@tiredmoma I'm slightly apprehensive about having two under two I'm not going to lie! 🙈 oh no, morning sickness is the worst, week 7 (last week) seemed to be my worst week for it! It lightened off at the weekend but I was bad again yesterday, I spend most of the week alone with DS so I think the exhaustion of doing everything alone through the week makes me worse as I am better at a weekend when I have help from my husband!

tiredmoma · 16/10/2019 08:51

@Pinkslink17 yes im a little nervous about the first few months while we get settled into a new routine and i also plan to ebf so i know that can sometimes that can be hard in itself but we will get there! Atm we just need to get past this sickness i often look forward to the weekend for dh to take over a little bit as well! Have you got your hospital app yet?

Pinkslink17 · 16/10/2019 09:53

@tiredmoma I'm planning to EBF again too, still bf DS and my nipples are killing 😭 no appointment yet which I'm surprised at, with my first my booking in appointment was during week 8 which would be this week but I've not even had a letter! What about you? Are you finding anything helps with the sickness?

tiredmoma · 16/10/2019 15:08

@Pinkslink17 ive gotten my letter but i think we do things a little differently here the booking and scan are all one big app mine is the 7th Nov i had a very hard time bf my lg and after 4.5 months she didnt want it anymore and for my MH i had to stop pushing it so i think thats why im even more determined with time around to get as much support as i can and to be as prepared as i can sickness wise eh eating little and often i find does help and a good nights sleep however thats hard when lo wakens or you need to pee or cant get comfy lol

Hey Smile
I'm 24 weeks due Feb
Have a 13 month old.
Not finding out sex as partner loves being the one that finds out.
I'm shitting it, so nervous about coping with two so young.
I've been so busy I would probably forget I'm pregnant if it wasnt for the terrible heartburn and kicks Grin

Pinky8383 · 16/10/2019 23:38

Hi, hope I'm ok to join😊
I'm 36
DS is 4
I'm 30+2
Next DS due 22 Dec!

Had a pretty bad birth first time round so starting to panic a bit now it's getting closer and worrying about how DS is going to take to the new arrival! Just keep telling myself people have second kids all the time and it just works out lol🤞🤞
Lovely to see so many 2nd timers on here 😊

duebaby2 · 18/10/2019 05:23

I've joined late but never mind haha
I'm 25
Son aged 3
Currently 31+5 with another baby boy

I'm so ready to have this baby now, it's been a long pregnancy but yet somehow since 6 months it's also flown by. I see my baby boy again for a growth scan on Monday, definitely a lot smaller than my first boy, waiting until 36 weeks to see if I need to go buy smaller clothes for him.

For some reason clothes sizing has changed for newborns in the last three years, with my first newborn was all up to 7lb with the odd few up to 9lb with small baby being 5/6lb sizes. Now newborn has merged with first size to become up to 9lb and anything 7lb or up to 7lb has become small baby sizes. I've got all newborn and first size this time round but I'm wondering if he'll drown in them as I don't think he'll be over 8lbs like his brother was.

MissPepper8 · 18/10/2019 23:33

@duebaby2 Hello! How exciting for you 😊, I feel like the second time round it's all gone very quickly. I'm 18 weeks this week and baby moving earlier just feels like I'm further along (if that makes sense).

My DS was 8.1lb, I bought all Next 0-3 and one newborn suit and my mum had to do a mad dash when he was born as the Next sets I bought were huge. He lost weight due to bf (think he dropped to 7.8) but those suits didn't fit him until he was gone a month. I will say different brands differ in size (Next was way oversized, George was more true to size, M and S was more true to size too).

tiredmoma · 19/10/2019 10:46

@fluffedupferretonsteroids how exciting! I think if we have a 3rd i deffo want it to be a surprise as that will prob be our family complete my dh wants to find out this time as he likes to be organised (even tho its me that does most of the organising!!) i think there are plenty of us in the same boat but i keep telling myself people go on to have more and more babies so it has to all work out! I think being busy is a good way to be makes it fly in that it bit more
@Pinky8383 awww a Christmas baby how lovely and will make Christmas that little bit more exciting if baby is here before hand and i really do hope that this time is alot more straight forward for you have you looked into hypnobirthing?

Does anyone else have a dog that seems more protective this time around? He was last time but this time around its nearly as if he knows whats really happening so hes more protective?

OP posts:
fluffedupferretonsteroids · 24/10/2019 09:41

I wish I had a protective dog that sounds lovely, my MILs dogs have been nightmares. They hate my child and are massively jealous.

Pinky8383 · 29/10/2019 23:13

Aw thank you @tiredmoma fingers crossed! I've not tried hypnobirthing but I have been doing pregnancy yoga and starting aqua natal next week to try and get my body a bit prepped lol! Got my raspberry leaf tea on the go now too which lots of people have recommended so hopefully have an easier time this time🤞

paperplant · 30/10/2019 12:24

Can I join?
I have a DD who's 13 months old now, and am 29 weeks pregnant. Even though I wanted a small gap I'm also very nervous about the year ahead with two under two like @fluffedupferretonsteroids and @Pinkslink17 ! But glad there's nothing much to buy as we still have everything from DD!

@Pinkslink17 is your son still wanting to feed? I feel like I have no milk and DD has been pretty much refusing the breast from summer - she just goes on maybe once a night, but I feel like it might just be comfort.

@LolaLollypop I'm actually in a similar situation, referred to consultant with a kidney cyst and they've diagnosed an ectopic kidney, but not sure if that one is working or not - fluid is fine.
I have had two extra scans (21 + 29 weeks) and have an appt next week with Urology dept to discuss, as well as another scan in 5 weeks and postnatal care is also scheduled, which seems a bit frightening! Everything else looks fine and baby is quite active and kicking. Seems like your hospital is more efficient sending you straight to the Urology dept!

WBWIFE · 30/10/2019 22:24

Hi I'm 24, my DD is nearly 2 and I'm 19 weeks.

Absolutely terrified 😂
