Bleeding early Pregnancy?

Hi there I’m new here.
Looking for some hope and some with similar experience to what I am going through right now.

Some background if needed,
I have been ttc for close to 4 years now,
I had my first pregnancy with the help of IUI this Year in May unfortunately it ended quickly.

I recently did IUI with injectables,
My dr appointment for pregnancy test was scheduled 14dpiui 9/27, on 9/26 i had spotting completely felt like i was out this month, called the dr she said come in either way for bloodwork.. day of blood work shockingly surprised HCG 38.5 (low but higher than my first pregnancy.)

Bleeding never stopped (sorry tmi)
It got heavier, dr wants to retest hcg tomorrow to see if it will wise or come down..
Friday and early Saturday it was heavy, no pain, no clots, today spotting..

I have been instructed to stay in bed from friday to Monday, which gives me lots of room to think.

Do you think in 48hrs 620 to 858 was ok? Im stressed with the hcg and spotting but i havent had any spotting since early this morning 10:30am’ish.. lower back pain on and off all day, was severe at one point but for now its gone away, nausea, snacky after a meal, boobs still sore.. all these symptoms are keeping me in faith that ill get through the wkend 🤦🏼‍♀️

I used to love weekends, now i love mondays.. karma haha

I’m so sorry I have no experience with hcg as I’ve never been tested for it, so these numbers don’t mean anything to me.
With all the symptoms it sounds good to me!
Let’s keep our fingers crossed. My day is a Sunday. I’ll be 5 wks on Sunday. Bit of a trigger day for me, cos I had my last MC at 5 weeks.
Sounds like your healthcare team are pretty on top of things, where are you?

I dont know if this might help u but ill tell u my story of spotting so far. I had this on another post too.
I am 15 weeks tomorrow. I had a MMC (missed miscarriage) in April and got pregnant again very quickly to mine and hubbys shock. Anyway. I started spotting brown at 6w 2d, i went to the dr she sais old blood but she wanted me to have an early scan due to the MMC (missed miscarriage), she said ring them in a week if you havent headd from them. So at 7w 3d i rang them still spotting brown every wipe. I was told to come straight in to the epcu, they scanned me baby was fine heart beating away strong, i was delighted, went home gushed bright red blood from 6pm til 2am thought thats it baby gone or about to be, i rang the dr in the morning she said if its stopped which it had try not to worry but if it came back to ring the epcu, so the next day at 7w5d i was back in the epcu as the red bleeding had started again, another scan was done an internal this time, baby fine heart heat strong, couldn't figure where the blood was coming from. Booked me in for a scan 2 weeks later, so at 10w3d i had another scan all perfect, dhe said sometimes people just bleed with no explanation, i had discharge the morning of the scan but nothing after that. At exactly 12 w i went to to toiletat 6am i wipe bright red blood then nothing else. So fast forward to yesterday at 14w 5d my first proper scan in the antenatal clinic. Everything perfect no bleeding since, baby fine perfect size and heatbeat. I was given my file to bring home so i read through it turns out at the 10w3d scan she found a small sch and didnt tell me, no one in the clinic told me yesterday either. Last night about 1:30 am i went to the toilet pink blood this time, the olny thing i can think is that when they put pressure on me doing a scan they. Make the hematoma bleed, i wish someone would have explained to me about it instead of me having to read it then try figure it out, i did think i had one as it looked like a patch on my first ever scan but was told it was nothing, i will ring them on monday when they clinic is open and see what i can find out. I have a doppler my s.i.l lent me so i do feel a bit better this time after the bleeding as i know the babys heart is beating away fine, i listened after the bleeding last night and twice so far today. I hope this might help someone who is feeling scared and confused like i was. All i can say is go to ur nearest epcu if u are anyway worried.

Also @LucyDev18 I’m really glad that it sounds for you like things are looking up :-) What is a Doppler? Can people hear a heart beat with just a stethoscope?

@So12345 im not sure about the stethoscope, but the doppler is a small device that allows u to hear a heartbeat, they say on the box it doesnt work until 14-16 weeks but it worked for me from 11 and a half and my s.i.l from 10 and half, i have an anterior placenta so can be hard enough to find sometimes, but it does give me a bit of peace of mind if i do bleed. It is very hard to see anything too early i had a scan at 5w 3d for a problem with my kidneys and shes couldnt see anything, i tild her hoping she might look 😉 but all she could see was that i had a thickened lining and she thought she could see a yolk sac but wasnt sure, i know its hard to wait i was going mad waiting for the first scan but u are def better if u can leave it longer, it gives u more chance of seeing something, my scan at 7w 3d was just a small bean in the corner, he really had too zoom hard in to see the heartbeat. I know its so hard to not worry im the queen of worry, find still worrying now, but please do try to relax a small bit, even for ur own sanity.

I had a substantial bleed at 9 weeks. After a previous loss I was convinced it was all over. Had a scan 3 days later and everything was fine no explanation for the bleeding. I'm 32 weeks now. My midwife warns against using a Doppler at home as it can cause worry if you can't find baby or provide false hope when you think you can. Hope it all goes well.

@smartcarnotsosmartdriver i did hear that about the doppler but i told myself that the first week or so i tried and couldnt find anything that it could be too early or hiding so that stopped me from worrying when i didnt hear it but i do understand other people might get upset if they cant find anything. The nurse in my gp showed me what the different noises were when i said i had one so i can now tell if im hearing my heart or babys heart, even now i still cant always find it but i dint worry i just remind myself baby is still tiny and has loads of space to move around in there so ill try again next time. I think thats the best thimg with one of those is its lovely to hear but dont expect it always, i do find it calms me after a bleed though but wvertine has different waya of dealing with things, i do hope no one thinks they should get one and all will be fine because i was saying about them, wach to their own thing that helps them.

Let us know how you get on. 😀 bleeding is such a worry, i ended up in the emergency pregnancy unit only yesterday, i knew my self baby was ok but hubby was worried more about me. As i sais be i started bleeding at 1:30 am the night of the antenatal appointment, there was nothing else until yesterday morning about 8 i had a good bit of bleeding, anyway hubby took me in even though i said id wait til today, they scanned me again baby was fine so active she could barely get a measurement, heart beat perfect speed everything, she could see the little bit of the hematoma, so she thinks the pressure from the scan started that bleeding again, she said i would probably bleed again after the one she did just so i didnt worry well she was right loads of bleeding about 4am but again nothing since, she is going to talk to someonw over my case today an get me seen more regularly, but she said ahe couldnt see anything to worry about so i just have to stay calm. I hope ur levels are good today, i didnt have mine done at all this pregnancy so i dont know whats good or not. Any way thinking of u xx

Guys I have a silly question... how many weeks pregnant am I? First day of last pd was 1st Sept. Am I 6 wks +2 or 5 wks +2?! I think I’m 5... but is that wrong?

Thanks @LucyDev18 that’s what I thought! Just been feeling quite sick and seems early for it. I just saw that you were in getting seen day before yest. Hope you’re still doing ok. If you’re 8 weeks could it have been a bleed in place of your period? Apparently that can happen on 2nd missed pd? X

@SO12345 i first felt sick at 5w3d for the day but it went then until 6w5d i was so sick until bout 11w then it eased off i had a few good days in those weeks but not many, but then when i felt better i worried to so no winning with me. I was so bad at one point i couldn't keep water down so my dr told me ice pops, it was all i had except for a few tuc crackers for weeks, which was horrible cos i was so hungry, i was waking in the night starving. I lost 4kg over them weeks. After 11w i felt ok just sick on an off till 14w feel grand now just starving but cant seem to fit a lot in at once. Im 15 now but rhe discharge and bleeding started about 6 weeks and i still get some on an off but it turns out i have a sub chronic hematoma which is bleeding some times especially after the pressure of a scan

Oh @LucyDev18 sounds like you’ve been through the wars 😳 I started feeling sick before 5 weeks... I know that’s not normal 😬 I’m glad you’re still ok after bleeding but good they’re gonna see you more regularly xx

@SO12345 the sickness early could be part of it for you they say every person is different and every pregnancy is different. The first symptom i had was being really out of breathe thats why i decided to test, i was 2 days b4 my period was due but i had the same out of breath feeling when i found out the last time, this was the only thing that made me want to test, as even if af was late i wouldnt have thought anything of it, i waited 8 weeks after mmc to get one wven had acupuncture to start it, then got pregnant that cycle. Its been a tough few weeks but it will be well worth it

Hey girls sorry i went MIA..
Went in for our first ultrasound excited to hear the heatbeat.. but nothing was on ultrasound no heart beat, and hcg levels started crashing down.

Hardest part of this was the bleed stopped and i had no symptoms of miscarriage, but my levels were dropping 100 every two days.

This monday all symptoms truly started..

I go back friday to see where i am in my cycle if hcg is to zero we will make a new plan with the DR.

@HollieMarcelli lots of hugs to you. Hopefully the dr can give you some insight into what's happening. I went to a acupuncturist who specializes in fertility and Chinese medicine after my mmc she was so nice and gave me lots of tups and help for supplements etc so that could be an idea, just from a different perspective than the dr, the lasy i went to was also a registered nurse so she knew and awful lot. @So12345 let us know how you get on thinking of you

I’m thrilled to say we say an embryo with a heartbeat. It was the best outcome we could have hoped for!
Now I have to focus on my mental health and I’m going to try as hard as possible to move on and not think the worst all the time. Wish me luck- I think I have to try really hard so I can not go completely loopy.
