Anxiety prior to 12 week scan next week

Hello ladies, guess I’m just after reassurance, postive stories or just a general hand hold. I had a missed miscarriage last year and found out at my 12 week scan that the pregnancy had not got further than the later part of 8 weeks. This time around I have had an early private 9 week reassurance scan that showed a lovely heartbeat. I balled my eyes out but I knew it was only temporary reassurance. Now the big one is approaching the sick anxious feeling has set in and I’m just praying I don’t get bad news again. I still feel tired, bloated, crazy dreams etc etc but I’m just so scared!! It’s also my 30th birthday 3 days after and I don’t want my whole birthday ruined 😢 xx

Ooh @fluffyunicorns86 that's great news that you don't have to hang on to 20 weeks. I feel like little steps helps somewhat. I'm sure you're anxious to get to 20 after you lost your son at 18 xx I'm sure all will be well for you this time 😘 ❤️
I've just lurgied my way around Boots looking for eczema friendly creams. I didn't even bother looking at cold and flu stuff as I doubt I can take the useful ones! You go in for one thing and end up with a bag full of stuff that was on offer or smelled nice! 🤪 xx

@russiandwarf yeah I am glad I don't have to wait that long breaks it up a little bit even if it is just to check length of cervix hope I get a little look at baby 2. Yeah I am very anxious about getting to 20 weeks with what happened. Like you say am sure will be ok this time especially with all extra care I getting xx 😘❤ my son has eczema bless him has done since he was new born bless him it's not nice for him. I know what you mean nothing we can take which is crazy I think. Yeah I always do the same in for one thing out with loads lol xx

Hi @fluffyunicorns86 how are you? I'm ok, currently stressing about whether or not I will see a heartbeat at 16 week scan on Thursday. I also now have to have the same scan you are having for cervix the following week. Hope you've had a good weekend and you are feeling good 😘

@Russiandwarf I am sure everything will be fine hun. I know how you feel though I am the same especially as I am not feeling movements yet although its early as only 15 weeks today but I felt them early with my son so panicking a bit. Oh have you i got mine on the 25th when yours? Been a busy weekend tbh hun am so stressed out at the minute which is not good but hope you had a good weekend xx

Hi @missrose0110! Yes everything is well thank you. I had my 16 week appointment couple weeks ago and heard a lovely heartbeat. I’m 18 weeks tomorrow and have my 20 week scan a week Monday. To be completely honest I’m still struggling with anxiety and worrying about how 20 weeks will go. I also don’t have much of a bump, and have had no feelings yet which I know can be completely normal! I just feel like I really want to be able to enjoy pregnancy now instead of worrying all the time! How are you doing my lovely??? Xx

Just popping back in to say hello to everyone 👋 Hope everyone had a lovely Easter bank holiday. Sorry for lack of response to your last post @fluffyunicorns86 ! I got myself into a bit of a state with anxiety and haven't really been on here. All went well with 16 week reassurance scan and have the cervix scan tomorrow. Despite my size and extra weight gain the midwife managed to hear a heartbeat on the Doppler this morning as well 😳😂 @Babycakes1989 I am also worrying about 20 week scan so you're not alone. I thought I would feel better at this stage but not really! The midwife seemed really positive this morning though and said that obviously no one can guarantee anything, but that if all is looking as it should at this point then our odds are pretty good so I'm keeping everything crossed for all of us! 🤞❤️

@russiandwarf I had a good Easter thanks hope you did aswell? That's ok hun I have been really anxious last week or so aswell got pre term clinic Thursday with scan and that. Then going to try book early gender scan as I cant wait 4 weeks for 20 week scan. I think my anxiety is going to stay around till the birth tbh for all my history and that.

Argh! I forgot to reply sorry! @Babycakes1989 my 20 week scan is 16th May but I've got another cervix scan the day before now as well. I've lost track of dates - did you have your 20 week scan this week?

No they moved it to this Friday as the scanning machine had broken in the centre I was booked for 🤦🏽‍♀️ Just a day and bit to wait!! Ah yours will come round quick mine certainly has! Hope your feeling okay xxx

Sorry, I've not clicked on this thread in a while! We have our 20 week scan on 21st May, but we had a private scan last week and already know what we're having hehe. How's everyone doing? Xxx

I'm having that between scan panic as I felt some weird pains bending over earlier. Hope I've not squashed it 😳

Hello @russiandwarf. Glad all Is going ok for you hun. My cervix scan went fine but went to A&E yesterday with bleeding when examined they could see the cord ao lost my little girl yesterday at 17 weeks 2 days. Hope all goes well for you all. Still in hospital had a rough time and lost alot of blood aswell.

I hvave just back form a dating scan today, but the midwife told us she can only see the sac no baby.
To weeks ago I did a clearblue that said I was 2-3weeks witch I should be 4-5weeks to day.
Please can someone put my mine at rest.
Iam I to early or is there no baby.
