Anyone else? I'm exhausted all the time, fed up with being sore, and I'm beyond huge! The light at the end of the tunnel is that my scan tomorrow will help decide if I get induced or not.
Anyone else suffering out there and fancy company?
Also, this is dc2 so I know things are going to be really tough when baby comes too but I'm so over being pregnant now!

@vitadolce2015 that's so frustrating! I had that last week one night. The contractions were so bad that I rang the hospital asking at what point they wanted me to go in. I tried a bath and paracetamol and they continued but then randomly stopped at 3am :(

Hello! 38 weeks here with #2

No physical signs of anything happening here but sciatica has returned with a vengeance. By the end of the day I'm barely able to walk Sad

Have to be rescanned ASAP as growth was highlighted as a concern yesterday- measuring 35 weeks. Not sure what to really think but I know baby is completely head down so no wonder measurements are skewed.

KateTTC123 · 03/05/2019 03:52

@thismummyruns I think that's pretty common tbh so don't worry. I had the same thing at 36 weeks where she'd fallen off her centile on the scan but by my 38 week scan yesterday she was right back where she should be. Even while the sonographer was doing the scan she told me it was often an estimate at this stage. I'm sure you'll be fine

Ughhhh. Felt “funny” all evening and some mild pains coming and going. Hoped I’d wake up at 2am in labour. Nope, now it’s morning and it’s still not happening. Feel absolutely fine.
Also this baby needs to come out now as the heartburn is getting ridiculous.

Baloonphobia · 03/05/2019 12:46

I hear you on the heartburn! I've ranitidine on repeat prescription. My bump is big now and my underwear keeps rolling down so now I've developed a friction wound at the bottom of my bump that I had to go to the doctor and get an antibiotic for. God knows what next!

KateTTC123 · 03/05/2019 18:05

So I just posted about this separately but my bump has suddenly gone all soft at the top. I was told baby was already engaged but does this mean she's even lower? Also been having lots of Braxton Hicks all day and some mild cramps...

Baloonphobia · 03/05/2019 18:54

Sorry, I'm afraid I've no idea what that could mean.

Cookit · 03/05/2019 19:12

🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

PeanutButterIsOneWord · 03/05/2019 19:19

I'm 38 weeks this weekend and so impatient! I went a week over with my first, but I'm so so much bigger this time. Belly is so stretched out and sore. I've thankfully not had PGP like last time, but still so uncomfortable. I had a night of regular period cramp pains last week but nothing since. I think she's engaging and popping out again all the time which is frustrating.

HabbyHadno · 03/05/2019 19:25

Yep, 34 weeks pregnant with baby #3 (will be induced at 38 weeks) and I'm done. My toddler wound me up so much this morning that I ended up crying on the kitchen floor by 11:30. I don't feel that well today and have no energy so I'm having a real pity party.

Cookit · 03/05/2019 19:26

Oh I’ve seen that post now.. yes I guess it could mean nothing but if it was me I’d be thinking positively that it means the baby is in its way! Wink
I find it much more reassuring when people tell me the baby will be any day now that when people say oh the baby could be ages.. baby will come when baby is ready ... yes, yes I know it’s true but it doesn’t help.

KateTTC123 · 03/05/2019 21:57

Thanks @cookit I agree that optimism is always helpful!
I would know if my waters had gone right? I've not had a bath in a few days so couldn't have gone in the bath without me noticing, although I have had showers. I only ask because last time my bump went soft after my waters had gone, but they went dramatically and there was no denying that they had gone!
Just in case I should be worried at all.

OP posts:
Baloonphobia · 03/05/2019 22:14

If they went enough to notice a sudden change in the bump you'd probably have noticed. A trickle wouldn't cause a noticeable difference in a short period of time, would it? I'm leaking a lot and think it's urine but I'm really paranoid my waters have gone.

Cookit · 04/05/2019 07:50

On I’m glad you’ve both been thinking it, that popped into my head last night too!
Last time I had the Hollywood waters bursting thing so I knew. It was still then trickling out for hours after. I’ve had nothing quite like that this time but it’s still in the back of my head a bit - what if it was in the bath etc?
My bump is rock hard these days but I can’t remember really how it went when my waters burst. I think it was smaller but I don’t remember how it felt.

KateTTC123 · 04/05/2019 12:16

@baloonphobia I'd say there's never any harm in a quick chat to your midwife just to check. I'm sure it's absolutely fine but it's always good to play it safe.
I think you're right though; I would have noticed if enough had leaked to cause such a difference in my bump, especially as they measured my fluid levels just a couple of days before at my scan.
@cookit yeah mine were Hollywood style last time too and my bump was significantly squishier afterwards too.

I'm doing the yucky sniff test all the time here. It's mad.

KarineAimee · 04/05/2019 13:12

The worst thing for me about feeling so exhausted and marooned, is how crap a mum I am being to my 2 and 1/2 year old DD. I just want to get back to normal and not be constantly asking her not to poke/hit/lean her elbow on my belly. And get involved in her little world again rather than having her do everything with DH or my DM. Having a bit of a pity party here as DD and DH head out to soft play without me. Sorry.

Baloonphobia · 04/05/2019 16:50

I feel bad for not doing things with my daughter too because these are the last days of it being just me and her. She'll have to share me after this and she has no idea because she's so small. But I'm so wrecked. I'm just putting on cartoons.

babbit87 · 04/05/2019 20:51

Hi all can I join?

39 weeks with DC2 and soooo disappointed! (Had my DD1 at 39 weeks) went to MW appt yesterday sent me up hosp for hard abdomen and pains - monitoring showed regular tightenings (so mild I hadn’t really noticed them thought it was just baby moving) and internal showed I’m 2cm dilated. Sent home, had a curry (classic trick) contractions getting regular albeit 30 mins apart then at midnight - nothing. All stopped. Still nothing today, totally gutted. Very different to first baby where it all escalated very quickly. And to make it worse I’ve just found stretchmarks 😭

RCC18 · 05/05/2019 15:02

KarineAimee I feel the same as you about missing out on playing with DD1. I desperately want to be able to have her sit on my lap properly but it's so uncomfortable I am constantly moving her to the side. And the elbow to the belly thing is real!! Hopefully not too much longer, although I'm then worried about how I'll be too exhausted to play with her once baby is here... hmm.

AliceSt · 05/05/2019 15:16

37+5 here, DC2. Don't think I've ever been so fed up in my life (possibly being extreme but whatever). Has anyone else's self esteem taken a major bashing? I'm huge, and flabby, and full of fluid and fat, and just don't look or feel like myself right now. Looking at old photos when I thought I was fat, and am now praying I can get back to that weight! Urghhhh bring on the overwhelming love that makes you forget how shit pregnancy can be!

Baloonphobia · 05/05/2019 15:58

Everyone still pregnant today? I certainly am.

cja06 · 05/05/2019 19:08

Yep, I'm still pregnant but only 37 weeks so can't moan too much haha.

It's 7pm now and bang on queue bubs is awake and shoving against my cervix... lots of stabbing pains and twinges going on!

Ive been getting BH throughout the night for ages but the last few nights, I've been woken by one really painful one that gets my attention.

I feel like my body is getting ready which means I'll probably be over due again haha.

KateTTC123 · 05/05/2019 20:50

Still pregnant too. I have had some bad cramping this evening though but it wouldn't be the first time that's come to nothing.
The doc said they would induce me on my die date if I want or else by 10 days over if it's not happened before then. I'd rather avoid an induction though if at all possible so fingers crossed it happens on it's own before then!

Still pregnant. Urgh. Feeling a bit "off" this evening so hoping that's a sign of labour and I'm not coming down with something!
