Good morning ladies, hope your all well!!

I had my 12 week scan yesterday and it was the most surreal amazing 20 minutes of my life, made everything seem so real I just wanted to share my scan photo!!! Baby is really healthy and very active and is measuring at 13 weeks exactly yesterday and due 6th January!

For any ladies going through a miscarriage or trying to conceive after one firstly my heart goes out to you and secondly I went through a miscarriage in march and conceived the following month without a period and everything is looking good!
It does get better and you will get your rainbow baby, don't give up!!!! :) xxx

Congratulations @Millsss such an amazing feeling seeing wee bubs on the scan isn't it! I'm due 9th Jan Smile

MummyBear405 · 02/07/2019 09:01

Yes that bit is super tough! I still have 2 weeks until my 12 week scan and it's dragging but I'm confident little bean is pretty sticky so just excited for the scan and to be able to tell people!!

Millsss · 02/07/2019 09:24

Thanks @RudyRoo congrats to you too! :) So amazing something I will never forget! Were very close in due dates, how are you feeling now almost out the first trimester? X

Millsss · 02/07/2019 09:25

@Mummybear keep yourself busy and it should fly by and then before you know it scan date will be here!! Hope all goes well, you will have to let us know how it goes:)

Can I join! Congratulations mills that’s amazing news. I am v similar to you, miscarriage end of March and then got pregnant again next cycle and now due hopefully end of Jan. Mummy bear I’m the same, 12 week scan in two weeks! Have you paid for an early one?

CatRash · 02/07/2019 12:59

Congratulations!!!

I'm due in January too. If you haven't found it yet there's a big thread over in ante-natal boards and also a secret Facebook group -> www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/3624005-Jan-2020-Thread-5?pg=10&order=

RudyRoo · 02/07/2019 17:27

@Millsss yeah so close! I'm so glad the first trimester is coming to an end, feel more relaxed already and looking forward to exciting things to come...like getting a proper bump and starting to feel baby move. Hope you are doing well 😊

PastaSauceHoarder · 02/07/2019 22:26

Beautiful scan pictures, @Millsss! Smile

I would love to join, this is exactly the sort of thread I've been looking for. My last pregnancy ended mid March at 12 weeks, when we found out the baby had severe hydrops in her lungs, spine and around her brain and had a nuchal translucency of over 8mm (which we later found out was due to Turners Syndrome through a post mortem).

Well it was an incredibly confusing and stressful time but amazingly we fell pregnant again only a few weeks after the induced miscarriage - I had my 12 week scan this morning and to my utter relief everything is looking beautifully normal! Smile I'm 12+3 weeks and due the 11th January. ❤

@MummyBear405 and @tomatan1990, I hope the next two weeks fly by for you!

I'm so excited to finally FEEL excited about this pregnancy, you know? Smile

PastaSauceHoarder · 02/07/2019 22:28

My own little fish at 7 weeks, 10 weeks and 12 weeks. ❤

@PastaSauceHoarder omg your story is incredible, my heart goes out to you and I feel so excited for you to have had the scan and baby is healthy!

The first trimester is just horrendous with keeping it a secret, worrying, feeling crappy really isn't fun at all but we got through it and here we are! Will this be your first? X

OP posts:
Millsss · 03/07/2019 05:22

@RudyRoo yes I am eagerly waiting the bump, I'm just looking fat at the moment which is fun haha!!! I just can't wait to, hopefully, get some energy back!!

MummyBear405 · 03/07/2019 08:16

@Millsss yes work is keeping me very busy so just concentrating on that and not being sick! Confused

@tomatan1990 yay! It's exciting isn't it! I'm so really for the first trimester to be over. We haven't paid for an early scan but I did get a scan with the EPU at 6+4 as I'm diabetic so they felt I was high risk. Saw a tinie tiny heartbeat though so it's all looking good! What day is your scan?

@PastaSauceHoarder Thank you! Grin

PastaSauceHoarder · 03/07/2019 08:20

Thank you @Millsss, I feel like I've won the lottery. ❤
This will be my second, what about you? Smile I already have a beautiful little girl who turned 2 last month - she came into the scan room with us yesterday and got to see her baby brother/sister and hear the heartbeat!

Have you told anyone yet? I'm going to tell my family this afternoon, they're going to be thrilled after what happened last time. I'm hoping no-one already suspects but as you said the first trimester is horrendous and its hard to hide it! Wink

Millsss · 03/07/2019 08:31

@PastaSauceHoarder bless you feel so lucky aswell!! 😍
Ahh that's a nice age gap you will have, this will be my first so all very new to me, trying to embrace it all but the nausea sort of ruins it!
Ahhhh that's so sweet, I bet she was really excited!!

Yeah we told everyone on Monday after the scan, a few had an idea but most were surprised, going to tell my grandma at the weekend, she will be over the moon!!!
Hope you have a lovely day telling everyone, such a special moment 💜

Congrats ladies, didn't want to read and run - wanted to let you know this thread is making me so happy and hopeful! I also had a miscarriage at 9 weeks (first baby) beginning of June. Just waiting for my period to start in 2 weeks and I sooooo hope we will conceive quickly after this!

Waiting is torture!

PastaSauceHoarder · 03/07/2019 09:15

All the luck in the world to you @SunStruck, I hope you you end up having a very successful TWW! Smile

Hows your morning sickness been, @Millsss? My sickness with my daughter and the last pregnancy (also a female) were awful, every single day and multiple times a day! This time I'm still getting it but way less and its a lot more manageable. Smile

tomatan1990 · 03/07/2019 09:15

@MummyBear405 I’ve paid for two scans already at 7 and 8w4d, I actually found it only reassuring for a short time afterwards so just trying to hang on for my 12 week now which is on the 17th, when’s yours?

It’s such a nerve wracking time on top of being exhausting anyway! Anyone else struggle to do their trousers up at ten weeks?! I have bought some summer dresses this week hopefully with a bit more stomach room!

Millsss · 03/07/2019 09:21

@SunStruck my heart goes out to you and sending you hugs!!
I was obsessed with success stories like these whilst I was going through my miscarriage so I'm glad you can find comfort in it! It will happen for you and as long as your ready start trying as soon as you get a negative test and the bleeding as passed! Wishing you all the luck in the world!!!! 💜💜💜

Millsss · 03/07/2019 09:24

@PastaSauceHoarder between 6-8 weeks i was throwing up at least twice a day and then it was just dry heaving and gagging, it's calmed down alot, it's just waves of nausea that hit me out of no where!!
Ooooo that's interesting, maybe it's a boy?! 💙💙💙

OP posts:
MummyBear405 · 03/07/2019 09:24

@tomatan1990 I've kind of resigned myself to 'what will be will be' - my mum had 2 miscarriages before she fell pregnant with me, although it's hard for her to talk about she believes those babies weren't for her and if she hadn't gone through that she wouldn't have me which I found oddly comforting. I'm just concentrating on looking after myself and pushing through to the scan, see what happens! Worrying won't change anything so I wasn't really interested in early scans. Mine's the 17th too!! Smile

Great trick someone told me was use a thin hair bobble to keep your jeans done up without having to button them up ... literal life saver when I'm super bloated, I also bought some floaty tops to cover it!

Millsss · 03/07/2019 09:33

I am living in leggins and floaty tops, also got a few floaty summer dresses! Such an awkward stage because my clothes don't fit but not big enough for maternity yet!!!! Also I get more bloated as the day goes on so got to cater for that aswell haha!!! Wouldn't have it any other way though 💜

I feel the same and trying hard just to keep busy! Have you had a midwife appointment yet? I have had quite a bit of brown spotting this time which worried me a lot but midwife wasn’t at all interested!
Yes the hair bobble is a good idea I have been using that!
