Ladies, has anyone experienced this? I'm 8 weeks yesterday, had a scan at 6 weeks saw baby and heartbeat everything was fine until last night. I went to the loo, and had some spotting only when I wipe it's been pink/ brownish but now it's quite dark brown. I've been to the GP this morning I have a scan tomorrow at 11am but I'm so worried. The bleeding stopped bleeding when I went to bed and I've had nothing all morning until just which was this.
I had a miscarriage early jan and I'm so scared it's happening again but I do remember I was bleeding heavy and red by now!! Please help and thank you for taking the time 😢 xxx

Quite possibly old blood that’s just worked it’s way out. I was always told (and I’ve have two miscarriages) only to be concerned with bright red blood, clots and pain. Fingers crossed for your scan tomorrow

Amyszymm · 03/04/2019 12:47

@mynameisMrG thank you so much! It's mainly been brownish and I've had no pain or cramps so I thought that's a good thing! Sorry to hear about your losses hun xx

It’s hard isn’t it when you have had a loss. I didn’t feel I could enjoy being pregnant as I was so paranoid. You did the right thing getting it checked out and that’s such a positive that you have already seen the heartbeat

Amyszymm · 03/04/2019 13:16

It's so hard!! I feel the same this time, I'm just so worried every time I go to the toilet and especially now. Just can't wait for this scan tomorrow to find out what's happening. Thank you for replying, it means a lot xx

I had exactly the same from 8 weeks and it lasted on and off for around 10 days little one was absolutely fine :)

honeylove123 · 03/04/2019 20:00

Was told by midwife it was old blood and nothing to worry about unless it turns bright red.

spugzbunny · 03/04/2019 20:20

At 9 weeks I had a similar gloopy blob then light bleeding for 24 hours. Scared the crap out of me but midwife and GP both thought it was my placenta implanting.

CatsForLife · 03/04/2019 20:23

I had this sort of thing as a one-off with both my pregnancies around the 10 week mark. All was fine.

Amyszymm · 03/04/2019 21:33

Thanks for the replies ladies. Just an update, I had a gush of bright red blood half hour after writing this, crying and in an panic mode, my partner paid for us to have a private scan and OH MY GOD my baby was there heartbeat beating away, sonographer said she can't see no reason for bleeding and everything is fine and baby is measuring right for dates, I'm still in shock. I'm still bleeding now and it's red and dark red so obviously still abit worried as I'm not sure what's going on but hopefully I will have some more answers tomorrow. Thank you for replying 💐

I’m glad everything looks okay with the baby Flowers Good luck for tomorrow at the hospital

ScatteredMama82 · 03/04/2019 21:38

Oh hon I'm sorry you are having all this worry. If it's any consolation, two of my best friends had lots of bleeding (red, fresh blood and sometimes a lot of it) all the way through their pregnancies. Their little ones are now 4 and 7 months! I had a little bleed about 5 weeks, I was convinced I had lost it but my little one is now 4 years old. Good luck, I hope you get some reassurance tomorrow. xx

WhereIsMyTVRemote · 03/04/2019 21:43

With one of mine I had no idea I was pregnant as I had a full blown week of bright red blood ie a period. Baby was absolutely fine, when I eventually realised what was going on!

I have also not bled at all and lost, bled a small amount and lost, and had four successful pregnancies which all bled to some degree or another. Mine was put down to a worn out cervix...!

Sessy19 · 03/04/2019 21:43

Pregnancy can be the most surprising of tests for your emotions. Fri before last, I had an almighty bleed. I mean, I stood up in a lecture theatre in front of 300 colleagues and bled everything out all through my clothes. No pain at all but about a cup of bliss with huge clots. I was devastated and it took me about an hour to get off the bathroom floor and go to A&E. It was a miscarriage, I was undeniable. I went to EPU on the Mon after to confirm the loss. And there she was, 7+6, heartbeat ticking away. Didn’t even know that wasn’t a miracle...apparently it’s kinda normal! 😳 Not the sort of normal I want to ever experience again, but...well. Shit the bed and call me Moses!!😂😂😂 Little tyke better be a bit more considerate of her mum when she lands herself, that all I can really say! 😂

Sessy19 · 03/04/2019 21:44

Blood, not Bliss!!

Amyszymm · 03/04/2019 21:56

@Gruzinkerbell1 thank you hun!

@ScatteredMama82 thank you for sharing that with me, it's just so worrying seeing any type of blood isn't it?!

@WhereIsMyTVRemote oh gosh! This pregnancy is defiantly testing me in every way and I'm only 8 weeks, with my first pregnancy I had no bleeding or any kind of scare so I'm not used to this. I just hope I find out what's happening with me xx

@Sessy19 oh my god hun!! I can only imagine what you went through, I'm just so glad everything was okay!! I'm still in shock and don't believe that my baby is okay even though I've seen my little miracle on that big screen!! I will update tomorrow and let you all know what's been said.

Thank you all for messaging me and telling me your own experiences I know myself it can't be easy so thank you again. You really are lovely people 💐💐

So pleased little bean is still safe and snug in there. That must have been a scary time! Hopefully that’s the stress done with and s/he stays settled for the next 32 weeks!

Amyszymm · 03/04/2019 23:29

@mynameisMrG thank you lovely!! It has been scary and still is, as I'm still bleeding red blood it's basically like I'm on a period now. Just don't know what to think, just hope there is an explanation tomorrow. Thank you again xxx

mynameisMrG · 04/04/2019 11:23

How you doing today op?

Roomba · 04/04/2019 11:30

Fingers crossed for you, OP. Glad all looked well at the scan, that's very reassuring.

To reassure you further, I had this when pregnant with DS1 - I was at the same stage and hadn't realised I was pregnant, so assumed it was a period. Only realised when I missed the next one, got a BFP and was much further along than I'd thought at my first scan. He's a strapping, healthy, almost six foot tall 13 year old now. I also bled a lot every month when my period would have been due when I was pregnant with DS2. It was so worrying, but everything kept being fine on scans and they couldn't really find a final explanation for it. He's now the loudest six year old in Britain and also ridiculously healthy so far. They certainly know how to panic us, don't they!

Amyszymm · 04/04/2019 12:30

@mynameisMrG been for my scan! Baby is still fine with a heartbeat, still can't find no reason for the bleeding! Just said what @Roomba said, with it being hormones and round the time your period would normally be due!!

@Roomba thank you so much for sharing hun!! They really do know how to worry us, I can't thank you all enough for the support xxx

mynameisMrG · 04/04/2019 12:56

Aw how lovely. At least you can relax a little bit now 😊 if there is such a thing when you are expecting!

Amyszymm · 04/04/2019 13:58

@mynameisMrG thank you hun! I know haha xx

After 2 losses. 3rd pregnancy I had bleeding from 7 weeks to 17 weeks with no cause until they spotted a massive bleed at 12 week scan which made me bleed bright red and with clots it had gone by my 20 week scan. Currently 34+4 And all is very well. Goodluck xx

Amyszymm · 05/04/2019 07:41

@xJune88 oh my god. Bet that was so scary!! I'm still bleeding now, did they say what the big bleed was from? I'm so so glad everything is okay now!! Do you know if your having a boy or a girl? Xxx

OP posts:
xJune88 · 05/04/2019 10:51

I had an extra chronicic hemorrage attached to sac and just panicked every single time I saw blood but epu was brilliant and said they'd scan me every week if I needed that to feel reassured. I'm having a girl who is currently under my ribs haha. Goodluck with your pregnancy xx
