What eye colour will my baby have?

I know there’s no exact way to know until their at least 9 months, but I’m curious and have been trying to research but haven’t found a conclusive answer as both mine & DH’s eye colours are recessive (I think)

Mine are green and DH’s are blue/grey.

Any guesses?

For hair and eye colour you have to take into account the previous two generations. Both my parents have dark hair and brown eyes as do all of us except one sister who is blond with blue eyes - both grandmothers were blonde with blue eyes.

My parents have pale blue and bright blue, I have greeny blue, my brother has green. My DH has hazel, DC1 has hazel but a bit more green than DH's, DD has greeny blue like me with a hazel stripe in her left eye.

Even amongst dark haired / eyed races kids often start with pale hair and eyes. An awful lot of Indian babies for example have blonde / red hair and blue / hazel eyes before they darken. Wouldn’t get too hung up about it

DH has bright blue eyes I have grey /pale blue eyes ,one of my son's has hazel eyes ...apparently not possible according to the chart

It is not impossible, but is improbable that you will have a brown eyed child. He/she will most likely have blue eyes, maybe green.

@squiddley - if that were true there would be fewer brown eyed people in some parts of south Asia / Middle East. Actually anyone can produce a brown eyed child, just depends on which gene the brown colour sits on.

I have blue eyes and DH has green eyes. DS has blue eyes - identical to mine!
