@Stacy653, I’m so sorry to hear the results aren’t what you hoped 😔 If you need to talk at all, feel free to message me privately 💕

Oh @Stacey653 I'm so sad for you. I didn't have to make any big decisions like you because my baby was spotted on scan before I had triple NHS test. Fluid was all around baby and when I went for my cvs, consultant told me that my baby was so poorly I would definitely miscarry. I had the cvs anyway but had already opted for termination. I got the results the day I was in hospital for medical management. It was, like you, t21.
It's been a hard year, but I got through it... Enough to try for another baby. I'm now 8 weeks pregnant and I'm not going to lie, crapping myself that something similar will happen again.

If you want to chat, you can on here. Equally you can pm me. Sending you lots of love x

You’ll be fine, promise 💐.

As others have suggested, do have a look at www.positiveaboutdownssyndrome.co.uk, the expectant parents section of www.downs-syndrome.org.uk and ‘Don’t Be Sorry’ - a Blog about a rather awesome little 7 year old called Oscar who just happens to have an extra chromosome. These will give you a bit of insight about the realities of living and parenting with the condition.

My little superstar will be 4 next week. She has no heart, bowel or feeding issues, just slight long-sightedness for which she refuses to wear her glasses! She commando crawled shortly after 1, started to walk just before she turned three and now there is no stopping her! She has loads and loads of words and signs and is beginning to put them together to form sentences. She can count! Words cannot express how proud I am of her. I wish I could travel back in time and tell the scared me, just after having got her diagnosis postnatally, what an amazing little girl she would become. She has lots of friends through our local DS charity who have experienced various issues (heart, feeding etc) but all have bounced back and are doing so well. Please don’t be scared
and good luck with whatever you decide.
