9dpo faint line on First Response Rapid Results

Hi ladies,

so I miscarried 23/12 (all clear the wk after when I went for a check up scan)

today its been 9 days since we did the deed again (sexy time) and I've just felt a little... different? or maybe hopeful I guess .. anyway I thought FUDGE it i'm taking a test...

now I've edited the effect so you can see it but i'm seeing a feint line huns....

any comments?

Was your last Mc at this stage ? Lots of people have brown spotting , feel for you but it might not be bad news

Probably implantation bleeding, I had it myself. The fact the lines getting stronger is really good, it's what my doctor told me to keep checking for. Try not to worry

It's getting stronger. Brown blood is old blood fx for you 🤞

hey @sh13 my no I was 7/8 wks when I miscarried (twins) at this stage i'd only just got a feint line which I had to play with the colour a bit like 9dpo on this picture (top stick) xxx

That positive is darker today!! Spotting can be totally normal in early pregnancy try not to worry yourself too much! I've had spotting too and I'm trying not to worry myself I'm only in my 4th week so got a reassurance scan booked for when I'll be 8 weeks. If you have bad cramping and the bleeding turns into a period type bleed then go to the doctors (That's what I've been told) hard not to think too much into it though..

I've got a stinking cold and banging headache and now definitely not taking any form of tablets just incase!!

going to try and have a day off tomorrow (as in from thinking about it all) and see what sunday brings.

Yeah it can't come quick enough but every time I go the loo I'm checking the toilet paper just in case, it's such a scary time! I'm full of cold aswell, must be our immune systems being lower as our bodies are taking care of the babies instead

yes you do! I was hoping to go home sick at lunch as I feel horrendous and don't fancy the tube home in rush hour with this fever! but the other PA has had to go home as her dog walker is snowed in ......................... Happy Thoughts

So quick update! All those tests were FIRST RESPONSE RAPID RESULTS which I’m guessing is super sensative as has to show up in 45 seconds. I’ve been getting BFN on first response EARLY results all week until today... but still kinda feint? But it’s the first positive I’ve got on this type all week.

I’m gonna do my final test tomorrow and if the same I’ll call the docs Monday.

But here you go! First 3 are the ones you’ve seen and then the final test is what I’ve just taken (which at 3:30pm maybe I should have done it this morning!?) either or.

There are second lines on your tests, although they're faint there's definitely lines on there but I think maybe you should do a clear blue digital because it will actually say pregnant on it if you are! Eitherwise you're going to drive yourself insane with these lines. When I took mine the lines were quite faint at first and I was using quite cheap tests so I did a clear blue to see for sure and I was so nervous that it would say not pregnant but when it said pregnant I felt such a relief! X I'll attach the photos..
first photo is the cheapos off Amazon 14dpo that I got and they were quite faint and then the clear blue and then the test now 22dpo

I wouldn't do a CB digital too soon unless over 4weeks. I waited to 5 weeks to get the elusive 3+ result.

@nel123baby Funny you say that I bought a clear blue today... 2 actually... I feel scared to take it ☹️ I keep thinking about dates and how many “DPO” I actually am as I haven’t even had a period since my MC in December so who knows what I am I just know I last had sex on 20/01 (completely zero sex drive since mc poor boyfriend I know!) thanks Nel xxx

@Angelmiracle yes my last pregnancy I got a negative until 15 days after i did the deed (can tell I’m useless with this dpo lol!)

I guess all I’ve wanted the last 6 weeks which I know is nothing compared to what some poor women go through is to be pregnant and the thought that I’m getting these feint lines and then get a negative outcome honestly petrifies me and I don’t know why but posting photos of these bloody feint lines and you ladies commenting is just giving me hope and comfort

Maybe take one tomorrow and if that says not pregnant take the other one a week later.
It's so hard to stop yourself from taking so many tests I've actually lost count how many I've taken in the past week it's so addictive x

Hi @DollyDoo - do you have any idea when your period could be due? The First Response Rapid Results are notorious for false positives/evap lines unfortunately, but I can see a really faint line on your normal First Response, but can’t see anything but an evap on your Clearblue. I’ve been in the position before where my lines weren’t getting any stronger and it was a chemical pregnancy, but I hope yours get darker!

@Dollydoo22 I can see a faint line there on that clear blue. Did you get a digital test as well that you can do? I think at this point you've had so many faint second lines on your tests so HCG must be getting picked up! X

@Madlaw94 I've taken a lot of those internet cheap tests and they do sometimes have evaporation lines or indents which in my own experience drove me insane. However, I also got my positives off them so they do work. I can see what you can see but I can't see any colour to it it's more of like greyish very faint lines and when I researched this before for myself it said a colourless line is either Evap or indent. If I were you I'd take another test in a few days or wait a week because it could just mean that your HCG isn't high enough to detect on a test yet x
I'll attach a photo of one of those same tests that I did a couple of months ago that I was convinced was positive but turned out to be an evap or indent

@Nel123baby I'm meant to get my period today I normally get really bad back ache before and not had none and with my little girl I was on day late got a faint line then does a clear blue that was positive but this time is different with these werid lines makes my eyes funny trying see them. Il just wait a few more days and test x
