@Navy123 I didn't know you could do that! Thanks!

Frillyfarmer · 19/08/2019 20:21

Hi ladies, after two marvellous weeks, the nausea has hit me harder then ever today at 12+2. I just thank god I was at work and not tasked with looking after my toddler! It was a quiet Monday as it's still school hols so I commandeered the disabled toilet most of the morning 😰

@MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGluedefinitely positive you get another lovely scan, and baby was just being awkward not getting into position for you!

Hope everyone is doing well! Who is/has already found out what sex they're having? My DS was the most marvellous surprise but I can't decide whether I would rather know this time round?

rubyroot · 19/08/2019 20:27

@Pegase I'm sorry I missed that update, I don't know how. I'm really sorry and its really hard, I know as had a 'chemical pregnancy' about 9/10 weeks ago. It was about the same time as you and then I got pregnant straight after. So I was on this thread, lingering and then back on this thread again! Who knows how this one is going to go, but I read some research that pregnancies after 'chemicals' are more likely to be successful. Who knows if this has any sustenance or how valid the research is?! I can but hope.

Bluebelltulip · 19/08/2019 20:37

@fnej01 I've used the baby version of vapour rub in pregnancy.

@MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue I hope the rescan goes well, babies can be awkward at times.

@Pegase sorry to hear your update, hopefully it's just spotting.

@Flyfisherlady it's understandable that pregnancy has triggered your memories and grief, I find it hits me at random points but it's completely natural.

@Frillyfarmer we are keeping this one as our third surprise, I am curious but planning on waiting, will be having lots of scans anyway so can always change our minds.

something unfortunate that happened in the waiting room of the EPU while i was having my miscarriage... they were showing a documentary about someone giving birth and going home with their baby on the waiting room TV. thankfully they did change the channel when i pointed this out.

coconutlatte44 · 19/08/2019 21:24

Congrats @strawberrye and @MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue on your positive scans, and sending positive thoughts to everyone still in their early days, it’s so scary isn’t it. For me, at least, the time has gone a lot quicker since I passed 12 weeks, so hoping everyone makes it there safely and finds the same happens for them!

I am 18 weeks today and can’t believe it’s been 6 weeks since last scan and somehow am still holding up ok, next one in two and a half weeks. I feel like I have noticed some flutters but can’t be totally sure. Still having some appetite and digestive issues and was properly sick last night for the first time which seems like weird timing especially since I spent so many weeks feeling like I was going to be sick in the first trimester. Hoping it’s a one off!

rubyroot · 19/08/2019 21:51

I'm now having a mini panic. Just had right sided stitch pain come on quite sudden. And abdomen feels a bit tender if I push down on it. Seems a bit different from previous pains. God I bloody hate this, if we were rich we'd have a scanner sat next to us.

Does any one else have more pain after weeing and I don't have uti as was checked for that the other day

Squiff70 · 19/08/2019 22:09

Hi ladies,

I'm really sorry I haven't been able to keep up with this thread. Last week was crazy busy and this week is busier still.

I had a scan today at 8+4. Both twins are doing fine - one is one millimeter bigger than the other (so measuring at 8+4 and 8+3).

Congratultions to those of you who've recently had BFPs and good scans!

@Rubyroot, I also get pain when I empty my bladder. I did in my previous pregnancy too. I have no idea why or what it means (if anything) but I am trying not to take every little pain as a bad sign. Hope this puts your mind at rest a tiny bit x

janey15 · 19/08/2019 22:29

@rubyroot it's obviously very early days for me but in the evenings when I've been more bloated it's been painful going to the toilet for me too.

I've got pain down the left half of my abdomen tonight. Hoping it's just my usual endo pain being set off by the whole process and not a sign of an impending mc Sad
I'm also very bloated since this afternoon and feel I have to move carefully as if I use my stomach muscle at all it feels very soreConfused

Trying to think positive...

rubyroot · 19/08/2019 22:47

@janey15 let's hope it's all good for both of us 🀞x

InDreamland · 20/08/2019 08:34

Goodness this thread really moves fast.

@strawberrye great news on the scan. Hopefully that gives you some reassurance.

@fnej01 sorry you're unreal and have anxiety. It's awful isn't it. I've also had a cold and cough and the only thing you can take is paracetamol and lots of warm drinks like honey and lemon. I read that your immune system is lower when pregnant because baby is a foreign object in body so to avoid your body rejecting it.

@VenusStarr sorry you're feeling anxious too. It's perfectly normal especially after what we've all been through. Hope Thursday comes quickly and you get good news.

@MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue lovely to see you back and you're half way through! That must feel like such a relief. I'm feeling like I'll never get there.

@Navy123 thanks. I do worry I've jinxed it though. The pulling sensations for now have eased again but I'm still worried. Hope your nausea isn't so awful you can't function but it's a good sign.

@janey15 you should see a yolk sac and fetal pole at 5.5-6 weeks, they say you may see a HB at 6w but it's at 7w they expect to see one.

@Frillyfarmer hope the nausea isn't too bad today. Crazy that we want it but then when we have it we wish we didn't feel so awful. We still haven't found out the sex, it's still in a sealed envelope at home waiting for when we decide whether we want to or not.

@moonpeace you're 2.5w away from the halfway point! I got some basic bits at the weekend from Jojo, just some leggings on sale, a top on sale and 2 pairs of tights. What did you keep from asos? Anything you'd recommend to us? I really need to get measured for bras, mine are all so uncomfortable now and barely fit.

@Squiff70 glad to hear you and the twins are doing well.

@rubyroot fx it's just things moving around and stretching. I had the same earlier in this pregnancy and now having what I hope is round ligament pain rather than anything sinister.

Is anyone or has anyone had leg cramps? The past couple of weeks when I wake up I sometimes get cramps in my calf muscle, I don't normally. It's rather painful/sore. 14w today for me. Forever to go .........

So update!! Had my scan this morning. I cried when they mentioned the MC and then cried again on the bed waiting for the scan but everything's ok!! Heartbeat good and everything. I bawled my eyes out and apologised for shaking when she was trying to get pictures but the sonographer was lovely.

Excellent @tinatsarina well awaited

janey15 · 20/08/2019 10:50

Congratulations @tinatsarina xxx

sadtoday21 · 20/08/2019 10:59

Congrats @tinatsarina, that's amazing!!! I'm so happy for you and you must feel such relief to have passed this milestone. Sending you hugs!!

Thanks @rubyroot for your kind message. I'm really sorry you are in panic mode, I know that feeling all too well. Are you still in pain on the right side? How many weeks are you now? Do you have any scans coming up? I haven't had that specifically, but agree with other ladies that it could just be everything pulling and stretching to fit baby, particularly if its gone away now.

Still really scared about the approaching 12 week scan. Did anyone else feel their symptoms lesson a bit around 10 weeks? Terrified of another mmc and really hoping the next scan goes ok...good luck to everyone else who has scans this week! @fnej01 you have one tomorrow, right?

MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue · 20/08/2019 11:22

Excellent news @tinatsarina! So pleased for you.

Thanks for reassurance @Moonpeace. I am having to repeat to myself that they didn’t say or act like anything was wrong, they could see the heart and showed me it beating, just couldn’t get the view the needed from the front. I am also telling myself that three weeks ago at my scan it was all fine and everything was so thoroughly checked by the Fetal Medicine Centre. I’m a born worrier though so will keep playing on my mind and sadly I'm not satisfied but then I don't think I ever will be until this boy is here! Anyway, I can’t believe you’re also nearly halfway – that has gone quickly! Although I appreciate probably not for you! How are you feeling?

@coconutlatte44 ** can’t believe you are almost halfway either! Well done on being so calm and not being a repeat scanner like myself! I hope the flutters become more distinctive but sound like it is probably movement to me! Sorry the sickness has come back. Mine was awful until about 17 weeks and I still get bouts of nausea, mainly if I am really tired.

@InDreamland I definitely need some more maternity bits but am trying to wait until after summer. Bit gutted we are due another heatwave as I wanted to start thinking about autumn mat wear! I have two pairs of jeans (which I can wear to work) and some dresses, but definitely need some tights and probably some leggings – remember near the end of DD pregnancy living in leggings and slobby cardigans, they were also good for after birth and my c-section. Where did you get your tights from? Can’t remember what ones I had last time so recommendations welcome! Can’t believe you have been so restrained about finding out the sex!

Awesome news on the scan @Squiff70. I am keeping all crossed for the three of you xxx

Sorry you are also suffering with nausea @Frillyfarmer. It’s horrible but I always took comfort in that it made me feel pregnant. Crappy when you have a toddler to look after though!

Sorry to anyone I have missed, a big hello to all newbies and even bigger hugs to all those experiencing spotting, pain and/or anxiety. It's a horrible time but we will all get there with our rainbows 🌈 xxx

fnej01 · 20/08/2019 11:45

Thanks for all the comments ladies. My cold has subsided a little overnight and I have come back to work to stop myself going insane debating what may/may not be at the scan tomorrow. I've known all the way through that it is what it is... so just need to get that mantra back! Definitely feeling a little better today!

@Bluebelltulip hadn't thought of using baby vapour rub version thanks for the tip

@rubyroot yes it's hard when symptoms fluctuate isn't it. My boobs are more tender again today but I think this is possibly because I keep prodding them πŸ˜‚. Hope that the pain you had yesterday has settled down? I also find pains come and go and I am never sure what is more disconcerting

@Navy123 I think you are right and bizarrely the cold is making how I feel with tiredness nausea and even bloating. Hope your nausea is manageable?

@Squiff70 @tinatsarina congratulations on your scans ladies. Hope you have some temporary reassurance

@InDreamland I do completely think the combination of pregnancy and steroids have completely wiped out my immune system and made it harder for me to fight off the cold.

@sadtoday21 Thanks - scan is tomorrow morning. It will be whatever it will be 🀞

Sorry to anyone I missed - I really appreciate the support ladies x

Starcrossed0511 · 20/08/2019 11:50

Hiya,

I'm Delly and I had 6MC's last one my little "Sausage Roll's" heart stopped at 101/2 weeks :(

I am lucky in the the fact I had 2 boys where MC was a distant worry, 4 and 8 but since I'm older at 37 getting #3 to finish line seems tricky!

I'm happily pregnant again sitting at 7 1/2 weeks with "Steak Bake" (all my nicknames are food based my first was "Pudding" as he was due at Christmas and my 2nd was "Beanie Pie"

I usually have my babies a month early so with an EDD of 3/4/20 I hoped I could hop in here! Look forward to reading thorough this and getting to know you all! Feels weird doing this again!

Delly xx

TinyPaws · 20/08/2019 12:19

5+2 today and just started bleeding again. So miserable. The last 2 weeks has literally crawled and now it looks like I might not even make it to my scan.

rubyroot · 20/08/2019 12:35

@TinyPaws I'm so sorry you're bleeding. @sadtoday21 scan at ten weeks in a week and nipt test. Panic over (a bit) the pains went, possibly pooh pains. That in itself is worrying me tho as quite soft this morning and although it was soft before my 6 week scan I'm still panicking. My boobs seem to be the smallest they've been so far. I've just no idea what is going on with my body and I know I should just take my own advice, it's normal to fluctuate etc, but I'm a bloody mess.
I'm also panicking because I thought my yolk sac looked quite big at 8 week scan and after what russkipsy went through...
Sonographer said yolk sac was normal, but she didnt really know the research that says abnormal yolk sac = chromosomal abnormalities (which I looked up after russkipsy miscarried).

@fnej01 so you're a fellow prodder! I'm always prodding Grin

Starcrossed0511 · 20/08/2019 13:04

I bled a lot in first 2 pregnancies around this time....you may just have a grumpy cervix, I really hope that is the case for you!!

Navy123 · 20/08/2019 13:22

@Frillyfarmer sorry the nausea got you so bad! We will find out what we are having if we get that far, we found out with DS which was good because I was 100% convinced he was a girl!

@coconutlatte44 the only time I was sick with DS was at about 16 weeks, having felt nauseous for the previous 11. It was a one off so fingers crossed it is for you too!

@Squiff70 glad you had a good scan! How are you feeling about it all now?

@tinatsarina lovely scan, congratulations!

@fnej01 glad your cold is getting better! Nausea is just about manageable most of the time, struggling today though looking after toddler single handed (DH usually works from home so can step in!). Just got to get to 7pm!

@TinyPaws sorry you're bleeding. When is your scan? I know you've said but I've lost track! Fingers crossed it's nothing - bleeding in pregnancy might not be 'normal' but it is common and doesn't always mean the inevitable. Hope you can get some rest and look after yourself.

MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue · 20/08/2019 13:24

@rubyroot I'm sorry you're panicking. It's so hard when we hear something or read something and it sparks our anxiety, however I do think if there was a problem your sonographer would have said. Even if it was to advise a follow up scan. Keeping all crossed for you lovely xxx

Will be thinking of you tomorrow @fnej01. What time is your scan?

Welcome @Starcrossed0511. I love your goody names! Steak bake is brilliant! My daughter was nicknamed Little Mushroom when I was pregnant and DH and I have been referring to this little one as New Potato πŸ˜‚ I'm 37 next month so understand your worries. I'm also sorry for everything you've been through. This is a great group so you're in the right place xxx

@TinyPaws I'm so sorry to read your update. Is the bleeding heavy or just when wiping? I bled loads in DD pregnancy and she is now 2.7, it really could just be the baby bedding in. When is your scan? Big hugs xxx

Starcrossed0511 · 20/08/2019 13:58

@MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue I seem to be on a Gregg's tip the last couple of pregnancies, craving all that is pastry based! LOL

@TinyPaws my last comment was directed at you! I had a lot of bleeding with my second son early on due to a grumpy cervix, it was always worse when I'd been BM (sorry TMI)
I will keep everything crossed for a positive outcome!

I'm getting nervous about my appt on Friday as I have lupus, 3 MCs on the bounce and I'm an old fart! I should be 8 weeks and hoping to see a tiny cashew nut! I saw "Steak Bake" last week and they seemed happy enough with regular HB but it's so precarious at this stage! I've not really attached myself like last time though, not sure I will until I'm past 24 weeks....

Anyway here's to getting to the end....seriously a stressful time and it's a time Gin isn't allowed....seriously this is some sort of life design floor....posh fevertree coke it is then LOL
