Heart breaking year. Now got brown spotting after BFP?

Can anyone give me positive stories of brown spotting? I'm only 4 or 5 weeks. I have light brown spotting and mild cramps and I'm terrified.

Please no horror stories as I've had enough heartbreak this year.

Any stories of brown spotting and happy endings would be great.

Brown spotting, pink spotting, full on gushes of blood in both pregnancies and two daughters currently smashing up my garden with a football. I wish you the very best.

I had this from 4 to 9 weeks. Now sitting here with my baby! Apparently it was liquid from the Douglas' pouch, didn't know what it was until they told me. Brown blood tends to be old and not as threatening as red, bright blood.

Brown spotting weeks 5-9, especially after a BM. DD currently sleeping on me DS I had what I thought was a period - I had no idea I was pregnant till I was nearly 8 weeks. Best of luck

Did any of you experience cramping too?

I experienced period pain like cramping until about 8 weeks. It's completely normal.

I also had a bit of red blood loss at 7 weeks, followed by a few days of brown discharge and spotting.

I'm currently 29 weeks so if definitely doesn't automatically spell bad news :)

Yes I had spotting with both of my boys (currently having their breakfast opposite me), and went to hospital and was monitored but no further problems luckily. This happened several times throughout early pregnancy. Good luck OP

Really sorry to hear that, OP. Would recommend you call your local EPU for advice.

I had 2 bouts of brown spotting when pregnant with ds1 (8w and 13w) after 2 mcs I was terrified but he stuck in there and eventually had to be forcably removed at 42weeks because he was too bloody comfy! Try not fret! I managed to get a scan at the EPAU which helped set me at ease!

Digital reading "not pregnant" now. 😔

So sorry megamouse. Could it be that it's reading not pregnant because you didn't do it with first morning urine?

I also had an early miscarriage at about 5 weeks and the impression I got from my GP was that it would take a few days for a pregnancy test to register as not pregnant as the hormones need some time to come down.

@Asiama maybe. The test is a boots digital which are 25mu I just want to know. Getting so tired of this I don't understand what I've done to deserve it. Watching everyone around me carry healthy babies 8/ heartbreaking.

Brown spotting at 6 weeks, followed by complete loss of symptoms. Took another test (not a digi) definite fainter line. I was convinced of the worst, now here I am, after another two brown bleeds in early pregnancy, 34 weeks preggo.

As others have said, did you use FMU with the digital? Maybe do another test in the morning?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that it will happen soon even if it's not this time. It's so hard when it's happening for everyone around you. I got my baby after falling pregnant three times while my friends had had two children in that time.

I had cramps in my last pregnancy. I also had cramps in my first two but they were unbearably painful.

@Mumtobe193 thank you that's really reassuring. No I didn't use fmu I did this 25mu boots digital after two coffees this morning (both decaf obviously) and it's flashed up not pregnant.
I'm trying to cling onto hope but after some dark red bleeding a period type cramps it's hard to remain optimistic.

Just an update- I've miscarried today.
Very sad. Really hoping to conceive ASAP 😔
