Guess I’m looking for a hand hold.

I’m supposed to be 9+1 weeks pregnant with a very much wanted and desperate for ivf baby.

Yesterday I woke up and had some bleeding. It was bright red and only when I wiped at first. Then it turn to dark red probably about a tablespoon or so. There were two clot like bits in the tissue but very small. Looked like when you loose lining on a period. Throughout the day it got lighter and when to a brown discharge type and remained light brown.

I have felt sick for the past week and boobs have been bigger and painful. This has stopped yesterday and today. Don’t feel as tired either. I have had no more bleeding today. Mild cramping but nothing major and haven’t needed pain killers.

I phoned the EPAU yesterday and they want me to go for a scan tomorrow, earliest they could do.

I am on progesterone pessaries that are inserted with a long applicator vaginally. I’m praying I’ve ‘caught’ something with the applicator but it’s the combined lack of symptoms really worrying me.

I just can’t help thinking that’s it’s all over. We saw at heartbeat at 7+1 but now I’m thinking it’s not progressed. Trying to keep it out my head but I can’t. It’s going to be a long 19 hours.

I bled and had clots throughout all three of my pregnancies and my symptoms would come and go all the time. Try and take it easy as much as you can.

Really sorry. I don’t know much about it but I really hope it’s good news at the scan tomorrow. Hope you’ve got your partner or a friend there with you tonight.

Oh goodness. What a long night for you. Progesterone pressures make me bleed even without an applicator.

Good luck OP. I can’t imagine how worried you must be but plenty of people do have bleeds and continue with a healthy pregnancy and I’m desperately hoping this is the case for you

I had a small brown bleed at 8 weeks. Followed by a big red blood, sorry if tmi (literally dripping out of me) and a couple of small clots.
Scanned after both and all was okay (baby is now 6 weeks old).
Big bleed was confirmed to be coming from a separate area and not affecting the pregnancy. Really thought it was all over with the second bleed.

Good luck op. If it helps at all I had a major bleed at 12 weeks, talking a toilet pan full of blood. I went for a scan convinced I was going to be told I'd lost the baby but he was absolutely fine, he is now 20 months!
Fingers crossed for you, remember bleeds in early stages are really normal.
As for symptoms I found they came in waves, tiredness and nausea until week 7, which became vomiting after food from week 8, then back aches, heartburn from week 15, then nausea and tiredness came back towards week 28. Lack of symptoms again does not mean anything! X

For those of you that have had bleeds and been ok did you have cramping too or just bleed? Sorry to ask just trying to judge how this is going to go?

I had a massive bleed at 7w. There were huge clots, I thought there was no way that I could still have a uterus left in there, let alone one with a foetus in it!
No cramping though.
Scan 5days later...strong heartbeat with TVUS wand barely inside me!!
I’m 31w now. Little bugger is beating me to a pulp. Stay strong, think positive. These first few months are terribly lonely and such a worrying time 💐

I had a bleed at 12 weeks OP. It was bright red and lasted 2 days. Gynae wanted nothing to do with me and no EPU I could go to. Paid for a private scan and thankfully my little boy was fine. They don't know what cussed the bleed and just put it down to one of those things.
I had no cramps just bleeding. I also had no pregnancy symptoms at all through out pregnancy until 16 weeks when my boobs stated to burn but lasted a week. And then heartburn from 20-38 weeks 😰. Wishing you all the best and hope you have a good outcome! 🤞🏼 x

I had a huge bleed at 16 weeks with my 1st. Lots and lots of blood out of nowhere. I went to how and was scanned and baby was fine, however I bled for 3 weeks and some days there were quite alarming clots. I didn't have any pain but felt a sort of pulling sensation. My 1st child is 6 years old now

Oh love, try not to panic. I know that’s next to impossible. Loss of symptoms is not unusual in the short term. I panicked at a similar stage and they came back with a vengeance a week later.

My daughter had a huge bleed with clots and cramps at 8 weeks ,then same at 10 weeks ,14 weeks and 18 weeks. Each time we thought the worse due to the large amount of blood. A scan each time showed him happy and healthy and it was just put down as unexplained .

DS is an ivf baby and I bled on and off throughout. It could be bad news but it might not be. Hope you get a scan asap and all is ok.
