Am I pregnant?

Hi ladies,
I just wanted some help/advice, Monday I didn't feel right, very tired, achy (a bit how I felt when I found out I was pregnant with my son) so I decided to take a early pregnancy test. Anyway the results came back with a strong negative however a faint positive line as well? I ended up just leaving it and then over the next couple of morning repeating it, but still getting the same results. On Thursday I had enough and went to the doctors as I didn't like the suspense of not knowing, her normal test came back negative and said to just wait a week and do it again next Thursday. Anyway I'm pretty impatient and still been doing them but the last couple I have done have been negative. So I'm not entirely sure whether I am or not. I've done about 6 which have all showed a faint positive and then only a couple which have been negative. It won't let me attach the photos for some reason but if anyone knows how I can show you etc or just some advice?

How can you have a strong negative with a faint positive as well?

If there’s a line at all, and it’s coloured and appeared within the time frame specified by the test, it’s positive. Anything else is negative.

If your tests and your doctor’s test are coming up negative, you’re not pregnant; or at least not far enough along for the tests to pick it up. Sounds like you might have a virus or something. You wouldn’t be feeling symptoms already if you’re not producing enough hormone yet even for an early test to pick up.

I'll try and upload the pictures then maybe you'll understand. I was very unwell with my first pregnancy and ended up having him 3 months early that's why when I felt this way Monday I was worried and wanted to know as it was the same symptoms as I had with my first.

@Smith96 maybe you were just under the weather if you were testing daily the line should of got darker by now x

False negatives are more common than false positives according to my GP. I would retest in a few days if I was you X

Yeah I thought it would have been getting darker by now. I'm due on in the next couple of days so we shall see!

Yeah I thought it would be pretty rare to get false positives and especially getting around 6 that looks like this and then only a couple negatives? We shall see!
It'll be 48hrs since I joined later today so I will attach the photos later!

Update when you know more ! False positives are rare especially when the test line has colour x

I got these a couple of days ago, now I'm just getting negatives

& the lines showed up within the test time too

Yeah I am getting the faint positive line but now getting negatives. I'm not going to do them anymore, I'm just gonna wait and see what happened!

It's so frustrating isn't it

Yeah I just don't know what to do or think! Hate not knowing and I don't want to talk to people about it that I know because it may not be true!!

I can see a very faint line in all of those. I'd say pregnant but very early on. I would re test again in a few days x

I can see a faint line on all of those. Maybe try a first response early response? They have always given me the earliest/most accurate result.

Thanks ladies. Sorry it's taken ages for me to upload the pics. They're all early response tests which is why I think I may be very early on (if I am) I'm due on on Tuesday so we shall see after that!

I can see a faint lines on both. Retest when your period is late, it's very frustrating x

I've tried clear blue digital & that said "not pregnant" :/x

@1995xoxo I've heard clear blue / digital tests are known for giving false positives ? They find it harder to pick up HCG especially early positives ? Not sure if that's just a rumour but I would do a pink dye x

The tests look flooded to me. I don’t see positives.

I do t see colour in the line on the first image and, as a previous poster says, the other 2 look flooded which invalidates them.

Be warned that Clearblue digital tests are not particularly sensitive so, if you are in the very early days, they can come up negative.

I would wait a couple of days and use a FRER test with first morning urine and by peeing in a pot and dipping the test in it rather than trying to pee direct on the sticks.
