My periods are like clockwork . 24-25 days cycle. Today is day 27 and there is no sign :(
We did the deed this cycle, but DH had a condom on AND pulled out in time.
PLEASE tell me I’m not pregnant. Please :(

No one can tell you that I’m afraid. Sounds unlikely but you need to test. Hope you get the result you want.

Sakura7 · 17/03/2019 13:44

Well obviously nobody can tell you for certain, but you did take precautions so try not to stress too much. Even people with cycles like clockwork can have an occasional late period. Getting highly stressed could delay it even further.

Why don't you go out and get a test?

Middlrm · 17/03/2019 13:46

Your not pregnant 🤰🏻

In all honesty I don’t know tests can be pretty accurate early on ... I found out 3 weeks after conception ... so wasn’t even late for a period yet... though it only
Took one try for me but husband isn’t have condom or pull out because we were trying for a baby.... wouldn’t think you are based on the fact you had protection.

Stress can cause you to be late I once went 3 months without a period due to stress

Take a test if it’s been a little while fingers crossed you get the answer you want.

onemoremummy · 17/03/2019 13:46

I get the odd 30-day cycle when mine are like yours, 25-26 days.
Things that delay cycles are: stress, antibiotics, long haul travelling, illnesses....

Mum2020 · 17/03/2019 13:46

I have a test at home. (Left over from TTC 3 yes ago). I’ll check first thing tomorrow. Or shall I check now?

I’ve started working out recently. Would that delay periods?

You’re not pregnant. Just late. It happens.

Mum2020 · 17/03/2019 13:48

I’m 100% sure we had sex just that one time.

Fortheloveofscience · 17/03/2019 13:49

If your periods late then a test should be positive if you’re pregnant even if you take it in the afternoon. If you try and hold it for a couple of hours and don’t drink loads of water it should be accurate enough.

Mum2020 · 17/03/2019 13:49

Thanks for reassuring me Ladies. I really really hope you are right ! I’ll try to calm down :(

Sakura7 · 17/03/2019 13:50

You might have a better chance of it being accurate if you do it first thing in the morning. But try not to stress today, it's unlikely you're pregnant.

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 17/03/2019 13:50

You're probably not if he had a condom on and pulled out. Even if he didn't pull out, condoms are effective. Sometimes I'm a few days early or late and it doesn't mean anything.

Mum2020 · 17/03/2019 13:55

Condoms are effective, but not 100%. My first born is a result of condom failure. I was super shocked for months! I’m perhaps worrying too much because of this history too!

OP posts:
Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 17/03/2019 14:00

You weren't using them properly then. You dont need to pull out with a condom.

gamerchick · 17/03/2019 14:02

Why dont you just test now to put your mind at rest?

If you're not happy or confident with condoms (you don't need to pull out.) Then there are other options.

ColdCottage · 17/03/2019 14:09

Just take the test.

Mum2020 · 17/03/2019 14:10

The condom failure thing was over 12yrs ago. He pulls out only when I’m ovulating.

OP posts:
Mum2020 · 17/03/2019 14:10

Ok - I’ll take the test now

OP posts:
MoeAnna · 17/03/2019 14:10

Do the test.

First morning wee is a myth.

gamerchick · 17/03/2019 14:15

But pulling out all of a sudden could damage the condom, you're supposed to withdraw carefully while holding the base.

Just do the test and take it from there.

Strugglingonagain · 17/03/2019 14:54

What happened OP? Did you take the rest?

Strawberry2017 · 17/03/2019 15:14

Pulling out is not an effective form of birth control.

excitedtobehere · 17/03/2019 15:19

Are you using condoms every time you have sex? You may not ovulate at the same time every month.

Heismyopendoor · 17/03/2019 15:26

Did you take the test op? :)

Mum2020 · 17/03/2019 15:41

I did the test just now. Bright single line. Absolutely no second line. I’m hoping I’m ok. Still no period though :(

@excitedtobehere : Condom every single time. Condom + pull out during ovulation

Sakura7 · 17/03/2019 15:43

Whenever I've had a scare, I've always got my period soon after doing the test. It's like once the stress goes everything gets back to normal.
