Same with my DD she's 3.5 nearly and I didn't know til 6 weeks j have to have a dating scan which I had at 8 weeks then CVS genetic test at 11 weeks. 50/50 chance of my being ok to continue with the pregnancy luckily she was fine but my little boy conceived October 2017 wasn't so lucky just hoping this one will be ok!! Have to make it to 11 weeks first!!

Sorry to hear about the extra genetic complications, really hope everything is ok this time round.

I'm around 5+5 and have been getting awful cramps, but (tmi) I think it's mostly my gut as they ease when I go to the loo.

I think it's natural to be nervous. Back in the day, we were surrounded by women, now we just have Mumsnet.

@Kinsters - I know what you mean mine is s bit Bette when I go to the loo - it feels more like muscle pain now too so I think it is just my muscles getting ready. The last twice I'd been pregnant I didn't test again coz I was further a long and I'd not lost lost one before but t think I might test again this morning coz I'm not as far along and having had 2 CPs has made me more nervous!!! As the 1sr CP got to 4wk+4 which is where I'll be tomorrow! Thanks for your supportive messages hope everything goes/is going smoothly for you too! Xxx

Ok guys I know this is no longer related to my OP but I took this test the test line is still dark but the control line is pretty faint is this still positive? Also I read online that sometimes the test line is so dark it pulls dye from the control line hence why it's so light is that true? See pic xx

That's definitely a positive test, the hormone levels can fluctuate depending on the time of day. Comparing lines is one sure way to drive yourself mad, I know it's easier said than done but try and step away from the tests.

I know I know - it's just coz last time I started bleeding at 18dpo which is equivalent to tomorrow xx

I completely understand, I miscarried at 6 weeks and was so so anxious until I passed that point, and even still am now, I'm hoping I can breathe once I pass 12 weeks. It's such a scary time Thanks

I haven't told any except you guys and DH yet but it's my nephew birthday party on Saturday and I won't be able hide it from the in-laws they'll know as soon as I turn down a Prosecco!! My family don't drink so I might be able to get away with it with them!! I just don't want tell people til I know if he/she is ok - providing we get that far!! Xx

I only told my mum and my sister because I really needed their support last time so I know if anything went/goes wrong I'll need them. I've just about let myself believe that I might actually get to keep this one now but we'll see.

So I've told my sister but I can't tell my mum she's been thru this 11 weeks test thing 4 times already - twice with me one was fine one wasn't and my sisters both had to be tested when they were pregnant too as they hadn't been tested for the condition themselves previously - turns out I'm the only one with the faulty genetic mutation thankfully so their kids will be fine. It's not a condition you can carry you either have it or you don't! I'm not planning to tell her til after the test! Xx
