@Keyboard91 Awwww yay and glad they've noted all that down for you, should help you get the best care!

My GP doesn't refer you, you have to do it yourself, so I haven't done it yet, bit nervous for it to all become real!

I lived on indigestion relief in my last pregnancy 🤣

Crumble2020 · 18/07/2019 14:34

The NHS website is full of comments that we get an hour long ‘booking appointment’ with GP/ midwife when we register but the receptionist told me that, no- I only get 10mins. What happened on your first appointment if anyone’s had one yet?

Cantrip · 18/07/2019 14:49

@crumble2020 - I just had a booking in appointment today (ridiculously early as I’m only 5+4!) and I was in there over 90 minutes.

My obstetric history is very complicated though, and I’m classed as high risk for about 7 different reasons. I imagine that the average booking in is significantly simpler and therefore shorter.

As well as taking all my history, they did height, weight, bloods, blood pressure and a urine sample.

Very pleased with my progression line! First picture was taken 10 days ago and second was taken today the positive line is darker than the test line haha! Just so happy to share my BFPGrin

I’m too scared to do another test incase the line is lighter, that will panic me so I’m not doing it!

On the other hand I don’t think I can wait until 5th August for my first scan.. it’s killing me not knowing. I would book an earlier one but I know my OH will say to wait xx

emmab96 · 18/07/2019 15:48

@Lea89 I know the first 12 weeks are so scary and they just seem like they last foreverConfused I keep finding myself checking tissue but we just have to try not to worry and just take each day as it comes but the test has really put my mind at ease for now! Haha

Keyboard91 · 18/07/2019 16:28

@emmab96 nice progression! Mine has gone from a REAL squinter on Sunday to this today :)

@Lea89 I know what you mean, I won’t get a scan until end of August/Sept on the NHS 😱 I simply can’t wait that long! Plus time is dragging so much. Don’t know if it’s the pregnancy or because I’m home all the time (teacher ... actively avoiding her summer work to-do list and house to-do list!)

Ladies, are you hungry? I’m constantly hungry today. Like ready for a meal, hungry. But I can’t snack when my body tells me as I am a bigger girl so need to minimise weigh gain ... but still I’m hungry 🙄 Snack ideas?

Lea89 · 18/07/2019 17:11

I suppose I should be thankful that I’m getting an early scan on the 5th August with EPU but it still seems so far away 😩😩 xx

SLT90 · 18/07/2019 17:21

I phoned my GP and they said to fill out a self-referral form to midwifery at my local hospital, I'm hoping to send the form tomorrow if I can get it printed tonight!
I'm 5 weeks today according to the apps. The diagrams make baby look like a bit like a prawn this week it seems 😂😂😂😂
Feeling good today! Do seem to be extra hungry though, stomach has been growling for more food since about 2pm! Trying not to eat more than usual but it is hard!!!

Lea89 · 18/07/2019 18:31

@SLT90 I’m 5 week today too!! Xx

SLT90 · 18/07/2019 18:36

@Lea89 are you due 20th March too? 😊

Lea89 · 18/07/2019 19:30

@SLT90 Mine says 19th March.. weirdly if we’re both 5 weeks today lol xx

emmab96 · 18/07/2019 19:47

@Keyboard91 yes omg! I keep finding I'm hungry all the time and if I don't eat I feel sick and I get really cranky maybe I'll have to look up some snack ideas haha I've heard fresh fruit is good?

Keyboard91 · 18/07/2019 19:50

@emmab96 I just ugly cried on my DP because we ran out of dairylea triangles 😂🤦‍♀️ I am going to get some popcorn (low cal), cheese strings/baby bel (calcium and protein), asparagus (to dip in garlic sauce) and some satsumas in the morning 😍

Crumble2020 · 18/07/2019 20:06

Ok, I’ll quiz the GP receptionist more then. I got an early scan at the Early Pregancy clinic as I had some symptoms that caused me concerns and getting another one in 2 weeks as they couldn’t find a heartbeat yet (they don’t discharge you until they see one apparently). There’s not much to see - just a little blob! Was reassuring to see he/she was in the right place though.

Lea89 · 18/07/2019 20:55

Oh my god girls I am suffering baaaddd with indigestion! I had it last night but didn’t know what it was as I NEVER suffer from it. Just half way taking the dog for a walk and it came on again and that’s when DH said ‘it’s indigestion’ just made a quick dash to Morrison’s for Rennies and Mint Gaviscon xx

emmab96 · 18/07/2019 21:00

@Keyboard91 oh that's so funny I did the same when we ran out of appletiser I'm obsessed with it at the moment haha & asparagus and garlic sauce sounds very nice

emmab96 · 18/07/2019 21:03

@Crumble2020 yeah I was told it's totally normal to not see a heartbeat if you're still early I'm 5 +4 weeks pregnant and had an early scan they only saw a sac and yolk but said everything is measuring as it should so nervous waiting the two weeks for a heartbeat thoughConfused

Mrskcam · 18/07/2019 21:22

I've seemed to pick up one of the less attractive symptoms ... round ligament pain... why has it got to be hay fever season I can't stop sneezing and I get a stabbing pain every time I do 😩 apparently it's quite common though

Mrskcam · 18/07/2019 23:54

Bout to do another test as I've noticed some of my symptoms like my sore boobs seem to be significantly less or gone tonight. Starting to worry so gonna see if the line has gotten any lighter at all

Mrskcam · 19/07/2019 00:18

I can go to sleep peacefully now, my line is darker than before so feeling happy

Hope it's okay if I hop on. Got my BFP last night and backed it up this morning with further tests. Can't quite believe it!
According to my apps I'm due 28/29th March Smile
(First test was cheap dip test, then did FRER then Clearblue digital this morning).

@Mrskcam I’m glad you found some comfort in another test. I find my symptoms can come and go a little which freaks me out too.

Welcome @lonelyonee - I’m due March 26th according to apps so we are fairly similar :)

lonelyonee · 20/07/2019 00:08

@Keyboard91 oh yay is this your first? It is mine, I have no idea what to expect so looking for all the support I can get really! Plus it's nice to share & compare with other ladies Smile

emmab96 · 20/07/2019 00:16

@Mrskcam I literally just sneezed reading that post and I get the same Sharp pain it worried me until I read about it and it's totally normal I get it if I move fast in a certain way tooConfused
