Makes comment on the size of my bump, I won't be held responsible for my actions... 🥊 😂

Thinking of getting a t shirt printed saying:

Nope, just the one in there.

No I'm not due today I still have 7 weeks to go.

Yes I'm hot.

Yes I'm uncomfortable.

Yes I'm well aware I am huge but thanks for pointing it out.

Yes it does look like she's going to be a big baby but actually she's measuring smack bang in the middle of the percentile lines. Thanks though.

LOL I used to want to say, "Yes I know I am huge, that is because I have a large BABY inside me with a GREAT BIG HEAD which has somehow got to make it's way out of a very small hole"

Mrsmummy90 · 08/07/2019 23:11

I'm 37+3 and constantly getting "wow, you must be boiling in this weather". Yes of course I'm fucking boiling!! I don't need every sodding person pointing it out to me. 🙄

Also, random strangers keep saying to me "no sleep for you soon"... I have a 16mo daughter. I don't sleep anyway 🤷‍♀️

Mrsmummy90 · 08/07/2019 23:13

Also, for months people have been telling me how huge I am but baby is measuring really small. I just tell people that my bump is big because yes I'm pregnant but I'm also fat 😁 usually shuts people up

Browniee · 08/07/2019 23:19

A man I worked with told me when I was about 32 weeks that I was “enormous”.
In no other situation would calling someone enormous be ok, yet he thought it was acceptable to say that to a very hormonal pregnant woman. 😒
I still hate him.

greystar30 · 09/07/2019 06:50

@Mrsmummy90 oh the 'you're not gonna get any sleep soon' comments are infuriating too 😡 as if I'm expecting a good 12 hours each night once she's born 🙄

Oooh I'll add another one - neighbour watched me put tantrumming DS in the car this morning (he's 2yo) and said "you must be mad having another!" Um, she has FOUR children....?!

Kathryn19 · 09/07/2019 09:19

I have spent most of my pregnancy being told how little my bump is, how I don't look pregnant blah blah blah. Once I got into the 30s it turned into ohhh you lool really pregnant today! You finally look pregnant! And now it is constant updates on how I'm getting bigger... well I would hope so as the baby should be growing!
I know that people just want to show an interest but can't they think of something else to say, because hearing the same thing over and over again is very boring and I just don't have a good response to "you're bigger every time I see you".....

Mine is on the outside now (and sleeping on my lap as I type) and ARGH this brings it all back.

I always carry huge, I’m short and it’s all out the front. So many comments. Angry When I was 7 months someone at work actually grilled me on it: “but you’re so BIG! That’s really big for 7 months, isn’t it? Don’t you think you’re awful big for 7 months?” What are you even supposed to say to that?

Chinks123 · 09/07/2019 09:37

I’ll have one of those op! 37 weeks now, but I’ve been having the “is it twins” comments for weeks. I can’t even be arsed to think of a witty comeback anymore.

The “ooh you’re due any day surely?” when you’re only in the second trimester is the worst one Grin so glad I can finally say yes only 3 weeks left.

NationMcKinley · 09/07/2019 09:43

My last baby is 6 and I’m never ever having anymore but God do I remember the bloody comments. So fucking annoying. I used to tell people I wasn’t pregnant, just fat (I was roughly the size of a walrus) and fix them with a penetrating look. Bastards.

Congratulations on your baby! Flowers

TwoShades1 · 09/07/2019 09:48

My DP made a comment the other day about me “looking pregnant” I was like wtf? Of course I look pregnant, I am pregnant! For reference he has known as the pregnancy from the start and we live together. He also has 2 children with his ex, so is well aware of what a pregnant woman looks like!

Aneley · 09/07/2019 14:22

16w here and already getting comments about the bump. My MIL literally said 'Oh, wow, you're really pregnant now'... as if I was just pretend pregnant since we told her at EASTER. Also, if I hear just one more 'When I was pregnant...' I may start screaming and breaking things.

Pipo174 · 09/07/2019 14:29

37 weeks now and getting this SO much!
Not helped by the fact I was tiny with my first so people feel the need to compare that too.
"are you sure theres only one in there" said random work associate ! Yes, yes I'm sure...

BarryBarryTaylor · 09/07/2019 15:01

I used to tell people I wasn’t pregnant, just fat (I was roughly the size of a walrus) and fix them with a penetrating look. Bastards.

I wish I was brave enough to say this, it’s definitely how I feel!

Jellybaby13 · 09/07/2019 21:41

Completely in the same boat! 29+3 today but I had to ask at my 28 week midwife appointment if the size of my bump was normal because everyone was commenting on it and yep...it's normal!

I even had one guy call me 'porky'!!! I don't get why people thing that just cause you're pregnant you're up for public judgement!

I laugh it off most of the time while it secretly makes me paranoid cause I don't like to make a fuss but my husband has started to bite back at people to save my feelings Smile

I had the satisfaction of telling one lady a couple of days ago "actually my midwife has measured my bump and it's in the normal range" she looked horrified but this woman had commented several times so I just wanted to be smug about it, not even a colleague or a friend, customer at work!!

Mondayblues7 · 09/07/2019 21:58

I really could have written this myself. I am 33 weeks and am sat here just poking at my legs and grabbing all the cellulite that has formed.

Yes, I was a size 6-8 pre pregnancy and now my arms and legs are huge. I work out every other day, and it's killing me when people.comment

It's just rude!! I have a lot of people thinking it's ok to just touch my bump as well. Errrrr, no. Hands off thanks.

If you make a t shirt, send me one please!!

Mondayblues7 · 09/07/2019 22:01

In my office I get

"God you're fat"

"Careful getting through there you'll get suck! "

" No more.donughts for you"

"How much have you actually gained??"

"How are you going to push that out?"

Heavy vehicle sound effects.

I am 33 weeks and have gained about 1 at 4 lbs. So fuck off!!

Mrsmummy90 · 09/07/2019 22:54

@Mondayblues7 that's awful! I'd go to HR!

Kathryn19 · 09/07/2019 23:40

@Aneley I get exactly that comment at work all the time! So I asked what do you mean, really as opposed to fake pregnant? They then agreed that I could have been pretending until recently. Interesting.....

People are now also treating me like a precious flower now I'm showing more (since about 32 weeks). If I can do my gym classes and cope with my commute, I think I can still manage 3 flights of stairs to get a cup of tea!!

Mondayblues7 · 10/07/2019 13:55

@Mrsmummy90 it's an old school company. No HR. I just shake it off.

Mondayblues7 · 10/07/2019 13:57

I am 10 stone at 33 weeks. I don't think I am a heifer 😂😂
