 🙈

Just under 3 weeks until my 20 week scan now, want it to hurry as I really want to know if its a boy or girl!

@MrsS147 aww lovely, can't wait to hear the heartbeat. I have a negative blood type too, some people have said the injections are painful and others have said its just like any other injection. Can't be any worse than giving birth 😂 that's how I'm looking at it anyway!

Do you have an inkling as to whether it's a boy or girl? I have a feeling I'm having a boy, but I'm not finding out (much to the annoyance of others)

@MrsS147 I have 3 weeks till my 20 week scan and I’m so desperate to know.
I thought I was having a girl when I was pregnant with my daughter but was not 100% but this time
I feel I’m having a boy. But who knows!
Bad headache today but generally feeling alright, starting to get excited to being almost halfway through already.

I have a negative blood type too - snap!

I have my 20 week scan on Monday morning. We're not finding out - I think it's a boy and my partner thinks it's a girl. We did a bet 😂

Can't believe I'm halfway through. A bit nervous about the scan - always get nervous before them. Also feeling huge at the moment, anyone else?

Report
MrsS147 · 24/01/2020 07:59

@Mimi91 it was so amazing to hear it! I felt lucky as I don't think they usually check at 16 weeks in my area, but my midwife didn't care and says she let's us hear if we want but warns that we might not be able to hear it!
I heard that the needles were huge, but I asked my midwife and she said it's just like any other injection 😂 we'll soon find out I guess!

I have a feeling its a boy. I'm way too impatient to wait, but so hard not to book a private early one 😂

@Crazybunnylady123 I'm so desperate to find out too, I'm so impatient! I can't believe I'll be halfway in a few weeks! Feel like it's gone so quickly which is nice but scary as well 😂

@Larrydavid that's so exciting that your scan is on Monday! My husband was adament we were having a boy at first, but the other day he changed his mind and thinks it's a girl now 😂
I feel huge already too. I didn't expect to be as big as I am this early! People keep commenting on my bump though which I like 😂

Hey everyone, hope you're all having a good weekend.

I had my 16 week appt today (although I'm closer to 17 weeks). Got a recording of the HB which is amazing 😍

Also starting on the nursery today, need to change the sockets, remove a wall socket, paint and put new carpet down. Set DH to work.

How's everyone doing?

@Mimi91
Hey, I’m 20 weeks tomorrow and have my scan on Friday.
It’s so much fun doing the nursery, We are going to be much less prepared because we have to decorate a room downstairs for my pets to move into so my dd can move out the nursery and into the second bedroom. We need to get her a new bed and stuff too. So it might be a bit of a rush!
The heartbeat is amazing isn’t it, I am desperate to find out what I’m having.

@Mimi91 it's so amazing hearing the heartbeat, isn't it? 😍
I've just been out to get the paint for the nursery, aiming to start next weekend as I'm off work the week after! Our carpet has been ordered and is ready for when we're done with the painting 🥰

@Crazybunnylady123 I'm 20 weeks on Thursday and have my scan on Wednesday, still feels forever away! Can't believe I'm almost half way 😍 I'm desperate to find out what I'm having too! It's been so hard not to book a private scan, but trying to save money!
