@JoJoSaysHello I completely know what you mean. I was sooo excited when I saw the bfp (and still am to some degree) but now just feel worried and like it's not really real yet!

TrashKitten10 · 16/03/2019 06:16

@JoJoSaysHello I'm frequently excusing myself with baby brain, I just can't get my words out. Lots of 'whatdoyoucallit's and 'thingymebobs's in my vocabulary right now.

And I know how you feel. I'm 5+6 today but it's still not sunk in. It doesn't help that I have very few symptoms which is a constant cause of worry and doubt. Hoping I'm just one of the lucky ones who gets an easy ride of the pregnancy journey.

I was going to use my last two pregnancy tests this morning to reassure myself but I forgot haha. Ive got a stinking cold and obviously can't take anything so my FMU was wasted while I was trying to deal with a waterfall of snot, lovely Grin

Unsureursula · 16/03/2019 07:28

@bumblingalonghappily thanks for the new tidy list!!

Also major insomnia (well due to nightmare!) and feeling very emotional with lots of cramping/stretching feeling in my tummy!

Welcome to all the new people!

Youcandothis365 · 16/03/2019 07:32

Thank you @bumblingalonghappily !!

keepforgettingmyusername · 16/03/2019 07:53

Jesus. My bum hole is in shreds. Never had this with DS - this one must be a girl!

dottydally · 16/03/2019 08:07

Hi! Can I join? I got my BFP last weekend but I'm struggling with the fact I don't feel any different. I have slightly sore boobs and I've lost my appetite a bit but I'm otherwise fine.

I'm 24 and my EDD is around the 19th of November. I've got an early scan booked for 3 weeks time on the same day as my booking appointment! I'm hoping it will put my mind at rest.

Congratulations to everyone!

MrBobLoblaw · 16/03/2019 08:18

Hi everyone! I stupidly started my own group as I couldn't find a Nov one and here you all are Grin

I'm MrBobLobLaw age 27 due 4/11/19 already have DS 17 months

Not too many symptoms so far apart from getting spotty and bloated and a tiny bit of nausea in the mornings. I was lucky with my first pregnancy which was very easy so I'm holding for the same. Any other S London mamas?

aimingfor2019 · 16/03/2019 08:36

@dottydally
You're exactly the same as me, I think I'm due on the 18th. Have a private scan booked for the 6th April, haven't booked in with the midway yet as they say not to fill out the form until you're at least 6weeks.

I've got slightly sore boobs and complete loose of appetite too. But nothing beyond that.

RedKite89 · 16/03/2019 08:51

Hi all! I’d love to join in. Got my BFP for baby #1 on Thursday and it took a couple of days for it to really sink in and believe it! I’m 29 and due around 20 November, pretty sure we conceived on St David’s Day and we’re Welsh so if all goes well we’ll have a very patriotic little one! Symptoms so far are mostly lots of twinges and stitch-like feelings in my abdomen, and MAJOR fatigue

Mintypea5 · 16/03/2019 09:00

Welcome everyone new FlowersGrin congratulations on all your BFP! I find it just doesn’t feel real until the scan (which is such a long wait!!!)

@keepforgettingmyusername Grin hope you’re ok!

@bumblingalonghappily thanks for the new tidy list

@TrashKitten10 sorry you’re feeling poorly! I’ve got a stinky cold too. Drinking lots of honey and lemon with hot water

Has anyone else started to think names? We’ve had a boys name picked out since before DS2 was born but last night I went a little loopy and suggested Percy .,. DH just looked at me and said no he was the worst of a Thomas’s friends

bumblingalonghappily · 16/03/2019 09:41

@Mintypea5 DH just looked at me and said no he was the worst of a Thomas’s friends

Love it-hilarious!! We haven't even begun to think about names yet- it doesn't feel real enough in my head yet and would feel like I was jinxing it maybe?

@RedKite89 congrats!! We're almost identical- I got my bfp Wed morning, due a couple of days after you and also born in 89!

Also just for clarity's sake everyone- I wasn't the one who tidied the list up- I just added a few names on Smile

Feelingsolow12345 · 16/03/2019 09:49

I'm finding everything I eat, but a few things, hard to eat. The thought smell and taste of chicken is the worst one for me and that's what we all eat in the house. I found I'm craving prawns, vegetable samosas and orange juice.boh and pickled chilli garlic from Lidl but they have now stopped selling it :(

PrayingandHoping · 16/03/2019 10:09

@Feelingsolow12345 I think prawns are on the list of things to not eat when you're pregnant?

Feelingsolow12345 · 16/03/2019 10:23

You can have them as long as they're cooked properly. I only ever buy the cooked ones

Mintypea5 · 16/03/2019 10:24

@Feelingsolow12345 I go off chicken every pregancy. Last time I couldn’t even walk down the aisle in the supermarket without gagging. It’s a bugger because that’s what we mainly eat

Feelingsolow12345 · 16/03/2019 10:34

I know how you feel. At work in the food to go, a big chunk of it is chicken based products and it really puts me off my dinner. Only other meat that I can eat is ham. Ham and coleslaw is a big crave too haha

Littleseed · 16/03/2019 11:09

@JoJoSaysHello

I can totally relate to what you said : " Anyone else feeling like this isn’t real?? I’m constantly on edge and looking forward to a time in the pregnancy when I’m confident there is a healthy baby in there... Is it just me?"

This is exactly me!

Littleseed · 16/03/2019 11:15

Hi and welcome to the club to everyone that's just joined! Flowers

Littleseed · 16/03/2019 11:16

Period like pains this morning- lower back and belly!

Unsureursula · 16/03/2019 11:23

I’m still laying in bed- v unlike me!!
Reading all your foodie posts is just making me hungrier lol!!

Littleseed · 16/03/2019 11:34

Lol @unsureursela.

I had no choice but to get up early thanks to needing a desperate wee, which I tried to ignore but couldn't!

Unsureursula · 16/03/2019 11:45

@Littleseed oh plenty of wees unfortunately but I’m training myself to get straight back into bed instead of being distracted by some ‘job’ to be done!
Did all the cleaning last night after work so feeling like I can take it easy today Wink

Littleseed · 16/03/2019 11:50

Sorry about the typo above @Unsureursula! Blush
That's great you got all your cleaning done. I'm hoping to have the energy for that tonight, or tomorrow.
It's good to train yourself to get back in bed. In my case, the wee nags me and I try to ignore it for as long as I can until I'm too uncomfortable to sleep and can't fall asleep and then end up going to wee anyway lol.

Unsureursula · 16/03/2019 12:14

@Littleseed lol it’s just so hard to get the timing right!!
Dream is to have someone do all our cleaning, cooking and ironing but pretty sure that won’t happen! DP says to ignore it sometimes but I just can’t!
Hope the pain has passed for you now Smile
