Im 12+2 so early days but I’ve seen a nearly new bargain on Facebook and seems too good to miss! But I feel it’s way too soon! My friend can store it (superstition!!). Just thinking I’m getting ahead of myself. I’ll be a single mum so need to make savings where possible and this would be my biggest purchase I’d be saving on. Xx

I bought mine at about five months purely because it was cheap in the sale. If you can get a bargain then grab it!

happyhillock · 28/06/2019 16:32

When i was 6 mths, my mum and dad bought it and kept it at there house

Starlight84 · 28/06/2019 16:35

@AriadneesWeb I think I’ll regret it if I don’t. It’s a nice colour for a boy or girl. Xx

If you like it, want it, it's a bargain and it can be stored go for it!
There's no harm in starting to get yourself ready now.

Kanga83 · 28/06/2019 16:43

I bought at 4 or 5 months when I saw it and price matched it to fab price.

Starlight84 · 28/06/2019 16:44

@BobTheFishermansWife this is what I am thinking. I will possibly have my section in December so if I could get this out the way and at a bargain price I’ll be happy!! I have a Moses basket and cot from before. So this is like the biggy I only need to get. X

letsrunfar · 28/06/2019 16:56

100% true story, we got our pram for 2nd dc a week after birth! We borrowed a car seat to get little one home.
We were waiting for January sales!

bourbonbiccy · 28/06/2019 16:57

If you can get a good deal, I would definitely get it xx

HereForAdvice2019 · 28/06/2019 17:05

Got mine, well. Ordered it at 12 weeks as soon as had scan.
Dd is only 15.and kept it so have it already

Xyzzzzz · 28/06/2019 17:11

I’m 33 weeks and just bought it only cause it was on sale too.

Just keep an eye out for sales.

InDreamland · 28/06/2019 18:12

I've had 2 miscarriages so won't be buying much until if baby arrives. Only things I will get before birth is absolute essentials and they will be last minute.

If you're confident and happy to buy early to make savings go for it.

Starlight84 · 29/06/2019 07:50

I’m going to look at it tomorrow :) check I like it, it’s high enough as I’m quite tall and that it does the job. If I’m happy I’ll get it and take it to my friends. It’s grey colour so unisex which is good xx

@InDreamland I had 2 mc before my 2 children and I was the same. Left everything until last min. This time I’ve got an 11yr age gap and want to be on the ball. Wasn’t planning on doing this alone but that’s how it seems to have panned out. If I see bargains I’ll have to grab them I think xx

Yep, deffo grab a bargain. We got ours when i was about 13/14 weeks i think... I'm not superstitious though and it's in the garage out the way.

It was the one i wanted and they threw the car seat in for free soooo! Plus i just hate waiting around.

soundsystem · 29/06/2019 10:20

I would do it! We got ours fairly early on as we also found a bargain. Like you, I stored it at someone else's house - my DH thought I was nuts!

Starlight84 · 29/06/2019 10:41

Hope its as good as it looks in the pics 😁 xx

Well, I'm the crazy lady who ordered hers at 5 weeks because it was on sale.

It was my OH that pushed me to do it really, since he agreed it! It's not a pram on the cheaper end of the scale so I wasn't going to say no in case I couldn't get him to agree again later!

Isleepinahedgefund · 29/06/2019 11:14

After you have the baby. So many prams end up being a complete waste of money because they're cumbersome and impractical when you're actually using them. You'll make a much better choice if you wait!

Starlight84 · 29/06/2019 11:32

@Isleepinahedgefund I’ll be having a section so I won’t wait until after the baby. The first 6 weeks is a write off really. Don’t want to be recovering from a section on my own and choosing a pram! Plus my other children to think about. Nice idea though if it would be straightforward xx

With my son I had mine from 6 weeks as my friend gave me hers, and with this baby I picked one up at 10 weeks as I was saving £80. Things will be what they’re meant to be xx

BertieBotts · 29/06/2019 15:59

It's her second, hedgefund, so she will already know what features she wants! I'd agree if it was a first baby.

I wouldn't have any problems storing it at my own house either.

qj17 · 29/06/2019 16:26

I ordered ours at about 27 weeks. Picked it up at 35 weeks.

Giraffe888 · 29/06/2019 21:53

Another crazy one who bought it at 4wks as it was Black Friday!
