Congratulations! How many weeks does that make you ? I am 15 weeks and due 9th feb with my first.
How have you been feeling? Many symptoms?

amyyy333 · 18/08/2019 11:05

@Sparkle0109
I’m 13 weeks +2
From 6 weeks I had nausea all day but the last month I’ve been absolutely fine just tired.
I haven’t told work yet as I’m too scared to. How are you getting on

Hi!
First pregnancy here too! I’m due 13th Feb, so 14+3 now 😁 the all day nausea seems to have lifted in the last 2/3 weeks, just have odd moments from time to time now which is much better!! Still get a few cramps etc tho, guess it might be stretching pains now though!
I told work fairly early on because of the nature of my job and managing the nausea. They were great! Are you worried your work won’t be supportive Amy?
Haven’t bought anything yet, debating whether to get some maternity jeans. I don’t have a bump as such, but it’s starting to pop now I think (gone harder rather than just flab!) and I can’t do my regular jeans up now. A bigger size rather than maternity just hang off my thighs though.
There’s a couple of other Feb 2020 threads, but very busy now-I lose track Blush

amyyy333 · 18/08/2019 12:37

@Flowersandrainbows2017 work have not been supportive to another lady so I’m a bit scared about their reaction but I know I need to tell them it’s the only thing stopping me from fully enjoying the pregnancy

@amyyy333 what a shame. I hope you get a better response from them. Legally you don’t have to tell them until 15weeks before your due date, so if you tell them soon and they’re not supportive, you need to remind them that at least you are giving them plenty of notice to sort cover or whatever they need to do, because you didn’t have to kind of thing!

HorseMum91 · 18/08/2019 19:42

@amyyy333 I’m due on 22nd Feb too!!

We had a private scan at 11 weeks and I have my NHS scan tomorrow. Very excited!

We haven’t really bought anything yet, but had a good look around the shops today at the things we may like/intend to buy. Our plan is to compile a list of thing we want then pick them up when we see them at a good price.

I know the baby won’t be using it for a long time, but we already have the nursery decorated Grin and are just waiting for the carpet to go down and then we’ll buy furniture.

I suffer with anxiety so making sure everything is ready beforehand helps a lot!

Sorry to hear your work may not be supportive. Fingers crossed it works out for you Flowers

Sparkle0109 · 18/08/2019 20:26

@flowersandrainbows2017 I went up a size in Jeans a couple of weeks ago but didnt feel like I should get maternity Jeans just yet so I went up a size and brought the elastacated ones on the waist and they are comfortable! @amyyy333 glad u are feeling ok, I am good as well too I have been pretty lucky so far when it comes to symptoms I haven't really suffered at all just the odd nausea every now and again which is manageable.
When is everyone starting to buy things ? I cant bring myself to buy anything just yet prob wait until 20 week scan

Flowersandrainbows2017 · 18/08/2019 21:19

@Sparkle0109 yeah we’re waiting until at least 20 weeks as well. It will feel more real by then I think!!

Managed to get some more jeggings today, chose some from next as I know their sizing is generally that little bit bigger on me normally and they seem comfy without being massive!

@HorseMum91 good luck for your scan tomorrow!! 😍

Lou2120 · 18/08/2019 21:38

Hi everyone!! I'm due 23rd February with my 3rd baby! This is my 1st post so hope I've done it right! Lol. I've brought a couple of bits but nothing much as I will wait to know if I'm team pink or blue! I've got 2 boys and got a feeling this is a boy too either way I will be so relieved if they are healthy!

Show19 · 18/08/2019 22:23

Huge congratulations to you all. This is my first post like Lou2120.
I'm 14 weeks tomorrow with my first baby. I'm due February 17th.
I've been really ill so far with nausea and vomitting which has been lovely as you can all probably understand.
I haven't bought anything yet like some of you, waiting for the 20 weeks scan. I've got no bump at the moment either so not changed clothes... Just a waiting game now. It's been a very strange experience so far.. feels real now we had to scan but not totally hit home yet. Not sure if that makes any sense? Confused

Lou2120 · 19/08/2019 07:36

Makes perfect sense show19. I think once you can feel movement it really starts to feel real then! Even though this is baby number 3 it still hasn't sunk in! I had the coil in place when I found out I was pregnant so has been a very big shock to me and my husband! Although were very happy about it and can't wait now!

I'm counting down the days till my midwife appointment at 16 weeks to hear little ones heart beat! 23 days and counting x

Show19 · 19/08/2019 09:44

Wow!! What a lovely shock to have though Lou2120. I'll count the days with you.
I have my midwife appointment next Wednesday. Lots of questions to ask!

We ve just told all our family and close friends and I've emailed work. ( I'm a teacher so thought this was the best way to tell them initially as I'll be 16 weeks when I get back probably with a bump and thought it would be strange to say it then.)
I've found it funny how everyone has been having a guess at what sex it will be. Has anyone been trying to guess from symptoms?
@Lou2120 you mentioned about wondering if it was team pink, but you think it's a boy. Why do you think that?
I'm the same as you, as long as it's healthy I don't mind at all.

Lou2120 · 19/08/2019 10:01

Ive had 2 boys and both pregnancies were so different craved different things, had worst morning sickness with my second. I think I just cant picture having a girl because I've already had two boys and I just picture this one to be a boy too. Either way I will be happy as long as they are healthy!

Yes we've just told everyone our news too our other 2 now know which is a relief as I'm showing loads and it was getting hard to hide it. I think because it's my third I'm showing earlier than my other 2. I've also heard good things about the Chinese gender predictor just for fun though if you google it see what you think Smile

sunflower2020 · 19/08/2019 10:14

Hi everyone 😃 congrats on all your pregnancies! Am currently 12+2 with our first baby. As per my calculation the due date is 29th February 2020😅 (leap year!!)

Will finally have the first scan next week, so very excited because I can still barely believe that I'm carrying a little one.

Not showing at all & no symptoms except some dizziness and sore boobs. Is anyone else suffering from pimples suddenly? I've been getting them on my chest and back and have no idea how to get rid of them 😪 must be the hormones

Dollydoo22 · 19/08/2019 10:17

Hi ladies hope you don't mind me joining!??

So I'm "Dollie" and need a vent / advise / I dunno why but I just find comfort in these threads!

So I had a mc in December and a chemical in feb and finally 2 weeks ago I got my POSITIVE YAY!

Ok so factsheet...

last period 5th July
cycle length varies from 30-33 days
ovulation test smiley 20th July (PM - the am was negative)
feint positive 2/8/19

  • digital positive 4/8/19

So with all of the above info my "Ovia" app calculated I was 6wks + 2 days today.

So being the anxious crazy lady I am I booked a 6week private scan today hoping to be reassured - especially since yesterday after I pee'd (tmi) I had a little bit of spotting and again late last night

Anyway so today I go and had my ultrasound and my pregnancy is confirmed a 6.8mm great shaped (?) pregnancy uterine sac (if I'm wording correctly) and a very strong yolk sac BUT no fetus / fetal pole so my sonographer guesstimated I'm actually more 5weeks and I should come back in 2 weeks...

As you can imagine my mind is now going crazy...
I'm feeling totally anxious - plus after the ultrasound I got some brown spotting! And have had a little more other spotting this evening which my sister thinks could be implantation as I'm more 5 weeks

I guess I just wondered if anyone had any similar experience that ended well? And if looking at my dates that actually the ultrasound does add up and I just miscalculated

Also implantation spotting - anyone had it!?

Lou2120 · 19/08/2019 10:53

I had similar with this pregnancy because I had the coil I didnt know how far along I was my first scan said 5-5.5 weeks then I had to wait 16 days which I was going insane during!! I also had very little brown spotting during this time until 8 weeks actually then it stopped. My scan 16 days later showed a heartbeat and they said I was 7 weeks 6 days. I then had to wait again until my 12 week scan which was on the 13th august and I was dated 12 weeks 2 days now I'm going insane waiting for my 16 week appointment I dont think I ever relax in pregnancy as my 1st pregnancy I had a miscarriage so its scared me. Hope this helps anyway.

Greyworm · 19/08/2019 17:25

Heya, can I join :) I was reluctant to join a group until I had my scan but I've had it now and it's all good! Due 23rd Feb :)

Lou2120 · 19/08/2019 18:10

Same due date as me greyworm! How are you feeling? Do you have your 1st midwife appointment booked?

Greyworm · 19/08/2019 21:06

I just feel tired! Yes had my booking appointment a few weeks ago. Had my scan this morning. All OK thankfully :) feeling quite sick this time round, last time I don't remember feeling ill. How are you feeling?

Ryekiss · 20/08/2019 05:57

Hello, congratulations!
My due date is 26th of Feb. I saw the little heart bit at 6 & 8 weeks and had my 12 weeks scan on the 15 & 16th in 2 different hospitals. I am yet to decide what hospital to stick with. Going forward, I would like to stick with one and maybe transfer later on. The last scan was horrible. They pressing my stomach so hard that the baby rolled on itself to get away from it.
I have gone veggie free too.
It still hasn't sunk in yet even though I've seen it moving about.

Lou2120 · 20/08/2019 07:22

I'm feeling bit better I had all day and night sickness but its eased now but i am having headaches which do not go and are agony not sure if they are hormonal or not. I still don't feel like theres a baby there too even though I've seen them 3 times lol. I love it when you get to the stage of feeling them move x

Greyworm · 20/08/2019 08:40

Are you having 1st babies? I had a migraine when I ate certain food last time. @ryekiss what's veggie free? (sorry if I'm being dim, I have serious baby brain all the time)

Lou2120 · 20/08/2019 09:15

No this is my 3rd baby. I just can't figure out what is causing these migraines just hard to function because I've got both my other children off on 6 weeks holiday. Is this you 2nd baby greyworm?

Greyworm · 20/08/2019 15:55

Congratulations :) I'd like to have three. Oh I'm shattered I had all these intentions to be really active during the holidays and go on adventures just want to sleep though. Hope the migraines pass. I think mine were caused by raw peppers

Lou2120 · 20/08/2019 16:37

I feel so guilty about not doing much in the holidays but I literally just can't. I slept from 9.30pm last night until 7am and I'm still tired. Me and my husband are taking them away over the weekend and I'm dreading how tired I will feel. Do you have any idea of yours gender at the moment? Do you have a boy or girl already?
