Helen
Helena
Esther
Stella
Isla

lots of Sophies and Jessicas about, although they are nice names.

JoanCrawford · 20/07/2007 12:59

My favourite in your list is Imogen.

All are nice, think Imogen is the least common.(?)

Like Summer too, very pretty. The fact that it is now a character name in EastEnders does tarnish it somewhat though.

mum2sam · 20/07/2007 13:00

yeah i did like isla as i thought that was unusual-was thinking of jessie as will prob shorten it to that any how

JoanCrawford · 20/07/2007 13:00

Yes, Isla is lovely.

Dawn2820 · 20/07/2007 13:00

girls names are easier then boys

surname maybe helpful

mum2sam · 20/07/2007 13:01

yeah i agree i liked summer before that and then she sort of ruined it for me. Even though this baby will be born around xmas do you think i could still call it summer?

Can you tell I find girls names easy...

devonsmummy · 20/07/2007 13:04

How about Darcie or Amelie? I went to school with a Kizzie which is girlie but maybe a bit too different

devonsmummy · 20/07/2007 13:06

i think from your list Jessie goes well with Samuel

JARM · 20/07/2007 13:07

I have a Jessica and a Rebecca, and if DC3 is a girl, will be Emma

ivykaty44 · 20/07/2007 13:08

Hi

I also like Imogen - but Libby gets my vote as the name is not common and will stay as Libby, you cant really shorten it or lenghten it.

RGPargy · 20/07/2007 13:09

Imogen is the only one i like out of your list, mum2sam.

nappyaddict · 20/07/2007 13:10

have a look on this thread. loads of ideas on here

nappyaddict · 20/07/2007 13:10

i know a libby. she gets called libs.

pucca · 20/07/2007 13:12

I like Imogen and Lucie best, not too common but still nice classic names.

I think girls names as so much easier to pick as more to choose from, now boys i found a nightmare as not really many nice ones to pick from.

elesbells · 20/07/2007 13:15

Imogen is lovely. i have three girls
robyn she is 18 now and was quite rare when i had her.
i have leighane and erin

TheMuppetMuggle · 20/07/2007 13:17

I like Imogen & libby out of your list.
I had both on my short list for my DD but settled on Darcie

MrsScavo · 20/07/2007 13:26

Lara.

hayley2u · 20/07/2007 14:18

ithink i am callng my little girl lucy(lucinda) but also love the name imogen its so pretty. bit worried as my surnmae is lawrenson
does lucy lawrenson sound ok. plus any suggestions on middle names i would like her to have 2 middle names as i have

funnypeevesculiar · 20/07/2007 14:24

I know LOADS of Imogens - common as muck round here
Really like Libby - but would prob call Olivia & shorten, personally.

Tinker · 20/07/2007 14:25

Find girls names really easy - just too many for number of kids I want.

Like your first 3

MrsBadger · 20/07/2007 14:27

I think you're onto a loser with Sophie if you want something not too popular - has been in the top 6 for the last 5 years. Am also wary of the Sam-and-Sophie matching pair.

I've avoided names that start with the same sound/letter as our surname but I can't quite say logically why.

Susanna?
Phillipa?
Helena?
