40 weeks pregnant - due date!

Hey! Anyone else share my due date?
Had a sweep yday, no signs as yet. Can't help but feel disappointed as everyone around me kept saying how I'll never make it to my due date because 'i'm massive' 😳 (I'm 5ft, Husband is 6ft - of course I'm going to look huge I'm pregnant 😂). Anyway, waiting fed up mama's - I feel ya!

I am in the same boat as you, had a sweep on Friday, lost the mucus plug, had a couple of twinges and that was it! Also developed at itch all over my body and my stretch marks have become red and inflamed, had tests done and nothing to do with the liver so who knows!

Hopefully your arrival will make an appearance shortly x

I don't even think I've lost my plug! I'm desperate for another sweep even though it wasn't very pleasant lol!
It's my birthday on Thursday 😁 could be sharing! Husbands birthday on 16th... hope baby doesn't share his birthday I really will be fed up then lol.

I was due last Sunday and still waiting. Unfortunately no signs as yet. Have an induction date the day before my mother’s birthday so looks like little one will be sharing. Just wish labour would start naturally. Fingers crossed we all start labour soon xx

I was due last Wednesday and am off for a sweep tomorrow morning at 41 weeks. Hoping they'll say things are on the move naturally but may talk about inductions.

I’m due on Friday! Same as you I don’t think I’ve lost the mucus plug yet, getting really impatient now to meet baby! I’ve got a sweep booked next week so fingers crossed that’ll get things started if they haven’t by then. Hope they all make an appearance soon! X

I have another sweep booked in on Monday and I think I can have one more before induction which will be 12 over due..
What have you ladies been doing at home to try and speed things up? I've bought some raspberry leaf tea and I've got an exercise ball I've been bouncing on the last couple of weeks. Been going for walks (but not too far as feet get swollen quickly 😅), plus the weathers been a bit iffy!

I’ve got an exercise ball and eating lots of jalapeños. Where did you get the raspberry leaf tea from I might give that a go!

I've got the raspberry leaf tablets rather than tea. Also been bouncing on the ball and trying to persuade my DH into DTD

Off for my sweep in an hour so we'll see if its made a difference.

I’ve tried raspberry leaf tea, curries, pineapple, birthing ball, walks, driving over bumpy roads... the lot!! I think these things only have a chance of working if labour is imminent unfortunately. But at least it makes you feel like you are doing something!!

I did try to look for the tabs rather than tea but couldn't find any 🙁
Oh gosh we tried and it was hysterical, can't say we enjoyed it 😳 was such a task - so good luck if he changes his mind lol!

I agree @Amcg7. I always feel like I want to do something to help other than sit there. The more I sit the more I think baby is getting comfortable and will never want to meet us! Can't imagine life not pregnant now, will be very strange lol!

Hi all, I'm due on Saturday.
I've had a few false starts this week and I lost a lot of not all of my plug yesterday after having it come away slowly for a few days.
It feels like everything has come to a hault now so may get on the birthing ball later.
I hope things start progressing for you now @babygfeb. This but is not fun!

Nope, nothing! Feel disappointed - AGAIN! How are all you ladies getting on?

Had a good sweep but still only 1-2cm dilated. The hospital are really pushing for induction as I've got a large baby but feeling a bit overwhelmed.

Just hope it goes naturally in the next two days before having to go in.

You must be really fed up by this point @moonlight1705! I hope the sweep kicks things off for you.
I've still had nothing since yesterday, even the Braxton Hicks have eased off. Not technically due for another 3 days but I was hoping the plug going was the start of things.

Maybe things will kick start for you during the night @babygfeb!!

@moonlight1705 hopefully your sweep works since you are that bit further a long. They do say it takes 24-48 to work but not sure how accurate that is. Have the hospital said how big they think the baby is?

Thanks all, feeling anxious which is not a good state. Scan says baby was nearly 10lb at 38 weeks but obviously there is error in there.

The trouble is that I have a large BMI so despite all tests to the contrary then they keep suggesting I might have GD i really don't

Believe it or not, I've lost MORE plug this morning! I couldn't quite believe it as the size of it yday, I was pretty sure that was all of it! I was very wrong haha!

@babygfeb today is my official due date but still nothing not even a twinge! Back at the consultant tomorrow morning so hoping for another sweep and to be booked in for induction. My GP called me this morning following my appointment on Monday as she has done some research and believes I have PUPPPs which is causing the rash and itch. Already put up with it for 2 weeks and hoping the consultant will be understand and realise I can’t put up with it for another 2 weeks as is unbearable and keeping me up through the night!

Any contractions yet?

Ouhhh I've heard of the pupp rash and heard it's not very nice. Hope they can settle things for you! What would they give you for it?
Yes, we'll.. unsure whether they are 'true' contractions. They are period pain types and not really feeling anything in my back so I think I'm just starting out? Looks like I will be sharing my birthday after all. That is if they keep going the way they are 😅

Was due on Monday. No sign. Not a sausage. Had some slight tummy pains on Tuesday and got hopeful, but alas, it was not to be! Midwife appointment tomorrow, hopefully they’ll sort me out a sweep. I think everyone’s sick of me whingeing “get this baby oooouuuuuut oooooof meeeeee”
