Just want to hear from ladies who have successfully conceived. Before doing the test, did you have obvious symptoms? Did you know before the you did the test? Is it very different to PMS?

I knew very early on as I had really really sore boobs. My period was not even due when this happened. I usually get some tenderness at my TOTM but this was SORE. That was my biggest sign x

JE87 · 03/04/2019 16:53

I didn't know, the only clue I had was a late period!

Blastandtroph · 03/04/2019 16:55

Tender breasts and metallic taste in mouth are often early signs.

Cupidity · 03/04/2019 17:00

My wee smelt different - more animaly?

IntoValhalla · 03/04/2019 17:03

With my first DC, my boobs were incredibly sore which has never been a usual PMS symptom for me, and I swear I started vomiting from the moment of conception Confused
With DC2, I had the sore boobs again, but that was pretty much it until the sickness kicked in at about 7 weeks.
With DC3 (currently 16 weeks pregnant), I got the sore, enormous boobs before I even got a positive test. The sickness started at about 5 weeks, and I had this weird excessive thirst from about the time I noticed my boobs were massive.

I kinda just knew something was off, I didn't have any symptoms before I found out it was just gutt feeling. Even now the only symptoms I have are heightened sense of smell, sore boobs and some period like pains.
In my experience it does feel a lot like PMS, I had cramps just like period cramps and my boobs were sore just like during my period, and that was about it! Symptoms of pregnancy and periods are very similar I'm afraid!

Wingingeverything · 03/04/2019 17:07

I just had a feeling, I felt different. I cant explain it but I just knew!x

YAmILikeDis · 03/04/2019 17:08

For me, yes. Very sore boobs, heightened sense of smell, and I can sleep as soon as I sit down.

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 03/04/2019 17:08

For me the first symptom has been exhaustion. I was napping during the day (which is unusual for me) for almost a week before I got my BFP. Still early days and I'm still exhausted.

Aquamarine1029 · 03/04/2019 17:10

I had no symptoms, I just knew.

MooseBeTimeForSnow · 03/04/2019 17:11

No symptoms. I have irregular periods, so I made it to 17 weeks before my expanding stomach made it obvious.

RatherBeRiding · 03/04/2019 17:14

Absolutely no symptoms at all except late period. Can't say I had any symptoms at all until I started to get some very fleeting nausea around 11/12 weeks.

babystripes · 03/04/2019 17:17

Tiredness! I could have napped anywhere!

Megan2018 · 03/04/2019 17:18

Absolutely diddly squat symptoms wise until BFP which was at 1 day late.
I felt exactly like I do when period due - but it didn't come.

Before it happened I convinced myself I had symptoms several times in the months before. They were all in my head.

A few days after BFP I had bigger, sore boobs and darker nipples. needed to wee all the time and felt continually like my period was about to start. By then I was getting on for 5 weeks. So no mistaking it then - but prior to period due date, I felt entirely normal.

Samind · 03/04/2019 17:18

No symptoms at all!

kgeal3 · 03/04/2019 17:20

All 4 pregnancies I've had extremely painful boobs and felt exhausted after a normal day (more than just Normal mum tired)

ohmydaysagain · 03/04/2019 17:29

My first I didnt realise at all I was 8 weeks when I found out and it was the sickness that made me test, I woke up every morning feeling sick and tired and didn't know why ! I had recently changed pills and was taking them without a break as I was on holiday.
My second I tested 3 days before my period was due, I just knew I was pregnant no real symptoms as such, we had been trying for 10 months.
My third I tested 2 days before my period was due, I had come off the pill 2 months before and was ttc. I had awful sore boobs and was full of wind Blush I literally spent all day burping and farting.
My fourth I had sheer exhaustion my 3rd was only 3 months old and I literally felt like passing out after walking for ten minutes pushing the pram, I hadn't even had a period so no idea when i tested that I was only 3 weeks. I found out how far along I was at a scan at 9 weeks. They had estimated I was 12 weeks.

Hiddenaspie1973 · 03/04/2019 17:31

I knew before i tested.
Veiny boobs
Madly increased sense of smell. Could smell when anyone had their period. Gross.
My pee smelled like male dog piss
I was driving to work and someone cut me up. Normally, I'd get the rage.
But I felt a strange calmness instead. Very unsettling for me.
Sooo tired.

Itsagrandoldteam · 03/04/2019 17:34

I knew because I was absolutely exhausted, it was so not like me back then, these days it's just normal.

fee1234 · 03/04/2019 17:58

I've never had boobs as sore as the first few weeks, it was ridiculous. I think if I hadn't known I was pregnant I'd have gone to the doctors just for how sore they were!

CaramelCluster · 03/04/2019 18:01

I had A LOT of wind...more so than usual and heart palpitations which I've very rarely experienced in the past (was quite frequent around 8/9dpo)

Tobebythesea · 03/04/2019 18:01

I suspected before the test both times. The first time I was beyond exhausted. Totally exhausted. The second time my breasts were really sore.

hannah9176 · 03/04/2019 18:02

Nothing at all. In fact as I was peeing on my test I was thinking "dunno why I've bothered, this was a waste of £10" and there it was, a big fat line!

UserAlice · 03/04/2019 22:02

I had no idea and only took a test as a bit of a laugh a few days early, fully expecting a negative result. I definitely didn’t have a “feeling” or anything.

I did have some odd pulling sensations in my lower abdomen for a couple of days before I tested but I didn’t think much of them - once I got my BFP I realised they must be a pregnancy thing. They continued for a few weeks after that.

Thinkofsomethingoriginal · 05/04/2019 13:43

Stomach cramps like bad period pain, a few days early - but the period never came. It was a three or four days before it dawned on me.
Nothing else at all for the whole first trimester.
