How many mommies have gotten pregnant on their first try conceiving in their fertility window?? My hubby and I have TTC once while I was in my fertility window and then he had to go back down south for military training. We aren't able to TTC 3 or more times a month due to him being gone so often. So on the rare chance, he is home close to my fertility window we try!! This is the first window we have had where I have been 2 days before my ovulation!! Need some positive thoughts about hoping we have convived!!

Me! I was 35 and convinced myself that we’d struggle. Conceived dd first month of trying and conceived ds during the second month two years later. I realise that we were incredibly lucky.

QuilliamCakespeare · 01/02/2019 19:36

I did. It was a shock!

He's 5 now and the most wonderful thing I've ever seen (except DC2 obviously!)

hdipper17 · 01/02/2019 19:37

That is amazing! Hopefully, we get that lucky! I hope to start having symptoms soon and in about 2 weeks take a test to see if my little munchkin is growing in me

It happened first try with all three times for me, aged 32, 36 and 37. Very lucky.

Reccy2018 · 01/02/2019 19:40

Me too. Was 31, overweight and did it once (or technically twice😉) in the fertile window.

hannah9176 · 01/02/2019 19:41

Me (kind of). I'd been off the pill since October but my husband also works away so our first time trying in our fertile window at the beginning of jan and I'm currently 5 weeks! X

GabbyGal · 01/02/2019 19:42

I did, stopped using contraception and planned to start tracking my cycle properly once my period arrived but it never did! We were very lucky, I expected it to take a few months at least.

WorriedMum11 · 01/02/2019 19:48

Yes twice - and I'm clinically obese!

hdipper17 · 01/02/2019 19:50

I am very new at this! I don't quite understand the lingo, DC2, DD, DS, BFP, BD stuff of that nature. but thats amazing!!! im so happy for all of you! I hope to be this lucky!

Me with ds2. Couldn't blimmin believe it!

carly2803 · 01/02/2019 19:55

yes twice!

I consider myself very lucky

Contraceptionismyfriend · 01/02/2019 19:56

DS1 I was on the pill. Took it religiously
Dd1 got pregnant first time trying in the fertile window.

And then this pregnancy took 9 months and two chemicals.

CottonSock · 01/02/2019 19:57

I did, loads of times and miscarriages often followed (x4, but 2 dds) .sorry, but you can't plan these things.

DramaAlpaca · 01/02/2019 19:57

Yes, me with DS2 as well. Huge shock as DS1 had taken almost a year. There's a 16 month gap between them.

Rtmhwales · 01/02/2019 19:59

@hdipper17

DS/DD/DC - Dear or Darling Son or Daughter our children (if it's DC 2 it's usually their second child, if it's DS(8) it usually means a son who is 8yo)
BFP - big fat positive (pregnancy test)
BD - Baby dance - sex

user1471426142 · 01/02/2019 20:01

I did both times and was very lucky really. Does make me worry a bit about future accidents and I do feel a bit guilty when I know I have friends that have struggled. I’ve never told anyone in real life that it was first attempt x2.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 01/02/2019 20:05

Me, twice. The first time I was thrilled. The second time I quite fancied a bit of ttc sex as we'd only just got our lives back after the first pregnancy/newborn/sleepless nights and then suddenly we were doing it all over again. We are evidently quite fertile, a hippie we know says we have lush pink auras which apparently means we're very fertile?!

Gekeos · 01/02/2019 20:12

Me twice, it was a huge shock both times as I don't think I was mentally prepared. Count myself very lucky. They are 11 and 8 now

Transpeaked · 01/02/2019 20:19

Yup. Not so lucky this time around but I’m now in my mid forties.

satsumasunrise · 01/02/2019 20:37

Yes, happened for me with both my children.

katsucurry · 01/02/2019 20:55

Yes, all three times. After the first two I thought massive coincidence... I'm currently due next month with number three, we were aiming for a summer baby! Wink

Frizzy1986 · 01/02/2019 21:09

We did. I'd told the husband that it would probably take at least 6 months. And bam, first attempt after we got hitched.
This time has been longer. 7 months last year yielded no results so we took a break, I got a new (much less stressful job) and we've caught on month 2. Fingers crossed it sticks.

TerriB1984 · 02/02/2019 00:04

Me three times, each time we only DD once in the fertile window. Second time ended in miscarriage unfortunately but I was pregnant again straight away after before getting a period. Before ttc Dd1 I always figured I’d have problems since I only have one ovary. Turns out I needn’t have worried.

PhoebeBear · 02/02/2019 07:21

Me! I'm currently almost 13 weeks with baby number 1! We decided last year to give it a try, we only had sex the once and when I did a test I was pregnant! 😊
I had previously been to the docs for smear test and asked out of the blue how long it can take to become pregnant. I believe on average it's about 6-7 months worth of trying while some people can take up to a year! Guess DP has got strong sperm 😂

BeeYouTiful · 02/02/2019 21:31

All three times were just "one time episodes" Blush When we accidentally slipped up this time I had to track ovulation just to check if we were safe and of course it was ovulation day.

Sometimes I can't get my head around it. This time especially so as I've been blitzed with radiation treatment and after being advised by my oncologist it could affect fertility altogether I do honestly feel utterly blessed.

No more for me though. That's my lot. Going to thoroughly enjoy growing this last little one (she says with her head down the toilet for the fifth time today)
