Ahh that's amazing isn't it @ELJ1502. So tiny too. Are you excited for your app. tomorrow?

I don't know whether to set my app back to 5w. I'll probably wait and see what happens next week.

I'm feeling more positive today. I did another test and it came up just as strong as yesterday.

@Eliza9919 I know they're so small. I'm excited but nervous. I've still got it in my head I'm imagining things, so it would be nice for a confirmation.

I wouldn't change anything until your next appointment. Lots of people say that the early scans aren't accurate. It's good to hear you're feeling a little more positive. 🙂

Bubblebubble123 · 12/05/2019 12:57

@ELJ1502 do you have a scan tomorrow? How far along will you be? I have mine tomorrow afternoon. I’m nervous now for it coz my boobs didn’t feel sore at all lastnight. and now that I think about it my symptoms really are quite mild in comparison to when I had my little boy. My boobs are mildly sore, my nausea is very mild. I think the past couple of weeks I was glad to have some symptoms at all. Last pregnancy ended in mc and I didn’t have any symptoms at all. So I thought some symptoms are better than none but I think they should get stronger as the weeks go on. I’m trying to stay positive but with the scan tomorrow I feel I need to prepare myself for the worst at the same time.

@Eliza9919 sorry to hear you didn’t get to see what you wanted to see on the scan. I have heard also that these scans can be quite off when it’s so early so try to stay positive even though I know how hard that must be. Was it an internal scan? I think I’m getting an internal one tomorrow so it’ll be fairly clear if things are going to plan for me or not. So nervous.

ELJ1502 · 12/05/2019 13:14

@Bubblebubble123 it's just my booking appointment with the midwife but it's the first appointment I've had at all. My symptoms come and go, but I think I'm probably getting used to them in some sense so I wouldn't notice them sometimes. We're not having any early scans just trying to stay relaxed and go with it.

Eliza9919 · 12/05/2019 15:12

@BubbleBubble123 Yes it was an internal scan.

@ELJ1502 I have the Ovia app as well, can't wait for the wee hand and foot to show up on my app, got a while to go though as only 4+3 at the moment

ELJ1502 · 13/05/2019 17:04

Booking appointment went well, but in all honesty nothing happened. I got my due date of 22nd December and the midwife took lots of details. I'm apparently really healthy and in a good position. Apparently screening tests are done at the hospital with my 12 week scan, which is more likely to be 13 weeks, as that's the way it works in my chosen hospital.

Still feels nice to be on the next step. Hope you're all okay today. 🙂

Bubblebubble123 · 13/05/2019 18:07

Hope you’re all well today.

I had my very early scan today at 6+4. He couldn’t see much from external scan but he thought from the measurements that it was measuring just right. So he did an internal to double check and we saw the heartbeat. So so delighted. Big milestone for us. Hopefully all goes well from here on. I won’t stop being a little nervous but I’ve definitely relaxed loads after seeing that little flicker on the screen!!!

@Bubblebubble123
@Eliza9919
I'm feeling a bit scared, the now went to toilet and when I wiped there was a bit of blood could this mean mc? Or is it normal to spot in first trimester? 😭😥

Bubblebubble123 · 13/05/2019 19:23

I’m pretty sure it’s normal to spot.
Unless it gets heavy enough to fill a pad you shouldn’t have anything to worry about. Hope all is okay!

SquigglyOne · 13/05/2019 19:47

I wouldn’t panic just yet @katy34 when I had my miscarriage I knew it because it was so painful! Plus the bleeding got pretty heavy quite quickly! They do say you should get any bleeding checked out though.

@ELJ1502 did your partner go to your booking appointment with you? I’ve got mine next week and don’t want my dh to have to take time off work unless he needs to
Xxx

Eliza9919 · 13/05/2019 20:10

@BubbleBubble123 That's amazing, so pleased for you 😁

Did you get a scan date @ELJ1502?

I've been up and down today. Read loads online where people were supposedly 7 weeks but dated 5w at an early scan. Apparently they can be really inaccurate, so I'm holding out hope.

Also, 5 weeks would work out if counting from ovulation/implantation. I did another test this morning and the line was the same as yesterday. So I don't know.

Was a bit emotional a few times today. Felt slightly sick, had a touch of dizziness again. Boobs feeling sore again too. I think its work that makes me sick 😂 all my symptoms disappear when I'm at home!

Katy34 · 13/05/2019 20:40

@SquigglyOne trying not to panic, going to keep an eye on it, it's not painful thankfully, and doesn't seem to be getting any heavier at the moment, but I'm working night shift at the moment so will see what my doc says in morning if I have further bleeding

ELJ1502 · 13/05/2019 20:41

@SqigglyOne I didn't think it was necessary so I said he didn't need to. He'll be at all scans but the booking appointment was more about paper work.

@Eliza9919 the scan dates come from the hospital. Apparently I'll get a letter with the appointment, but I do have my 16 week midwife appointment already.

Bubblebubble123 · 13/05/2019 20:46

@Eliza9919 thanks. My doctor really didn’t seem too concerned with the measurements. He said you’re literally talking about a millimeter here or there so not to get too caught up in it. (Mine was measuring slightly bigger than what I’m at.) Fingers crossed when you go back you see a heartbeat. The fact that you still have symptoms is definitely a good sign.

Eliza9919 · 14/05/2019 08:44

@BubbleBubble123 I hope so. All the babies in my immediate family have been small, the biggest was 5lb something although DP's dad was 10 or 11lb though so I hope it just takes after my family and is coming up small. My first niece was small all the way through and she was 3lb odd when born, and my other niece, they wanted to induce my sister towards the end as they said baby was small and she was 4lb something.

I had some 'cramps' but not quite cramps if that makes sense last night and this morning, with no sign of any blood, so hopefully its growing.

Its the waiting and guessing and not knowing that's doing my head in. I'm not the most patient of people at the best of times and I'd rather just know now.

Eliza9919 · 14/05/2019 08:46

@SquigglyOne There was a thread in Pregnancy where they said its all just paperwork so not essential for DP's to be there.

@Katy34 How did you get on overnight?

OP posts:
Katy34 · 14/05/2019 10:52

@Eliza9919 spotting seems to be getting lighter thankfully, my doctor thinks it could be something to do with implantation or the placenta developing but said not to worry or stress as that's bad for the baby, she has arranged an early scan for me on the 31st but if I have any bright red bleeding or sharp pain to get back in touch straight away. So won't know for sure until scan, but she also said that because I'm still having pregnancy symptoms that she isn't to worried, advised me to take a pregnancy test ( same brand that I used for my first positive) and compare the darkness of the line as that would be a good indicator that everything was ok if the line was significantly darker than previous one ( thankfully it is a LOT darker) 🤞🙏🤰🤢🤮😁 how are you getting on?

Eliza9919 · 14/05/2019 11:07

@Katy34 I'm ok, just have to wait now really.

Hi everyone,
Sorry have been so quiet. Thought I should let you all know, I started bleeding on Sun night. Found out today with the scan that I have miscarried. Wasn’t meant to be this time. Hope you all continue to have healthy pregnancies and get to meet your babies soon.
Love to you all 💕💕💕

Eliza9919 · 15/05/2019 13:39

Miscarriage is just awful. Only advice I have is just let your emotions flow and be kind to yourself xxxxxx

Bubblebubble123 · 15/05/2019 16:17

@SuperSarah so sorry to hear this. It’s so so tough. Take care of yourself and take the time to grieve.
