@Crazybunnylady123 yeah, it will be great to reach the 1st "proper" milestone. Just got home from work and all I want is crisps, just all the crisps 🤤.do you have any feelings as to whether it's a boy or a girl?

@MrsS147 oh poor you! I get really tired too, but luckily only in the evenings. Do ppl in your office know your pregnant yet?

Although I'm snacking (my bad) I'm really struggling to finish meals, so wouldn't be surprised if I hadn't put on weight yet either. Now I've said that, the midwife will probably tell me I've put on a stone and need to put the crisps down 😂

Are we all eating savoury food ladies?
I reckon I have a little boy in there to be honest. How about all of you?
I can’t even look at cake.

@Mimi91 some days I'm fine until the evening, but some days are such a struggle. DH has pointed out that Thursdays seem to be my worst day 😂 my boss knows, but I think some people might guess when I'm not drinking at our Christmas lunch on Thursday! What about you?

My midwife was actually really nice about my bad diet! Just as long as I clean it up 2nd trimester 😂

@Crazybunnylady123 I'd gone off cake and chocolate too, but found myself being able to eat them this week! I've been all about savoury food, which feels weird when I usually have such a sweet tooth!

I'm thinking I'm having a boy too!

Mimi91 · 14/12/2019 12:16

@Crazybunnylady123 all about the savoury! I reckon I'm having a boy, but that is purely based on the fact that baby is always a boy in my dreams.

@MrsS147 only my 1 colleague knows (she guessed at 5 weeks!!!!) and I told HR because I have a rare blood type and if I had a fall at work, internal bleeding could kill baby very quickly. One of my colleagues is actually my sister and she doesn't have a clue!!

Just had my booking appt - poor midwife had just come from a home birth and had been on shift for 12 hours, but she was so lovely.

Having a very sicky weekend - hope you're all doing well x

@Mimi91 glad your booking appointment went well, I’m currently having a sickly weekend as well.

@MrsS147 How are you feeling this weekend?

Oh, another freebie for you! Join cow and gate baby club and you get a cuddly cow for your baby! Grin

@Mimi91 glad to hear you're booking appointment went well!
That sounds scary about the blood type thing! I actually don't even know what mine is, but the midwife said she'd check when she took my bloods so I guess I'll find out soon!
Hope the sickness isn't too bad!

@Crazybunnylady123 I've actually felt a lot better this weekend than I did during the week! Just a little nausea after I eat, but nothing too bad. Hoping it will continue 😂
Oh I like freebies! I'll sign up to that. Is there any other good baby clubs to sign up for? I've still not been to pick up the Bounty packs🤦🏻‍♀️

Crazybunnylady123 · 15/12/2019 14:00

There’s the bounty ones and Emma’s Diary. I think you get better things if you collect your Emma’s Diary from Boots and the Bounty ones from Asda.
There’s an app for the Emma’s diary ones.

The cow and gate club is for the little cow.

If you have amazon Alexa you can use send a sample for Lidl nappies.
If this is your first baby start an amazon wish list, once you spent so much from your list there’s a good freebie. I think you have to spend £20.

There is also a baby box thing, it wasn’t available when I had dd. So I need to look into that one first!

Enjoy!

@Crazybunnylady123 thanks, will need to look into all those! 😊 I know in Scotland we get a baby box and I think it's arranged through your midwife.

@MrsS147 oh you lucky thing. I think you get Muslin clothes, clothes and stuff in Scotland.
The English one appears to be unavailable at the moment and I think you have to pay postage for it and it doesn’t have as much in it!

Hey! Oh man my last week has been a bit rough - morning sickness came back and really wiped me out. I'm hoping it's easing up again now. I feel like I've eaten nothing but cheese and bread for three months - really looking forward to feeling better so
I can start eating well again!

How are you all doing?

@Mimi91 glad your booking appointment went well! Is it all starting to feel real now? I remember feeling quite pregnant after that appointment! Mostly because the midwife asked me things about birthing plans and breastfeeding.

@MrsS147 I think a bad diet in the first trimester is really common (I've googled it a lot!) I'm hoping to
Sort mine out over the next few weeks!

@Crazybunnylady123 I love how you know about all the free stuff! How are you feeling?

@Larrydavid I’m just feeling really wiped out to be honest. I feel sick most of the time and struggling to eat. I’ve hit 12 weeks now and my scan is tomorrow (nervous) and they are taking my bloods as well which I dislike. Just hoping I will be able to enjoy my Christmas dinner but it’s not that long now.
Hope you are feeling better now - yes cheese is a safe food for me too.
I like freebies 😁

@Crazybunnylady123 I'm 14 weeks and the morning sickness is easing off now. So hopefully it will for you too - any day now! Feeling sick all the time is the worst!

Crazybunnylady123 · 17/12/2019 17:53

@Larrydavid I feel a lot happier after the scan, baby was being awkward and wouldn’t roll over but I still got a good view. Just have flu jab to go this week and then roll on Christmas!
I still have a bit of wrapping to do, I’m so slow this year. I can’t get going.
Glad your feeling better at the moment.

@Crazybunnylady123 I've actually just been sick. Whenever I say I'm better, it always comes back! I haven't even bought presents yet let alone wrapped them! That's great news about your scan! You must be relieved.

@Larrydavid yeah definitely starting to feel real now. I think after my scan on sat it'll really start to sink in. Really hope your sickness stops soon!

@Crazybunnylady123 great news about your scan!

Glad to hear your scan went well @Crazybunnylady123 I've felt really disorganised about Christmas too, I'm usually all sorted by now but still got some gifts to get and most of my wrapping. Been too tired to think much about it and I'm so glad I started buying things in september/October otherwise I'd have nothing!

I hope your sickness stops soon @Larrydavid funnily enough cheese is something that makes me feel sick rather than stopping it! I have felt loads better this week than last week. Just tired in the evenings and feel a little sick if I'm hungry or if I've just eaten. I'm hoping that's it tailing off now but we'll see 😂

@Mimi91 good luck for your scan on Saturday! Mine is in 6 days now, just wish it would hurry as I want to be sure everything is okay!

Hi ladies, hope you're all okay. What are your thoughts on taking paracetamol? I've read the smallest dose for the smallest amount of time can be taken, but I've read conflicting things?

DH had a cold which developed into bronchitis and has very kindly passed it on..queue body aches, chills, congestion, barking cough, headache, etc...

I've read the virus shouldn't affect baby, so I'm thinking I just need to suck it up and ride it out 🤧

I took paracetamol a couple of times in my first pregnancy when I was feeling really grim towards the end. Ride it out as much as you can, I know it really sucks. I remember dp bought me home lemsips and I couldn’t have them! (after the flu jab and mines tomorrow) I was advised I could take paracetamol though and it was safe but I was over cautious.
Poor you!

Hi ladies, another question!

Has anyone else experienced a sharp pain across their abdomen if the cough hard or sneeze? I think it's something to do with your ligaments, but it worries me every time!

My ligaments are starting to loosen. My hips are sore and my lower back is already aching like a bitch. I don’t know about your level of fitness but I have got myself a stepper to help me. I have put on too much since first baby but I’m determined I will loose it all after the second (last).

You just have to roll with it really, I’ve been a bit emotional today and had a nap earlier as dp is off today. I just crashed out. I’ve wrapped all the presents today so Christmas is sorted. I just need to get all the pet supplies in and I’m done. How about you?

@Mimi91 I saw a doctor this week and she said paracetamol is fine but to use it only when needed. And I get those sharp pains when I cough or sneeze. I think they're normal. They are horrible though! I also get this weird stabby pain through my womb and was told it's when the baby positions itself on my cervix. Fun

Report
MrsS147 · 20/12/2019 07:42

@Mimi91 I get the sharp pain too, and I get it whenever I move funny as well.

How is everyone doing? I had my Christmas do yesterday, and one person guessed I was pregnant 😂 she has a young baby though and she was pregnant this time last year so not surprised she guessed really. Just wish Tuesday would hurry so I can let everyone know!
