@lonelyonee yes will be our first baby if we have a sticky one in there this time 🤞

How are we all doing ladies?

TMI but my bowels are working overtime. The amount of wind I have is crazy! And I’m using the bathroom 3/4 times a day for a No.2

DP took me to asda yesterday and I was like a child in a candy shop in the fake cheese section - cheese strings and dairylea triangles and slices and YUM. Oh and sweet and salted popcorn!

becca3210 · 20/07/2019 07:30

Hi ladies can I join? Got my bfp yesterday after 7 months of TTC so am over the moon and still in slight shock! Am 3 weeks 6 due 29/03 approx. Boobs tender no nausea as yet.

First baby 4 weeks March 2020 babies!
Keyboard91 · 20/07/2019 07:57

Welcome @becca3210 :) I’m 4+2 today xx

becca3210 · 20/07/2019 08:27

Thanks @Keyboard91 we are similar dates then! That’s funny about all the fake cheese cravings! Wonder if I will get any cravings. Slightly nervous reading all of the nausea posts as go on a residential holiday with a group of children for a week on Fri will be really tough if I am vomiting!! 😂

lonelyonee · 20/07/2019 08:29

Fingers crossed for lots of sticky babies! 🤞🏻I'm 4 + 0 today.
What apps are you ladies using? I've got ovia & pregnancy + atm which are quite different but I want to cover all the bases.

Crumble2020 · 20/07/2019 08:49

I’ve got ‘Flo’, used it for TTC as well. It shows you a nice little image of what it currently looks like and some health advice for current situation. Although it was trying to tell me not to eat ginger and I’m living of ginger tea at the moment so I’m ignoring that! What do the other apps do?
A booked I’ve absolutely loved is ‘Expecting Better’ - author is an economist who takes a look at all the research and explains whether it’s a good source or not. She outlines the risks associated with each thing so one can make an informed decision based on pro/cons.

Keyboard91 · 20/07/2019 08:51

@becca3210 hopefully you will be okay. I had a few short green round the gills moments but nothing more than that. Lots of women don’t get any, and other don’t get anything until at least 6 weeks so 🤞 I’m nervous about September as we have 3 days of inset (all crammed into lecture theatres) and I’m mentoring a new member of staff involving lunch and evening drinks reception. Hoping I’ll be over the worst by then as I’ll be just over 10 weeks.

@lonelyonee I have those two plus the bounty app - it tells you about freebies and has some nice articles etc. I’m looking forward to hitting 8 weeks when it starts talking about teeny tiny hands and feet! 🤞

Keyboard91 · 20/07/2019 08:53

@Crumble2020 I have that book and the how to grow a baby and push it out one - it’s written in lovely plain English :) Pregnancy plus and ovia will do similar things to the Flo one - they just all look slightly different and present information in a slightly different way

Lea89 · 20/07/2019 09:13

Morning ladies..

Morning to all the new ladies and congratulations! I’m 5+2 today and still exhausted and boobs are so tender. Finding sleeping uncomfortable because I go to sleep on my front but my boobs stop me as there so painfully tender. Don’t have any cravings but I didn’t in my first pregnancy with DS and had no sickness either.

I had a little cry last night when I put my son to bed (he’s 5) hoping that this time my pregnancy goes well because he would love a little brother or sister. (My son was fast asleep when I got emotional).

I also used the Flo app to conceive and I also have the Pregnancy+ app.

Lots of love to you all xxx

Minimemakesthree · 20/07/2019 09:32

Hi ladies

Only just joined up but I'm 6 weeks today with my first little one.....eek!! Mood varies between absolutely petrified with little moments of excitement but mainly just feel incredibly nauseous! I suffered with acid reflux before pregnancy but my word it's hit with a vengeance now which I'm sure makes the morning sickness worse 🤢 my OH just keeps saying "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" I keep telling him to stop being silly this is all just normal....but when I see him tucking into something tasty for tea there are rare moments where I think "yes you should be sorry" 😂

I used about 3 different apps (Flo, Clue and P Tracker) as various friends would recommend one then another would say that was useless and would recommend another 😂 think OH is slightly shocked how quickly it all happened and I keep doing that whole "are you happy? Are you sure you're happy?" thing....it's going to be a loooooong 9 months!

I've read pretty much every article on earth about morning sickness (slight obsession in that it's a real phobia and something which put me off trying for a long while) and can't get something I read about weeks 6 onwards being worst for morning sickness.....I can't bear the thought of it getting worse 🙈 we haven't told anyone yet and I'm finding trying to hide it from family and work colleagues quite stressful.

Anyway congratulations to you all on your pregnancies 😊 here's hoping we all have happy, healthy journeys (once this godawful morning sickness passes!)

Mrskcam · 20/07/2019 19:08

My bloat is so unreal it looks like I'm showing already although I know I'm not 😂 anyone else?

Minimemakesthree · 20/07/2019 20:25

@Mrskcam I'm the same! I mean I do not and never had had an even vaguely flat stomach but I feel SO huge right now! I feel like I should look the whole 9 months pregnant not just 6 weeks 🙈

Keyboard91 · 20/07/2019 20:59

@Mrskcam @minimemakesthree omg yes! I am not one to wear tight jeans, I live in leggings and dresses ... I’ve had to keep adjusting where my legging waistband is because it’s uncomfortable! Making me really self conscious too. It’s from just below my bust all the way down so looks like a full blown bump too 🙈🤦‍♀️

Minimemakesthree · 20/07/2019 21:04

@Keyboard91 yes!!!! I have a bump there anyway (I'm a chunky monkey 😳) but I'm in so much discomfort in that area. I had a long drive yesterday and was wearing high waisted leggings for comfort but has to keep rearranging them to take the pressure off!

I also have the worst heartburn ever, convinced that's making my morning sickness even worse!

Keyboard91 · 20/07/2019 21:10

@minimemakesthree I’m a chunky woman too! Seriously debating whether to buy maternity leggings for some relief!

Rennies are your friend ... I have found the fruit ones are easier to chew when feeling green!

Minimemakesthree · 20/07/2019 21:25

@keyboard91 thanks for the tip; I asked my boyfriend to get me some yesterday but they hadn't got any so he bought gaviscon tablets. Chewing them makes me feel so sick they're huge 🤢

I too had debated maternity leggings but thought I was being silly! But maybe not!

mumof3plusbean · 20/07/2019 21:32

Hi all, I got my bfp on friday, I am 4+2 by my dates.
Kind of excited and also nervous about number 4!
I haven't told anyone yet... not even OH!

Cantrip · 20/07/2019 21:50

@mumof3plusbean - congratulations! Are you going to keep it to yourself for long?! Only my DH knows so far (I’m 5+6 with number 5) but I’m bursting to tell people (particularly my other kids!). Gonna try to keep it secret til we see a heartbeat at least tho 😬

mumof3plusbean · 20/07/2019 22:05

He is working away so I want to tell him when he gets back.... we were thinking about having number 4.... then had a whoopsie and I said 'ah it will probably be fine anyway' haha famous last words!

I won't tell anyone else including kids till after 12 weeks. Bit worried how everyone will react as its number 4!
I feel 'normal' still at the moment but have previously got sickness from about 6 weeks onwards really bad... so I know its coming.
I'm due 26th March, last baby I had the most amazing homebirth, so hoping for another.

Nadeynade · 20/07/2019 22:19

Hi ladies. I am 4 weeks today. First baby so excited but also scared as I’ve been having quite a bit of cramping and some brown spotting. Also got slightly sensitive boobs but other than that I feel fine.

Minimemakesthree · 20/07/2019 22:22

Congratulations @mumof3plusbean! I'm sure people will be thrilled to hear your news! When's your OH home?

I admire anyone who goes through this more than once. I feel so ill tonight, and fear it's only going to get worse from this point in, and can't stop crying! So anyone who does this even once has my utmost respect! 🤢

lonelyonee · 20/07/2019 22:57

@Crumble2020 I like ovia as you can put all of your symptoms in and it gives you little notes about what they could mean.
Pregnancy + has really realistic pictures of baby week by week which is really cool. Some screenshots attached so you can see
@Keyboard91 ooo I'll have to download that bounty one then!
@Nadeynade me too!! 4+0 today! Mental!
@mumof3plusbean wow you're a trooper, this is my first so I'm completely clueless atm but feel like I need to learn quick! Good luck with telling your OH I'm sure he'll be thrilled!
@Minimemakesthree me too, I'm crying over anything atm, DP thinks it's funny which doesn't help when you're hysterically crying over stupid things haha. He also didn't believe it was happening until he saw the clearblue digital. I'm also not looking forward to work on Monday... I tend to spend a lot of time making coffees etc... and this morning even the word coffee made me gag 😰 I give it 2 hours before someone guesses haha!
@Mrskcam I'm not experiencing the bloat at all tbh I'm actually shocked how flat my stomach looks in general! Won't be this way for long though!

I'm so impatient I swear I just want to fast forward to 12 weeks so we can feel better about everything, tell more people and start buying! DP will go mental if I buy anything before then as he's paranoid.

Ella1980 · 20/07/2019 23:10

Found out yesterday I am pregnant-a complete shock as I was on the mini pill and taking it religiously. Had a bleed a few days ago (hence suspicion re irregular period so thought I should test to be 100% sure) and def positive.
Still in shock tbh. I have two boys from my previous marriage age 9 and almost 12 (shared care, we have them exactly 50:50). If everything is OK this will be my fiancé's first baby.

Ella1980 · 20/07/2019 23:11

PS. I'm 38 so an older mum lol 😊

becca3210 · 21/07/2019 06:56

Sunday morning and awake since half six hope this not going to be a continuing pregnancy thing! Feel ok think maybe is just because I am still excited and thinking about it! @Keyboard91 sorry to hear you have been through a tough time hope you get an NHS scan.
