Makes comment on the size of my bump, I won't be held responsible for my actions... 🥊 😂

Thinking of getting a t shirt printed saying:

Nope, just the one in there.

No I'm not due today I still have 7 weeks to go.

Yes I'm hot.

Yes I'm uncomfortable.

Yes I'm well aware I am huge but thanks for pointing it out.

Yes it does look like she's going to be a big baby but actually she's measuring smack bang in the middle of the percentile lines. Thanks though.

I think your t shirt plan is restrained. I’m 37 weeks pregnant and baby is already 9lbs. I may start swearing at people. Yes, I have fucking realised that I have a big bump and an enormous baby, funnily enough so has the consultant and other medical staff.

Even DH told me I looked very pregnant. He has known for 29 weeks and we live in the same house. He said it like he hadn’t fucking noticed.

Sorry for the rant I’m exhausted and fed up.

NervousBFP · 07/07/2019 10:09

Can I put an order in for one of your tshirts please in XXXXL I'm tempted to start just lying to people and telling them it is twins.

SRK16 · 07/07/2019 10:14

People don’t even try to hide their shock when I tell them I’ve got 11 weeks to go. ‘Is it twins or triplets?!’
Piss off.

Triskaidekaphilia · 07/07/2019 11:36

My bump suddenly got huge around 30 weeks and everyone at work was making these comments. Around that time baby was on the 95th centile (dropped slightly since but still huge) I was considering putting up a facebook status saying "yes I'm huge, yes the baby is huge, no I'm not 'about to pop' and no it's not twins" Grin

Sheep90 · 07/07/2019 11:38

I've been described as 'blooming' at only 9 weeks! Nope, just can't poop 😂

userabcname · 07/07/2019 11:42

Urgh same OP. I'm only 25w and the other day someone said I look "ready to pop!" People are so bloody rude and annoying.

afternoontwee · 07/07/2019 11:54

In exactly the same boat as you! Even my husband is telling people I’m ‘huge’ despite measuring bang on 50th centile on Friday.

WinterRose92 · 07/07/2019 12:02

Same! I have about 8 weeks to go too. I’ll take one of your t shirts please 😫

Angelinthenightx · 07/07/2019 12:44

Im 22wks & people say im big , a few nasty comments like "oh your going to have a big boy", i said" im having a girl and my heaviest baby was 6lbs 1onz ",she said "they have that wrong" . My scans are done by a proper baby doctor ,im on baby no.6 so im totally clued up. People get so weird when someone is pregnant.
enjoy your big bumps everyone bet you all look amazing x

cattaxi · 07/07/2019 12:51

I feel your pain. 3 people said “not long to go” to me on Friday. I’m only 25 weeks, so i’ve Got fucking ages to go you twats 😂

I’m also completely fed up of people saying that I must be hot & opening windows around me. No, I’m not hot and I can open my own bloody windows, thank you!

greystar30 · 07/07/2019 16:40

😂😂 you lot have made me smile with your replies 😄 I'll order a bulk load and @hormonesorDHbeingadick I'll throw a few fuck offs into the wording too 😂😂

motherofcats81 · 07/07/2019 16:49

I'll have one of those please! Even the man in my local newsagent reckons I'm at six months when I'm actually hitting 20 weeks this week. And I'm definitely having a boy apparently 🤷🏻‍♀️

RedSheep73 · 07/07/2019 16:53

Grin That was me. And DD went 11 days past due date, it seemed to go on like that forever. It will pass.

Buddytheelf85 · 07/07/2019 18:25

OP, I couldn’t feel your pain more. 38 weeks here and if one more person asks if I’ve just got the one in there, or observes that it must be awful being so pregnant in this weather, they may receive a punch in the snoot.

In all seriousness, I think it’s because on TV and in films, you rarely see a realistically-sized 9 month pregnant woman. When a woman is supposed to be 9 months pregnant on TV, she’s always the size the average woman would be at about 6 months.

hormonesorDHbeingadick · 07/07/2019 18:31

I’ve calmed down a bit since this morning when I clearly could not even manage to do 37-4=29.

I need this pregnancy to be over soon.

BarryBarryTaylor · 07/07/2019 18:35

Oh I’m with you, it’s actually seriously getting me down. I can’t even laugh about it, I just have to turn away as I feel my eyes fill up with tears when someone says it.

greystar30 · 08/07/2019 06:17

@BarryBarryTaylor I've been the same, nearly cried in the middle of the hairdressers twice Saturday. Had a full on ugly cry to my mum yesterday and am feeling a bit better now!

greystar30 · 08/07/2019 06:18

@Buddytheelf85 that is very true! And they're walking with ease, glowing not sweating and smiling demurely rather than hormonal and swearing 😂

SRK16 · 08/07/2019 19:16

This thread is just what I needed today. Another day of being told how massive I am, how can I possibly have another 3 months to go, what a state my back will be in...
Started feeling like maybe there’s something wrong with me and feeling worried/down about it. Thread is easing that a little. It’s so good to know others are getting the comments and having a similar emotional reaction.

greystar30 · 08/07/2019 19:21

@SRK16 you're most definitely not alone 😊😘 we are all in the large bumped and irritated gang!

OP posts:
Smurfy23 · 08/07/2019 20:54

Can you make me one too please?? I know I am the size of house. I know have 10 weeks to go. Having this conversation 6 times a day every day isnt making that time go any faster.

MrsWeir1980 · 08/07/2019 20:54

Omg people are so insensitive, myself and my work colleague are both pregnant and shes had it the other way around, shes about 25 weeks and people keep saying her bump is really small and its starting to stress her out its such a shame, people should think before they open their gobs!

BarryBarryTaylor · 08/07/2019 21:45

When I went for my midwife appointment last Thursday I actually made a point of asking her if baby was a normal size because of all the bump comments. She said he was totally normal and on track. So next time anyone says anything, I hope I feel confident enough to tell them

Whitelighttrainwreck · 08/07/2019 22:01

I'm in your colleagues gang @MrsWeir1980 I have 9 days left and the amount of people for the past 4weeks that have asked "are you sure?" "that is such a small bump" "no, you have a lot longer left to go" and baby is measuring in the 95th percentile.

JungtheForeman · 08/07/2019 22:53

I was waiting to cross the road (at about 38 weeks) when a coach load of schoolchildren went past (slowly, in heavy traffic) and they were all pointing and laughing at my enormous bump... Blush
Eventually gave birth at just over 42 weeks. 11lbs2oz Shock
