Getting awful heartburn, anyone know if Rennies are safe to take during pregnancy?

Thanks

Rennies/remegel fine for low grade stuff but gaviscon works differently and is more effective (but also more gross). Ranitidine is the next one up and has made a big difference for me.

You can get Peptac liquid over the counter at pharmacists for about £4 a massive bottle, it's the same as gaviscon without the marketing and saves trying to get a prescription. The liquid makes me gag but my DP has been using it and says it's good!

Not that Gaviscon is on prescription, it's just it's so expensive I can see why people might prefer to use their exemption card than pay for it.

thanks for this tip I can't take Rennie's on the anti nausea meds I've been prescribed for sickness so if they work it'll be a huge help

If they work in exactly the same way surely refreshers will be contra indicated too?

I didn't think of that maybe I won't try them without speaking to the dr first.

I do find sucking a mint helps a little and staying upright too.
