Please share your unusual pregnancy symptoms

Hi everyone. Just thought I'd start a thread as I'm feeling a little sorry for myself through this pregnancy. Currently 26 weeks and I've had the usual pregnancy symptoms but I've also had some rather unusual ones too. So far I've had 3 days worth of hives at around 10 weeks, cystitis 3 times (first time was how I found out as pharmacist recommended I test), I have a really bad case of pregnancy mask covering my forehead and around my eyes and this week I've randomly developed the hugest mouth ulcer on the side of my tongue which is making talking (lucky DH) and eating rather unpleasant (while I'm also at the point of being constantly starving). I understand I'm lucky to be able to have another baby and everything but sometes we just need a moan right? Anyone else having some strange/unpleasant symptoms? Feel free to share (and moan if you want to) to a sympathetic ear.

Random single hiccups out of no where

Very slow growing leg hair

Went off all hot drinks completely

Sneezing, repeatedly and regularly. I’m not congested, just...sneezy!

Not pregnant now as dd is 8 months but I had terrible insomnia that started at 6 weeks and lasted until the day I gave birth,was up for the day at 2am every morning

For some reason body hair seemed to grow really quickly on one side of my body but barely at all on the other side One eyebrow I was plucking 4 times a week the other side I think I did 3 times the entire pregnancy and the same with the matching leg but shaving

I also lost all sense of taste at about 20 weeks and could eat really spicy food without really tasting any heat which I’ve never been able to do, normal food became completely bland and tasteless!

@Queenofpain I want that symptom!!! Although atm I can't even think about sex. Completely off it.

My right ear gets blocked. Feels like half my head is underwater. Drooling in my sleep - pillow is soaked in the morning! Vivid sex dreams...

My last pregnancy, I went off chocolate .. it literally tasted awful. I was genuinely concerned I’d never like it again!

I had horrible teeth/gums. They bled everyday, I got two ulcers under the gums, my pushing through wisdom tooth got infected 3 times and my teeth turned yellow! Not so pleasant! My teeth are still more yellow than they used to be, I hate it!

OP- you sound like you are having a rough time, you poor thing! I hope things drastically improve!

I’ve just found out I’m expecting no.2.. I’m feeling really nervous about the impending first trimester I really struggled last time!

Intense craving for sponges. Started with chewing little pieces, then chewing big pieces, then shoving a whole kitchen sponge in my mouth and rubbing my tongue with the scouring side. In the end I wanted to just plain EAT them and if I didn't have a baby in my belly I surely would have

@bobb1n my last pregnancy I craved soil. Took so much willpower not to give in!

Hyperpigmentation. Hormones....It's where parts of my skin develop dark patches. It's unbelievably irritating as with my second pregnancy it was on my top lip, looked like I needed a shave! Thankfully, this time it's across the top of my forehead. They disappear around a year after pregnancy.

My hands smelt like vegetables 🤦🏻‍♀️ like literally vegetables no matter how many times I washed them 😂😂

I've been remembering my dreams when I never have before

Hairy belly, nosebleeds, constantly stuffy nose

Hair fell out of my arms and legs. Totally bald as if waxed for the duration. Other hairy places unaffected.

I now have a newborn and stubbly limbs. It happened on both of my pregnancies.

Wind 😢so much wind

I have somehow turned into chewbaca ... my tummy and tops of my thighs are SO HAIRY.

Also having random, single hiccups that hurt my chest

GAS... like... seriously....

Not being able to stand the smell of my partner (I can't even tell you what he smells like lol!)

Constant sneezing and nose bleeds!

The usual nausea tiredness etc

Hiccups - did suspect but only thought I might be right reading others have had it!
I'm suddenly more sweaty and away if my odour, the last few days I have showered multiple times a day and I never smell normally not even in a heatwave 😩 ...so glamorous!

@Abi58 I know what you mean about being aware of your body odour ... I'm the same! Other half assured me I don't smell as bad as I think though and he is the brutally honest type who would say lol! Think our noses are just so sensitive!

The last few days I've been constantly nauseous dizzy and feel cold (like I want to have a blanket). 😭

Burping! In three of my pregnancies it’s been one of the first symptoms and doesn’t go away until after I give birth.

The first thing I noticed before I even took a test was I went for a wax before a holiday and it just didn't really hurt. Went home and epilated my legs and underarms and again no pain ( usually I'm wincing!)

Also having random single hiccups.

My nails bruised. Every fingernail, out of nowhere, no injury or bumps or anything. It was agony for a week then disappeared and never happened again.

Itchy nips!
