@Starcrossed0511 @janey15 @Navy123 thanks for the reassurance that I'm not the only one! The other slightly awkward symptom that I've developed in the past couple of days is permanently erect nipples! A supplier at work hugged me today (I hate the over familiar ones!!!) and it felt uncomfortable to say the least - thank god the weather is cooler and I can layer up! Blush

firsttimemum1993 · 21/08/2019 00:26

Hey all πŸ˜ƒ

This is the first month we have been trying. I had a missed miscarriage 10 weeks ago at 12 weeks and wasn't trying to conceive at the time but now want to be pregnant more than ever.

I don't know if I'm being of those crazy people where they imagine symptoms but my last period was on the 5th August and lasted 7 days and we have been going for it ever since, especially during fertile window and I swear my nipples are stinging like mad and I'm so veiny on my boobs, i have this gut feeling I'm pregnant but surely wouldn't have symptoms this quick... just strange only time I have had this nipple/veiny thing was when I was pregnant before. Don't have anything to relate it to because that missed miscarriage was the only time I have been pregnant.

I am probs just being crazy but so strange 🀭

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 21/08/2019 04:33

So had our scan yesterday but then came home and didn't feel too great, and now I'm having trouble staying asleep πŸ˜’

All seems okay though and it looks like we're having a boy 😍 So surprised, I was completely convinced otherwise. Also found out that my placenta actually is at the front so that explains a lot about not really feeling movements!

Avocuddles · 21/08/2019 06:33

Congratulations @UnicornsandRainbows1 gorgeous picture of your SON! Glad all seems to be ol x

Avocuddles · 21/08/2019 06:33

(Ol -= ok!)

VenusStarr · 21/08/2019 08:15

I think that's sensible @Avocuddles, glad you're being seen by your consultant next week :)

@janey15 thinking of you today πŸ’œ

@fnej01 is your scan today too? Hope all goes well (and that I got the right day!)

@UnicornsandRainbows1 gorgeous scan photo, congratulations on your boy! πŸ’™

I had an awful night, full of cold and just generally lying there not asleep but not quite awake. Paracetamol is a bit rubbish really, isn't it? Feel exhausted. Only doing a half day as have my counselling later.

Have a good day all xx

MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue · 21/08/2019 08:39

Good luck today @janey15 and @fnej01 xxxx

Flyfisherlady · 21/08/2019 08:41

Good Luck to everyone today especially The To Be Scanned! One day at a time. I’m 4 weeks and 5. I found out on Saturday.
Pregxiety abounds but I’m pleased I’m seeing the funny side.
In the last day, having convinced myself I was about to miscarry, I’ve now managed to convince myself I’m having twins. πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ I have no evidence for this of course...

InDreamland · 21/08/2019 08:42

@tinatsarina lovely news on the scan!

@sadtoday21 the anxiety pre-scan is normal, especially when we've all gone through hell. Fx all will be well on the day and it'll help give reassurance.

@MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue I feel the same, wanted to just get autumn and winter mat clothes as bubsy due in February so summer stuff just pointless, guess the basics I can just layer up. Got the tights from Jojo Maman Bebe - there's one on Epping high street. The staff in there are so friendly and helpful (I was feeling a bit tired and overwhelmed when I was in there). Might pop back if I have time for a pair of jeans as all mine and my jeggings are so uncomfortable now.

@TinyPaws so sorry you're having bleeding. I hope it's just IB and nothing else.

@fnej01 glad your cold has subsided.

@Starcrossed0511 welcome to the huddle and cool bump names. Mine are all very boring lol.

@moonpeace thank you for sharing your purchases. I think I'll look again online - did they come up true to size? I find ASOS sizing really weird.

@Mistymeow sorry you've been feeling so awful but it is a good sign. Just another 5-6 weeks to go and hopefully it'll ease. They do tend to come and go so hope you have some good days to break it up.

@frillyfarmer that sounds scary. I've had a couple of moments where I've felt super faint and light headed but not like what you describe.

@tinatsarina what a cute reaction from your LO. I remember when I was 5 being super excited when my mum was pregnant with my sis. My mum still has a picture I drew up on her pin board in their home study lol.

@janey15 good luck for your scan!

@Bluebelltulip thanks for confirming you've also had the cramps, they were so sore. I ended up looking up symptoms on the NHS site and it confirms we get leg cramps - brilliant, I hate them.

@Avocuddles I found I had a fair bit of CM in first pregnancy and this one early on. It's normal apparently - not pleasant but normal. Panty liners are your friend.

@UnicornsandRainbows1 congratulations on a healthy scan and so exciting you know the sex. I am still undecided on whether we open that envelope. DH wants to open after our 20w scan if all is okay. I still don't know if I'd rather have a surprise.

@Flyfisherlady hope you are with us for the full 40w. Pregnancy after loss is such an anxious time but the huddle is the best place to be.

@firsttimemum1993 will you be testing early? Sorry to hear of your loss. We all understand that pain here. Hopefully you get your BFP and can join in our anxiety.

I wasn't feeling too bad this morning apart from really tired as I'm not sleeping well at the moment. Then got on the tube and bam, someone painting their nails, then a heavy smoker - the smell just brings on the nausea. Throw in the motion of the train ........I hate tube travel and I can't avoid it.

sadtoday21 · 21/08/2019 09:28

Good luck today @fnej01 and @janey15!!!

That's a beautiful reaction to the news @tinatsarina, your family sounds adorable! It must have felt wonderful to finally share the news. Thanks also for letting me know your symptoms similarly decreased at 10 weeks. Mine aren't gone - boobs still full and tummy still bloated - but I do feel a bit better. Maybe it's all in my head!

@Indreamland totally understand how the motion of the train and the smell would set you off. Are you feeling a bit less anxious these days? What is your next milestone?

Thanks for checking on me @VenusStarr! How are you feeling these days? How many weeks are you now?

sadtoday21 · 21/08/2019 09:29

Oh and major congrats @UnicornsandRainbows1! Lovely that you have found out the gender now. I am also convinced mine is a girl, so watch it will also be a boy! :)

Flyfisherlady · 21/08/2019 09:33

@indreamland yes it is. You guys and an amazing lady I work with (4 miscarriages in a row) then a baby are the only people who really understand.

On Tube travel, last time I was pregnant I actually made a man who was putting on peppermint smelling hand cream on the circle line get up and move. I said that I was pregnant & that the smell is making it quite likely that I would vomit all over him. He moved bloody quickly!

VenusStarr · 21/08/2019 10:31

I'm 6+2 today @sadtoday21, trying not to think too much about the scan tomorrow. I keep trying to think that my mmc was rare and that it's unlikely to happen again (not impossible I know) and I've had no spotting and generally feeling quite pregnant at the moment. Not positive as such but OK! Hope all is well with you and you're feeling OK too x

@Avocuddles and @InDreamland I had a big blob of white ewcm on Monday, lovely. Still on knicker watch.

@InDreamland sorry your commute is so smelly and not good for your nausea

@frillyfarmer hope you're OK today, definitely mention it at your appointment

@Flyfisherlady I have a random thought that it could be twins, zero evidence but just a feeling. I was given a blooming orchid from work after my miscarriage and then one day pretty much all the flowers fell off, apart from 2 which are thriving. I check them everyday and it gives me hope (I'll be distraught if they die as I believe they are a sign of something, not quite sure what). Im aware that makes me sound crazy but I guess it's linked to anxiety?
Will you have an early scan?

Hope this week passes quickly for you @Mistymeow, how far along are you now?

@Navy123 hope you're OK

Fingers crossed for you this cycle @firsttimemum1993 🀞

janey15 · 21/08/2019 10:32

Thank you for you kind wishes - I'll reply properly when I get home.

So we saw the gestational sac and yolk and at the last minute she spotted a tiny heartbeat! They said it was probably only a couple of hours old! My husband just about managed not to cry, I'm in shock Confused

Will reply properly when I get home as in Costa right now having a decaf and a cake xxx

firsttimemum1993 · 21/08/2019 10:50

@InDreamland

Thank you and hope your sickness calms down❀️

Ehm... i am not due a period for another 10 days but I just have this gut feeling, woke up this morning and wow my nipples are so sore exactly same feeling like before. Wish I could know for sure but will have to wait..

Anybody else tested earlier really early on and got a BFP?

Xx

Bluebelltulip · 21/08/2019 10:54

@Avocuddles I've had lots of discharge this pregnancy more than the previous 2.

@Navy123 I've managed to avoid being sick on DD but have thrown up just after doing her nappy, luckily she tends to do most while DH is here in the morning.

@VenusStarr hope your cold gets better soon.

@UnicornsandRainbows1 congratulations on your scan, I hope you managed to get done sleep.

@janey15 that sounds lovely.

I've had to order more bras today, in DD1's pregnancy they got bigger early on then stated static until breast feeding then reduced to the pregnancy size when I stopped, in DD2's pregnancy my size didn't change. Now they have gone up 2 cup sizes. I hoping they don't get much bigger.

FirstTimeMama91 · 21/08/2019 11:28

@firsttimemum1993 glad someone else is in the tww with me! I'm on CD 22 now. Have ordered some frer which should be here by Friday. I think I'll test Friday even though I'll only be 7/8 dpo πŸ™ˆ the wait is driving me mad! Love this wee thread, can't wait to be back on it Smile

firsttimemum1993 · 21/08/2019 11:42

@FirstTimeMama91

Yaay 😁 I am only on CD 17 and I have the FLO app which is great, Quick question- My last period was 5 days early last time (5th august) and i am as regular as clock work usually even after I had a MMC at the start of june my period came back 4 weeks to the date of the MMC so was surprised it came so early this cycle. Wondering If i have ovulated earlier because I swear my nipples have only ever been this way when I was pregnant the last time they are legit stinging a new level like wearing a bra is soul destroying right now. Only reason I ask as following my app it tells my my fertile window was 15-19 august which was just obv the other day which is too soon to have symptoms. I started getting the stingy nips and veiny chest last week 🧐 hmm ... whats your thoughts.. this is my first time TTC other MMC was unplanned.

rubyroot · 21/08/2019 11:53

@janey15 excellent news, was hoping you'd see a heartbeat. That's a relief isn't it, means less worrying at least. Isn't it weird how the heartbeat just starts up.

rubyroot · 21/08/2019 11:58

@firsttimemum93 I knew I was pregnant a week after ovulation. Would have implanted by then and so would have started to give out hormones. Tested positive two days later. sore boobs and woke up in the middle of night and couldn't get back to sleep. These are very clear signs for me. If you are about five days past ovulation then I would say it could be possible.

Frillyfarmer · 21/08/2019 12:00

I have my dating scan today, which I'm just a bag of nerves over. My husband is a farmer and the weather is finally getting its act together here so he can't come. I'm OK with that - I'm a fairly practical person and I'm a farmers daughter so I knew what I was marrying into, but I wish I'd foreseen the anxiety I would have and organised a friend to come with me. My mum is looking after my DS so she can't come with me - she offered to come and sit in the waiting room but I don't want her to bring DS into the hospital because he's just getting over a cold and I hate to think I'm spreading germs. I'll be fine whatever the outcome, I've bad news at scans by myself before but I've got quite attached to this one now we've hit the 12 week mark!!

Bluebelltulip · 21/08/2019 12:07

@FrillyFarmer good luck and sending a virtual hand hold.

sadtoday21 · 21/08/2019 12:12

@Avocuddles and @InDreamland I also had EWCM a few times in this pregnancy, just like @VenusStarr.

@VenusStarr you are doing so well! Getting to the 6 week scan can feel like forever! Really hoping all goes well for you tomorrow, will be thinking of you! I am 10+4 today, waiting for my 12 week scan a week from Friday. You and I both share the same fears about another MMC, it makes scans really hard doesn't it? Also no bleeding or pain yet, but I don't trust my body to tell me if something is wrong anymore.

@Frillyfarmer really sorry you are going to the dating scan by yourself, that's very tough. I hope that all goes well today and you have a nice photo to show your DH when you get back! Thinking of you Xxx.
