@Pamplem00se Flowers

Good luck to all those having early scans. To all of those who have suffered losses after scans I understand your anxiety FlowersFlowers

I have the worst cold today. Annoyingly can’t take any decongestants now ... my sinus just hurt ☹️

tigsyboo · 15/03/2019 12:49

I understand about pregnancy loss, I've been there and it's awful. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy... but I think scans give people a bit of reassurance, not guarantees... and a bit of positivity never hurt anyone, especially that's what we are all looking for on here. I for one am happy today. I hope my happiness lasts.
I think positivity and not negative past experiences should be what drives this group forward

Littleseed · 15/03/2019 13:12

Oh @Hayley89 all that sounds lovely. Mmmm Blush
Funnily, I had salmon yesterday, and wasn't able to finish it- which is unlike me too!

Littleseed · 15/03/2019 13:19

@Ruthsoph YES that's the exact way I described the pain to the doctor - period like pain. It's very normal and there was a video on here talking about pregnancy symptoms and the midwife on there said it feels liek period pains. Flowers

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 15/03/2019 13:30

May I join? Only found out I am pregnant yesterday- over the moon!!

Im 33 and this will be #4, due 8th November

Hayley89 · 15/03/2019 13:30

@Littleseed that's so strange, I wonder if fish is a common thing. It does worry me a bit, everywhere says to aim for 2 portions of fish a week which we do anyway but if I'm going off it I'm not sure how I can keep it in my diet. I'm hoping the missing nutrients can be found in all the rubbish food I just bought from Tesco ... surely there's Omega 3's or whatever in crisps and white chocolate right?! 😂 Cake

aimingfor2019 · 15/03/2019 13:32

@Pamplem00se Thanks

@tigsyboo
Well said.

Littleseed · 15/03/2019 13:37

LOL @Hayley89! Grin

Really? Is that what it says- to aim for 2 portions of fish a week? I really love fish usually too. I'm hoping this was a one off for us! Otherwise we may need to switch to fish oils? After checking it's ok though with MW first. Wink

Littleseed · 15/03/2019 13:37

I hope everything goes wonderful for you this time and everytime from here on @Pamplem00se. Flowers

MrsPMT23 · 15/03/2019 14:01

@FirstTimeMama91 I haven't had an early BabyBond scan but I've had a 4D one in my previous pregnancy. The sonographer was brilliant and really friendly, they had great facilities too. BabyBond is the only one within a hours drive to me but I keep getting put off by the £90 charge! My 4D one was only £120 and double the length of time of an early scan and we got loads of photos/videos.

Knickersononeshead · 15/03/2019 14:32

Jeez I'd forgotten about discharge in early pregnancy 😳 just had a major panic as stood up and thought I'd felt a gush of sorts. Feared the worse so went to the loo and wow. Best dig out my liners 🙈

Mintypea5 · 15/03/2019 14:37

@Knickersononeshead I’ve had that too 🤦🏻‍♀️

Knickersononeshead · 15/03/2019 14:44

We're so glamorous 😂

Hayley89 · 15/03/2019 15:31

@Littleseed yeah it looks like fish is a complicated one. The NHS site recommends 2-3 portions of fish per week but you can't have too much of some due to mercury levels (i.e. tuna) and then they say not to have more than 2 portions of oily fish (like salmon) because of possible pollutants! Nice and confusing 😂
I'm definitely asking the MW about oils if I really can't face eating any!

Ruthsoph · 15/03/2019 15:48

@Knickersononeshead OMG i was the same and i was actually too worried to go to the loo and check....
One minute i feel really sick and the next i am stuffing a packet of crisps down me - and the thought of home cooked food that we usually have turns my tummy but the thought of a chinese put a smile on my face lol

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 15/03/2019 16:11

I’m trying to eat so healthily, but so often I have unbearable cravings for total cr*p...like, I’m going to be sick if I don’t eat it NOW. This does not bode well.

Just had my first booking in appointment and then have a second one in 2 weeks. This was just with a HCA. She was lovely, but it was a 10 minute appointment where she just gave me some forms...so frustrating after having to make excuses to get out of work, drive to the hospital, pay an arm and a leg for parking...gahhhh!

At least it’s Friday and the sun is out!

Knickersononeshead · 15/03/2019 16:21

I've just had mushy pea sarnies, no healthy stuff here 😂

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 15/03/2019 16:24

Grin Grin Grin

Mintypea5 · 15/03/2019 16:48

Garlic mash potatoes here!

DH came home early somive had a 2 hour nap! Feel rested for the first time in weeks. Now have to brave the weather to pick up DS1 from his friends

DillingersMoll · 15/03/2019 16:57

I had a massive bowl of cauliflower cheese for my lunch yesterday.
Also I normally can't stand peas but tested my little ones mushy peas yesterday and had an amazing taste explosion in my mouth 🙈😂

Hayley89 · 15/03/2019 17:37

@DillingersMoll I think I might have to have some cauli cheese for dinner now, I can't stop thinking about it 🙈

MrsPMT23 · 15/03/2019 17:54

@Dillingersmoll I saw your post and I've just tried to convince my DH to cook me a big bowl of cauliflower cheese for dinner. 😂 I'm craving all the carbs! Plus cheesy chips with looooads on salt and vinegar!

I slept from 20.30 until 6.45 last night and thought I'd have a quick nap this afternoon...2h30 later I wake up...!

Leleophants · 15/03/2019 17:57

So worried about mc :( symotoms gone and never really been present. No blood or anything though.

How can you tell with mmc?

Mintypea5 · 15/03/2019 18:09

@Leleophants just to try reassure you a bit I don’t really get symptoms sonitbdoesnt always mean bad news. Unfortunately a MMC won’t shown until a scan but I’d suggest if you’re teallybworried maybe booking an early scan?

Sad all this cauliflower cheese talk!! I usually love it but pregancy makes me hate it ... the smell

DillingersMoll · 15/03/2019 18:15

@MrsPMT23 @Hayley89 Sorry!!
Oh my god! Cheese chips tho.....heaven 😍
I've gone and made myself sausages for this evening but just had a bite of one....safe to say I'll be leaving them for my other half when he gets home tonight 😕
