Thank you lovely ladies for all your support, especially as I've not been very active on this thread so far.

The bleeding is very light (more spotting than bleeding) and is red.

One week to go until viability scan.

I am basically a big ball of anxiety, good for very little except worrying right now.

Squiff70 · 20/08/2019 14:51

Thanks everyone. @Navy123 I still feel overwhelmed to say the least, but just taking it one day at a time. I'm 8+5 today and trying not to stress too much about the 12 week scan. It's a bloody nightmare trying to find a pram for twins that will fit on buses by the way!

@TinyPaws I had spotting at about 5+3 and it turned out it was just the embryo(s!) implanting. Hopefully this is what you're experiencing.

sadtoday21 · 20/08/2019 16:03

@rubyroot I didn't know that about the yolk sac, that's really good to know. As you yourself said, symptoms do fluctuate a lot and you can't read into it too much (even though I am doing the same thing as you right now!). At least you only have a week until 10 week scan and NIPT, although I know your personal milestone is 13 weeks. I feel like it gets so much harder as we get closer to the 12 week scan, anxiety is definitely ratcheting up. How's your tooth?

@TinyPaws its good that its only spotting so far, I have everything crossed for you that all is well!

Anyone else have less symptoms starting around 10 weeks?

VenusStarr · 20/08/2019 17:32

Hey, just catching up, not been able to get on at all today.

@TinyPaws I'm sorry to hear about the spotting, hoping all is well and it's just your baby getting comfy xx

@Starcrossed0511 welcome :) loving your baby nickname

@InDreamland thank you, anxiety isn't too bad today, trying just to focus on today and time is actually passing quickly, it's not long until we find out 🀞 hope you're OK

@fnej01 how are you feeling? I've got a horrible cold too, feeling quite rough and also sick, but not sure if it's the cold or pregnancy making me feel like this. Wishing you all the best for tomorrow 🀞 ❀️

@rubyroot thank you for the good vibes. How are you?

@sadtoday21 hope you're doing OK

@coconutlatte44 nearly halfway! That's amazing :)

I've been a bit grumpy with dh, just finding I'm quite irritable, but am taking that as a good sign. Hope everyone is doing well xx

rubyroot · 20/08/2019 17:34

@TinyPaws that's good that it's spotting. I know quite a few people who have bled in pregnancy and all been fine. Fingers crossed this is the case for you. X

Avocuddles · 20/08/2019 17:58

@tinatsarina amazing scan photo! So glad everything is looking good.

@Squiff70 glad your scan went well and the twins are doing fine.

@fnej01 good luck for your scan tomorrow, will be thinking of you.

@Starcrossed0511 steak bake is a great name! Hope everything goes well on Friday, appreciate this is a very nerve wracking time but in the absence of gin I recommend 'ceders' alcohol free spirit - mixed with a decent tonic you can barely tell the difference from the real stuff....

@TinyPaws I'm sorry about your bleeding. As others say there are plenty of examples of people who have gone on to have healthy pregnancies after spotting, but know how terrifying it can be. I can't imagine being able to be pregnant without constant knicker watch. I've been having back ache, light cramps and gassy pains pretty much since I got my BFP 10 days ago and I'm really struggling to picture things working out, though praying hard!

@VenusStarr sorry you're feeling rough, hope the cold doesn't take long to shift.

@rubyroot take comfort in the fact the sonographer said everything looks normal - I know it's really hard to avoid constantly googling stuff, I do it pretty much all day long, but sometimes it's best to try to and step back. Hopefully your next scan will give you more comfort x

VenusStarr · 20/08/2019 18:30

Lovely photos @tinatsarina, so pleased for you :)

Great news @Squiff70, glad they are both growing well

@Avocuddles thank you, hoping it's passes soon, paracetamol isn't doing much. How's things with you? You're about a week behind me aren't you?

ChikiTIKI · 20/08/2019 18:32

@Starcrossed0511 I love your bump names :) I always call mine "pea belly" but might go for something else this time.

Sorry for your losses and I hope it all goes well this time for you xxxx

Starcrossed0511 · 20/08/2019 18:43

Awww thank you at @ChikiTIKI xxx

tinatsarina · 20/08/2019 18:56

@TinyPaws hopefully your scan says everything is ok
@sadtoday21 my symptoms eased up at 10 weeks not that I had many to begin with.

So I told my 5 year old now that we have scan pictures and it all looks ok atm. He thought the pictures were him as a baby (cuz he saw the ones I kept of him) and he thought it was the moon. I was like no that's a baby. He said is it in your tummy? I said yes and he shouted yay!!! And hugged his dad!!

Sorry I’ve been quiet. I’ve just started a new temp job and I’m struggling with fatigue and nausea. Had a few pukey moments too! 7 weeks tomorrow. Lovely to see bump pics and scans but also sorry to hear of continuing anxiety and an early loss.

@TinyPaws I am rooting for you so much. Hang on in there. Is there a chance that you can get the scan earlier? I suppose they need baby to be 6 weeks to give you a better idea about what’s going on. I hope the spotting clears and it’s just a bit of cervical erosion.
@Starcrossed0511 I love your nicknames! I think it’s really good after loss to try to keep things light hearted if possible, although I understand this doesn’t work for everyone. Sounds like you have had a rough time. There are a few ladies on this thread older than you doing very well so hopefully you will have a similar positive outcome.

Even though the progesterone pessaries are gross I’m sort of glad to have them because they disguise my cm! Sorry if you’re eating! I’ve also banned myself from β€œknicker checking” unless I’m at home because I don’t want to get upset around people if I see spotting. I’m finding this is helping with anxiety.

Avocuddles · 20/08/2019 20:01

@VenusStarr I'm 5+4 by LMP but think I'm actually 5 weeks tomorrow. I'm not bad but been having lots of mild twinges and cramps from pretty much day one which I'm finding disconcerting. I'm on enoxaparin injections and have an appointment with my consultant obstetrician (due to my blood clot history) next Friday so getting through to that date is my current milestone. If I'm still ok then then I'll think about getting an early scan booked for 7 weeks....but not feeling confident enough to do that yet x

Bluebelltulip · 20/08/2019 20:07

Congratulations on your scans @Squiff70 and @tinatsarina.

@InDreamland I have had cramp a few times this pregnancy, had it in previous ones too.

@Starcrossed0511 welcome, sorry for your losses and wishing you the best for this pregnancy. I love your nicknames, when DD2 was stillborn we kept her nickname as her middle name.

Avocuddles · 20/08/2019 20:26

Apologies if this is a TMI question ladies but has anyone had lots of discharge in early pregnancy? I seem to be having lots of watery discharge. It's been clear so far but it's making me feel panicky...

Starcrossed0511 · 20/08/2019 20:56

@Avocuddles TMI but week 4 and 5 it was slip slidey down there! It was vile!
However it's settled towards 7 weeks xx

Flyfisherlady · 20/08/2019 20:58

Can I just say to all you ladies! You are so amazing and strong. I’m wowed and comforted by you all.

janey15 · 20/08/2019 20:59

@Avocuddles me BlushI was just googling it!

I've been feeling pretty exhausted today and after a long lie in and an afternoon nap I've not achieved much today! I'm on holiday until 4th Sept and actually think I might go crazy...

Feeling excited and nervous for the scan tomorrow. I've had more pains and feelings of pressure but not really cramping which I'm pleased about. I've also had some bouts of feeling really sick, totally gone off all but crap food, sore boobs etc. Generally feel more 'pregnant' this time whereas last time I think it was all from the cyclogest.

My LMP puts me as 5+6 tomorrow but might be a couple of days less as don't know when I ovulated. Just dreading going back in the epu Sad

Navy123 · 20/08/2019 21:12

@TinyPaws sorry you're so stressed, is there anything you can do to try to distract yourself while you wait?

@Squiff70 I can imagine! I'm a bad enough driver with a single buggy, I'd be a danger with a double! At least we have no buses here to have to worry about - one perk of living in the middle of nowhere.

@tinatsarina your 5 yos reaction sounds great, bless! No idea how I explain the concept to mine, he'll be just over 2 if this one works out, I don't know how much he will understand!

@Avocuddles far too much cm here! Had enough!

@janey15 lie in and nap sound great, teeny bit jealous. Know what you mean about returning to the epu though, I found it really hard going back a couple of weeks ago. Hope it all goes well for you.

Survived my day of solo toddler watching - luckily he was in a good mood which made it much easier. Can't be dealing with pooey nappies though! Not helping the nausea! Although I do remember a friend who was dealing with a bad nappy in early pregnancy, puked on her daughter who then puked right back at here - what a nightmare! Couldn't help but laugh but now I worry it'll be my turn...

I was also prescribed the progesterone pessaries but after reading the leaflet in the box I decided not to take them (And not for reasons of discharge!). From what I've heard and read I don't feel like I'm missing much! Blush

I am, however, taking the baby aspirin. Only time will tell if it will work.

rubyroot · 20/08/2019 21:32

@janey15 good luck tomorrow. I go back to work soon and no idea how I'm goo g to cope without the naps. I got out of bed at ten today, had a leisurely day and no nap and now I've absolutely had it!

Frillyfarmer · 20/08/2019 21:39

@tinatsarina lovely reaction πŸ’ž it's so nice that he's old enough to understand.

I've had a shocker today. Was at a site meeting with a colleague and a client when I just came across so ill all of a sudden, my vision clouded over and my hearing stated to muffle. Managed to just about save myself but it's the first time I've had such a reaction. Dating scan tomorrow so hopefully I will bring it up with her - I had GD in my first pregnancy and remember a few crashes (much much later on in pregnancy) so I'm thinking I need GTT earlier this time round. Sat at home, happily sick as a dog - not sure whether it's my morning sickness or the anxiety. Will it ever get better?

Mistymeow · 20/08/2019 21:46

@moonpeace I understand the nerves but I would trust the consultant- they will have seen lots of women like you and know what they’re doing. I’m a bit worried the extra progesterone is causing my symptoms and baby is not developing. I have one more week until my scan.
@Frillyfarmer will be thinking of you! Good idea to mention the dizzy spell too.
