@MummyBearBoo period like stomach cramps are perfectly normal! They should go away I'd you put a bit of heat on your stomach or take some.paracetamol If they get really bad so as j cant control them and you get any blood go see a dr.

ohdearymemumof3 · 07/05/2019 21:27

I had bad period like cramps at 4 weeks, they woke me up in the night and hurt so much i couldn't go to sleep. But they only lasted 3 days :) i was worried but a lot of people have them x

IHeartKingThistle · 07/05/2019 22:02

Yes, very normal. Don't worry.

Agednotwine · 07/05/2019 22:06

I think I had a lot of lower back pain. The thing that prompted me to take a pregnancy test was that I was walking around like some sort of pregnant woman with my hand on my lower back and I was thinking - 'hey - this isn't me?' Took a pregnancy test and pregnant! Then I went to the doctor because I was having period like cramps, was tested for ectopic pregnancy, but all was well! Perfectly healthy pregnancy.

So yes, it's possibly normal pain!

Agednotwine · 07/05/2019 22:14

I suppose, with pregnancy, I'd be inclined to think, where on a scale of 1 - 10 is this pain? If it's above a 6, I'd be inclined to go to A&E just in case of something being wrong.
Paracetamol is safe to take in pregnancy for any niggles!

MummyBearBoo · 08/05/2019 09:41

I'm sure I'm imagining it since reading up on the symptoms for ectopic pregnancy but my right shoulder aches a little bit though it seems to be round the front and the right side of my tummy hurts a bit more than my left occasionally am I being paranoid? I hate this part when it's so early you don't know or feel anything!! Xx

Just to reassure yourself, why not try to get a same day appointment with your GP - or even ask if you could have a GP call you back?

WildFlower2019 · 08/05/2019 14:47

At 4-5 weeks I had cramps, definitely period pain ish kind

melissa1215 · 08/05/2019 15:04

I had cramps constantly for the first 9 weeks, I think it's just stretching

MummyBearBoo · 08/05/2019 17:50

It is normal to be mainly of my right side it's not really cramp anymore it feels more like muscle pain but it's mainly just in my right but it's not as low down as cramp usually is either?

Completely normal - the blastocyst buries itself into the lining of the uterus. You'll experience loads of aches, pains, stabbing pains so don't worry too much, seek help if it's worrying you though or accompanied by other things like bleeding, vomiting, fever etc (nb I'm not a medic - just been there myself a fair few times with both good and not so good outcomes )

MummyBearBoo · 08/05/2019 18:12

Thank you I'm goons sound a paranoid crazy person but I don't remember having one sided pain either times before so I've asked the DR to call me back xxx

Agednotwine · 08/05/2019 18:36

No harm in getting some reassurance from proper doctors. Most of us here are not medics, and in general doctors wouldn't comment either way, so there's no harm whatsoever in getting the doc to give you a call. They can reassure you if nothing else!

Agednotwine · 08/05/2019 18:37

Will it be tomorrow or this evening when they give you a call do you know?

Agednotwine · 08/05/2019 18:39

Is this your first - you haven't mentioned? I've only had one, so every minor flutter and I was all in a flitter! It's bloody stressful being pregnant! Grin

SleepingStandingUp · 08/05/2019 18:42

I'm same gestation Mummy and I keep gettung sharp stabby pains. Bent double with one earlier but it passed after 5 seconds. I'm trying to reassure myself it's baby burrowing deep, body starting to change etc

MummyBearBoo · 08/05/2019 19:06

Meant gonna not goons

OP posts:
MummyBearBoo · 08/05/2019 19:09

@SleepingStandingUp -my aren't really painful are yours just on one side though? Anyway Drs have said they're gonna call me back and if I am only 4 weeks it's unlikely that an ectopic pregnancy would cause pain coz it's so small and I tracked my ovulation so it'll only be 4 weeks and 2 days I think xxx

MummyBearBoo · 08/05/2019 19:13

@Agednotwine -sorry I know it's sounds like it my first but it's my 3rd (1 only got to 12 weeks then I had to have TFMR) but I've never known this early - as I have to have a dating scan ASAP I usually get a scan very soon after I find out so 1st found out at 6 weeks dating scan was at 8 weeks 2nd found out at 5 weeks scan at 9 weeks l I didn't really have pain til a bit later and not only on one side!! Xx

SleepingStandingUp · 08/05/2019 19:15

You're a day or so off me, I think I'm 4+3.

One offs are quite painful but some just niggly. Pains all over so I'm not too concerned it's eptopic, just that I'm scared it's period pains and I'm gonna get a "late period" and lose the baby :(

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 08/05/2019 19:16

I'm 10+6 today and for the first 2-3 weeks I had a lot of cramping and pains, still sometimes get some if I cough or sneeze. They were all down one side and I too became worried but I had a private scan at 8 weeks and another due to bleeding earlier this week and all is just fine and exactly where it should be.

MummyBearBoo · 08/05/2019 19:25

That good @smartcarnotsosmartdriver -is this your first @SleepingStandingUp? Yes i know I had a CP the cycle before last so I'm totally paranoid coz I only got to 4 weeks +4 before I started bleeding but looking back I think the BFP I got must have been when the HCG had already started dropping coz later that day then the day after I got a BFN so I think I'd already lost it! I got much stronger Frer and 2-3 weeks on CB instead of 1-2 this time so think HCG is higher -I'm not gonna test again til next week then will call the midwife! Xx

SleepingStandingUp · 08/05/2019 21:27

Nope, DS is nearly 4 but i didn't know until i was 6 weeks, i had a panic over pains at 7 weeks but was kindly told by a doc i was just being stretched and they got my dates wrong (really long cycles) so had a scan at 7 weeks so in no time at all i had a heart beat. I also just assumed everything would be fine.

Now the more mums i meet, having my own critically ill new born, im just more wary

agteacht · 08/05/2019 21:36

I'm 9+3 today and have had cramps constantly since BFP almost 6 weeks ago. Seems to be normal!
